yes, I used to RP naruto... can't say I would do it again. Had fun back then tho.
keep in mind I developed this charrie through RPing and constantly updated him.
by the time I was finished this character was god-like.
probably why I stopped rping naruto.
Character name-
Yorukei Vanslaz
Titles: Shadow master, Nightlord, Shadowlord.
Age-
31
Rank-
Class S Nukenin
Village-
Ex-Amegakure
Justus-
Basic forms of jutsu, normal things you learn while being in the adademy, genin, chuunin, and jounin.
he has no special blood line abilities, but did get some rather nifty abilities from this so called 'Shadow Dragon'
1- Shadow Walk--- The shadow walk enables Vanslaz to choose a shadow (NOT including his own) And disappear through it, using it as a gateway to other shadows. He is able to EXIT out of any shadow within his visual range from where he entered, or to a shadow in a place that he remembers.
2- Shadow Step [always active]--- The most basic shadow ability he has, it merely deafens the sound you make and enhances his stealth greatly.
3- Ryuu Kage Bunshin no Jutsu--- This is similar to the Kage Bunshin no jutsu technique except that each clone acts independantly with very little concentration from Vanslaz and is at 50% power of Vanslaz himself, they became stronger due to Vanslaz's extensive studies of the shadow dimension and with enhancements from the Ryuu Kage What makes these special is that Van can only make a maximum of Five Bunshin. But in turn these five can create an additional five bunshin of their own, at 50% power of the origional clones, completely of their will. That's all however, the chain ends at the second 'generation'.
4- Yochi Shikiizekkou (World Threshold Breach)--- Vanslaz uses his shadow walk ability to indefinantly remain in a state between that of traveling through the shadow dimension and the normal world, rendering him incorperal but still visible. In this state of between dimension defence he cannot move himself from that position.
5- Shadow Claws--- Vanslaz focuses his chakra and the shadows around both of his hands. The shadow mingles with his chakra and solidifies around his hand, wrist, and lower arm. The fingers are pointed and the insides sharpened like blades. He has various things he can do with these. First... they make very handy back-up weapons =D. Second... with a sudden jolt of chakra he can shoot one, or up to five, of his claws at a time at an opponent ((Range limited to 25 feet)). He can use this ability even when equipped with his katars, as they are attached to his forearm, not held in his hand. The shadow merely solidifies in a different manner this way.
6- Eyes of the True Ryuu Kage--- he has these permanently, it in itself is a blessing and a curse... the eyes of the true Ryuu Kage are solid black and grey, which swirl constantly, never stopping. This in itself can be one ability of it, if a weak minded person were to stare into his eyes they would be mesmerized, disoriented, and just dazed for a few minutes before they shook it off. The real property of this is to manipulate and alter the shadows around him, and of those he is aware of. The first thing he can do is stretch, condense, move, and make the shadows more dense, as to hinder visibility. The next thing it allows him to do is to see in the shadows, and in darkness, as if it were normal light. The last thing he can do is use the shadows of places he has been, or of people he knows very well and look through them. He can also hear, but it is muffled, quieted.
7. Shadow Orb--- This is one of his most powerful blood-line Jutsu, at first he just dreamed about it, and then he finally realized how to do it. Swirling his chakra around his fist (either one) he then uses his eyes of the Ryuu Kage to summon shadow to it, turning it gray of various shades to finally a deep black, also an actual entity of the shadow dimension is called into the swirling power and devours Vanslaz's hand as it requires an offering of flesh to operate correctly. The Shadow Orb seems to have different effects depending on the skill of the enemy. I'll classify these so it is easier to document and understand.
Academy Students/Villagers/Common people/--- It instantly annihilates them on contact, it blocks BOTH their chakra flow AND their flow at certain points, The shoulders, the Elbows, the neck, the knees, and the hip joints. From here the victim can do nothing until they finally explode from pressure and are engulfed in a black flame that devours the remains instantly, making it appear as if they merely vanished.
Genin level--- For Genins it is just as deadly but not as helpless to counter. Following the same route it first inflicts physical damage on impact and then seeps into the body and starts trying to block off the chakra flow and the blood flow, if this fails it instead moves to the brain and seeks to confuse, or disable certain bodily functions i.e. breathing, one of the five senses, or movement. If this fails than the jutsu just fails and nothing happens other than the painful impact.
