Landon Jackson woke up to small cries. He had just fallen asleep after a night out in town. His head throbbed, probably from the small bit of alcohol that he had. He groaned a bit as he got of bed. He knew that his younger sister had a nanny, but he was still worried about her. He threw on a tight off white shirt that somehow managed to clash with his dark sweatpants.
With him being an alpha, a single one at that, he knew that his time to find a mate was coming. He was of age for a mate. His whole body was pining for it. It was one of the reasons he started to act out and go out at all times of night.
He slowly made his way to his sisters room. It was on.the other side of the castle from his. In a separate wing. He slowly opened the door. The cries from the small child stopped as she reached out for him. He gave her a gentle smile and picked her up from the bed.
She put her head in his neck, sucking her thumb quietly. The cries had stopped for the moment. He rubbed her back in small and gentle circles. He began to pace around the room. He wasn't sure how long it usually took her to go back to sleep after one of her nightmares. He had never done this before.
Landon eventually sat down in the rocking chair that was in the corner of the room. It was taking what seemed like forever. He didn't remember taking this long as a child, even with his nanny helping him.
