Posting Rules:
NOTE: The primary goal of these posting rules is to maximize the fun for everyone. If any part of them gets in the way, having fun takes precedence.
After the initial get-to-know-eachother period (before the Inciting Event), play will take one of two forms: Crunch Time or Free Time. Unless stated otherwise, it is assumed that Free Time rules are in place. Crunch Time typically occurs in combat situations, though it can also be used for any other situation where time is of the essence in character.
Free Time: During Free Time, each player will post in order, limiting themselves to one main post at a time. This is to ensure that a player who has less time available to engage doesn't miss out on the fun. Players are allow to drop in smaller posts at points when it is not their turn, as long as those smaller posts are limited to things like dialogue or responses to posts by other players. When in doubt, ask in the OOC thread!
Crunch Time: During Crunch Time, each player will post in order, as determined by an initiative roll. Responsive posts are not allowed during Crunch Time.
POST DEADLINES: Each player is expected to post twice per week. If a player's post is not made by Tuesday morning, 9am Eastern US and by Friday morning, 9 am Eastern US, they forfeit their post and the next player can continue on. Wherever possible, reach out on the OOC channel and give a vague idea of what you would like to do as your character if you know you won't be able to post in time... or ask for an extension if you need one!
If all players have posted, they are free to continue on posting unless (a) they need Gamemaster response or (b) they are in Crunch Time.