Chuunin Level--- At the Chuunin Level it takes a more physical aspect and seeks to just do bodily and tissue damage instead of interal damage, which it still does but on a lesser scale. On impact from the shadow-ball the jutsu behaves like the Resengan but not as powerful, the impact is much harder, able to cause a full-grown elephant to stumble, it also heavily damages the flesh and muscle tissue on and around the area of impact, creating a fourth degree burn of sorts than burns constantly for days on end. Instead of blocking off chakra (Because most Chuunins can controle their chakra well enough to dispel it if they know how), it mainly goes for the brain, seeking to disable body functions much the same way that the genin are.
Jounin+ Level--- At the Jounin+ level it behaves like a catastrophic nuclear warhead on the body, completely ignoring the internal effects and skipping straight to the physical. Instead of effecting just one area the Shadow-Ball hits the target and instantly spreads to cover the whole body, eating at any protective gear, flesh, muscle, and even bone in some places of thin skin and muscle coverage (I.E. face, elbow, knee, feet, hands ect). It lasts only a few excruciatingly painful seconds as it eats away the majority of the flesh and muscle on the body. Vanslaz has yet to find a way to block this so he doesn't use it much in case someone gets lucky and manages to deflect it towards him. And while it consumes one of his hands and a great amount of chakra in the process he can either throw it from his hand, or use it as a close range weapon.
8- Shadow Mind Torture--- By controlling yet more power from the shadow dimension one is able to force shadows (an incorperal thing) into your opponents mind, there are varying degrees depending on the chakra level and strength of the opponent: these will be labeled as general strength for- villager, academy student, Genin, Chuunin, Jounin, S-classnin.
Villager- the total insanity of your twisted mind and slaughterous wishes is focused into the shadows that seep into the villager's mind. At first it is a dizzying experience, then hallucinations follow, these hallucinations are so vile, so disgustingly morbid and dreadful that the subject falls into insanity, loosing all ability to focus and think correctly, they are stricken with fear so intence that they loose the ability to breath, and the heart-rate quickens... but with no oxygen to fuel the heart it slows, and slowly stops, Literally dieing of fright.
Genin- Towards a genin, who has had SOME amount of chakra controle, and can recognize basic genjutsu it has a lesser effect than against that of a villager or academy student(who I count as the same). At first the shadow moves to cloud the eyes, but does not blind them, this is just so it can place the hallucinations within the mind easier. It then moves straight from the eyes and ears to the brain. Here the dizzyness starts, then the minor hallucinations, aiming for whatever their greatest fear is. It will show them needles if that is their greatest fear, their family members dieing, ect... if this does not seem to effect the nin. The shadow within the brain will effect the nervous system, along with the hallucinations, into trying to make the nin beleiving he/she is being tortured. In the end the genjutsu aims to have the genin fall into insanity as well, but just enough to leave them alive.
Chuunin- Against a chuunin it works differently than the previous. As usual it makes it way to the brain through the mouth, nose, eyes, and ears. Followed by the usual hallucinations of death, morbidity, torture, fear, and whatnot. This effects the mind and either tries to make the opponent fall into temporary insanity, or send them into seziure-like convulsions. It does have a very small chance of being dispelled, as it is shadow base and seems to have a natural resistance to the dispelling technique.
Jounin- Same as Chuunin, but with a greater chance of being dispelled.
S-Class- Against an S-Class foe this is meant merely to distract while gaining time to hide or strategically fight while stunned. Otherwise as Jounin, but with full chance of being dispelled.
Elemental Change(shadow)-- Due to Vanslaz's extensive research and secret training he can use elemental jutsu and change the element of the jutsu to shadow by adding his own black chakra and surrounding shadow to the jutsu. This also allows him to trigger any jutsu as if it was a shadow ability.
Name: Kage no Yoroiheki (Shadow Armor Pierce)
Description: Vanslaz, or some other highly skilled shadow-jutsu user, focuses chakra and shadow into his hands and arms. This allows the hand and forearms to pass through armor or orther solid shield (A sunagakure's sand shield for example... sorry I forget the name). This also reduces the full strength of the attack however.
the thing Haseo taught him.
Ability to look through inanimate objects using his shadow and hidden mental capability, can see the history of inanimate objects.
Kagehansha no Jutsu
Description: Vanslaz concentrates on his shadow chakra and is able to reflect any ranged jutsu that he has the chakra supply to be able to originally use the technique.
Weapons-
A set of katars (Or wrist blades, of punching daggers, or whatever other name you have for them it's all the same basic concept. And if you are unaware as to one looks like, there's a lovely pair in my piccy.)- The large open gauntlet that he wears (In the pic again) Has his katars build into them, using the spike on the outside he can carefully retract the blades of the katar up into the guantlet, and can be triggered to release by squeezing the pressure-triggered handle that releases the spring.
-A pouch of suriken.
