The Plot
Present day. The supernatural have finally revealed themselves. This almost caused a war which was stopped when The Seven, a council of the most powerful supernaturals from all seven continents, got involved and proposed legal citizenship. This meant binding the supernatural to the laws and regulations that humans live by, and then some even stricter laws in order to protect all species involved. Recently, the supernatural have gained legal citizenship in most countries. During this period, known as "The New Cold War", governments of all countries raced to start recruiting the supernatural into secret government task forces. These programs go on missions too dangerous for mere mortals to go on. And usually, the fate of the world rides on them not failing. One of these task forces, run by DARPA, has been christianed Upsilon.
The Council
The Council is the Supernatural version of the UN. There are seven and each one represents a different area -- Africa, The Americas, The UK, Europe, Asia, Australia, and The Middle East. The Seven are the most powerful supernatural creatures in their respective continents. They have a lot of pull when it comes to Upsilon as they help DARPA with the taskforce financially, as well as filter information to be investigated.