-kunai carefully concealed.
-A wakazashi carried on his left hip.
-A ninja-to carried on his right hip.
A special katar he has is the Crimson Legacy, the holder of the jewel of virtue. It allows him to absorb jutsu and store it within the jewel to be used later. It also allows him to summon a special guardian of the west.
History-
Vanslaz was born and raised just like any other child in Amegakure. He had a father, a mother, yet no siblings, which he was slightly thankful for. He wasn't the most popular kid, yet he wasn't a loner either. He had plenty of friends, and in fact was quite ordinary until after he became a Chuunin. But that's later in the story... Vanslaz went to the ninja academy in the village hidden in the rain, just like any other kid. He learned the basics at just the tiniest bit quicker than the vast majority of his peers, and he graduated the first time around. As a Genin the first slight change came over him, but it wasn't negative... it was a thirst for knowledge. Yes, knowledge, he wanted to know and learn everything. And not just the easy jutsus, he wanted to know what it did, how it did it, how to use it, how to defend against it, and when to use each particular jutsu. He did just as well as the other Genin on their rather... uneventful missions. Rescuing cats, defending gardens from vicious crows, relaying messages from various people in town. Very exciting... but he did it without a grumble, without complaint. As the Chuunin exam came around he was... if anything... overly prepared for it. As the written portion came around he determined the meaning half a minute into the test, and easily passed. As the second part came around, he led his cell into the forest and again... they easily succeeded. And as the third part came once again, they got through.
It was when Vanslaz became a Chuunin that he learned something and again changed. He slowly had an incurable desire, a burning in the pit of his stomach that spread to every cell of his body. He couldn't place a finger on it at first, so he went along, handling missions as usual. Albeit these new missions were far more interesting. Guarded Escort, spying, minor thievery from another village, and so fourth. It was nearing the time of the Jounin exams that he placed his finger right on the button... it was power... that's what he craved. At the time it didn't matter what kind of power he just wanted more. Unfortunately Ame didn't have a Kage... but that hardly bothered him. He'd simply become the most powerful nin in Ame. So he trained, day in, and day out, before, during, and after missions. He got just enough sleep to keep him going, but other than that it was training. He became distant from his friends, and slowly became distant with his family. He parents didn't think much of it, and when they saw him that said they were proud, and hoped he became the most powerful nin in the village. After a while they had few chances to say even that. He soon began sleeping outside, training, then falling from exhaustion, sleeping, and training again... every so often he'd get a letter from another nin requesting that he came and joined a mission. And each mission he joined showed them all of his growing power, of his potential. He was given harder missions, from the C class he had been doing as he first became Chuunin, to B class after his training. Then the Jounin exams came around... and once again, if not with fiercer determination, Vanslaz savagely chewed up and spat out the exam... so to speak anyway.
Now, as a Jounin, Vanslaz became even more distant, hardly even visiting the village anymore as he claimed to have met a being by the name of the 'True Shadow Dragon'. He was gone constantly, and his attitude greatly changed. No, he didn't want to be the greatest nin in just his village. Was now aspired to be the greatest nin... in the world! And as his training exhausted him, and his own desire to be stronger clouded his thinking. His outlook changed, his perspective totally swirled around. Other nin's were merely just practice subjects, test things for him to experiment his growing power on. His last mission that he accepted... was an S class mission. One of the only S classes given in that small village. After that he left the village entirely, and killed any nin that sought to deliver another message for him. He threw off his family name and gave himself the name of Yorukei, though he went by his personal name instead. And he cast aside his village, scratching away the emblem upon his headband and cutting in a new one. And while most other nin practiced jutsus that were part of their village 'element' so to speak... Vanslaz learned jutsus... based from the very shadows around everyone. If anyone were to live an encounter with him, and ask
"Where do you learn such jutsus?"
Vanslaz would smirk and say as he slit the persons throat.
"From the True Shadow Dragon himself...."
He would say, full of confidence.... but thus far this.... 'True Shadow Dragon' has not been proven to be real... for all anyone... even Vanslaz himself knows.... it could be just a figment of his imagination.....
Soon after he was named a Missing-nin, though he was self-exiled from Ame. It wasn't too far after being named a missing nin that he came across the Akatsuki for the second time. The first time being during his S class mission. He knew of them... naturally... during his knowledge-thirsty stage he drunk up any information about hidden organizations. But this was the first time meeting them in a non-hostile manner. They had a nice chat... Vanslaz using all his will-power as to not attempt to rip them into pieces. After a while, and some nice tea and raman Vanslaz agreed to join them. A family of missing-nin... how amusing. He gave them his word not to slaughter any member of the Akatsuki on sight and also said that he'd keep an eye out for and alert them if he came across (and survived) any hunter-nin. And with that he tipped his .... head, gave them a hearty 'Ta ta' and left to continue his training.... well, it was more of a "Get on with it..... you're wasting my precious practicing time...."
During the war Vanslaz discovered a new way to obtain immortality, it was through the dimensional jutsu... for the time being Vanslaz could only tap into the power of the shadow dimension, thanks to the True Ryuu Kage whom had finally revealed itself to him. Vanslaz always figured that he had to have the essence of a demon within him. But a dragon? and a shadow dragon at that... this was starting to become intensely intriguing. He spent most of the time of the war within a small potion of the shadow-dimension. It allowed him to study it, and to further his own power. He swore that he was only within the shadow-dimension for an hour... if that... but when he re-emerged.... the war was already over. Figuring that using the dimension of shadow he could obtain a way to trick time. Currently he only knows how to make time (for him) go by faster... but with the Cave of the Dawn under his control how... he shall be experimenting with this shadow dimension, and with the shadow dragon within him.
Vanslaz began inspecting every little detail in his hidden room far under the earth. The room literally glowed with the chakra imbued into the walls and runes that were etched into every visible part of the surface area of the room. If anyone other than Vanslaz and those he invited even so much and breathed into the room dozens upon dozens of intricate traps lied around the door and room itself would have sprung, not so much as to kill the intruder, as was it's original intention, but to destroy the room as well. As it held secrets to Vanslaz and his shadow-dimension that he would not allow anyone to learn of.
Over the next few years he would spend most of his time down here, rarely even going into his room. He rarely ate, rarely slept... after the first year he would sit in the room, doing no-one knows what for days at a time.
At first he ate and slept regularly, for the first year. After the first year went by he ate and slept less and less. After the second year he mostly went about in a trance like state, not allowing himself to leave for fear of being unable to protect himself fully. And all through this time he fought, he fought, and trained, and fought some more... this is what the room was for... it was his own training room... what did he train against? That's his secret... whatever horrors he came up with to consider 'equal' or greater than himself in order to become a challenge enough to train...
and always... always... loomed the dragon in his soul. Rearing it's head and light-eating eyes, always promising true power was just ahead, promising that he would be equal to onikage... would surpass him. It drove him on... more than once did he nearly succumb to that eternal sleep that was death in his ever-pressing needs to train... but he pulled through, he wasn't afraid of death, but he had a goal. He would surpass death, and each time he thought he was going to die he smiled smugly and mocked death by pushing onwards.
Near the end of the third year... Vanslaz disappeared completely. If someone were to gather the courage to seek him out within his room or the hidden chamber underneath it they would find nothing.
If onikage himself were to seek Vanslaz out... he would be left with an interesting black trail of chakra still milling about the hidden chamber, but no sign of Vanslaz. No sign that Vanslaz was even on that continent...
Vanslaz was missing... and the world would not know if this was good.... or bad...
Appearance-
Vanslaz's Akatsuki Cloak has been customized just for him. It is a solid black cloak with different shades of gray clouds that swirl in on themselves and back out. Otherwise he looks exactly like the below piccy. ((New and improved from the last one ^-~.. yeah, lime hair an purple clothes and all. Still keeping the old piccy for Katar reference)). Vanslaz... the things on his hands are the katar's. A new talisman in the form of a dragon crawling around the symbol for shadow. (It's an asian snake-dragon). The chain is a black-silver and the talisman's dragon is onyx, the character is wholly-silver.
Other...
Shadow Injection-- Vanslaz injects a substance made of pure shadow, Vanslaz's blood, and a small drop of the Shadow Dragon's essence (which he acquires through his own ritual within a room of darkness.). This injection has a 50/50 chance of succeeding, upped to about 90% if the target is blood related. The target undergoes a solid week of nothing but emotional, mental, and physical stress and pain that steadily builds to a point where it is worse than the worst torture. If the target survives they are 'bound' to Vanslaz but granted some of his and the shadow dragon's power. They start to develop symptoms... dislike to light, graying eyes, preferability to dark places, and a small understanding of shadow.
Current Abilities are:
Telepathic and Empathic link
Shadow Walk (When taught)
Shadow Step (When taught)
Shadow Claws (When taught)
Note: The target in no-way has part of the Shadow Dragon in them, they have no call over it, and can in no way call upon the shadow dragon's power. I will add other things to the after-effects of shadow-injection at a later time...
Dragon Gates Opened: Shadow, Water, Earth, Fire, Wind.
Rings: Arc Completed.
