Twenty Five year old Adrian Diver opened his eyes to darkness. The rear of his head was throbbing in unison with his heartbeat. He didn't remember much of the events of before, he was walking with his girlfriend and bam, a swift blow to the back of the head and he was down and out for the count. His hands were restrained behind his back, that much he knew. He felt like he could feel something covering his face, meaning he was unable to see anything at all. Anxiety, fear and dread were the overriding feelings in his mind, though this was all eclipsed by the need to know where his girlfriend was. She had been walking with him at the time of what he could only assume was an attack, all he hoped was that they only wanted him and she was allowed to go on her way. This though was highly unlikely, the chances of an attacker leaving a witness were unheard of. Was she even alive? He gulped hard, his throat both dry and sore all at the same time his breathing fast and laboured as he tried to listen for any sort of inclination as to he might possibly be.
He tried to wiggle his arm, though his muscular arms and torso couldn't remove whatever was restricting his hands. What he did feel was a shirt and with his loose fingers he was able to feel the waistband to a pair of trousers meaning he was clothed. This at least was a positive. Adrian heard a set of keys jingle and they were placed into what he could only assume was a door. The keys clanged together as he felt the breeze of a door being swung open in front of him. There were footsteps, just a single set from what he could tell as someone approached him.
"Get the fuck up asshole", came the voice of an unknown male. He sounded young, possibly even as young as 21. It was impossible to know anything else about the man at this point but many questions ran through his mind. Was he armed? Was he alone in this? What did they want from him? Adrian tried to maintain his calm and keep his breathing at such a rate that would not show weakness, though it was foolish to think anyone else in his position wouldn't also be feeling the heat in this moment.
"Where is she, my girlfriend, where is she?" His voice was a mixture of pleading for information and defiant confidence. The confidence was more than almost certainly misplaced but given whatever was likely to happen right now would end up with him being dead, he had nothing to lose.
"She is fine, for now." The admission that she was fine was enough, she was alive. Whoever was with him tugged at his arm and forcefully pulled Adrian to his feet. He was pushed forward, made to walk toward what he assumed was the open door in front of him. He didn't question anything, he did as his kidnapper was urging him to do and just walked in the direction that he needed to move. His arm was still being held, as if he was being guided which in truth was needed considering he was unable to see. "I will take you to see her, we will remove this sack from your head when we get there."
A deep feeling of relief overcame him, whatever this person was going to do to Adrian provided he saw his girlfriend first, he didn't care. He just needed to know she was okay, knowing she was okay would give him the strength he needed to fight and fight he would. Adrian though needed to know more. He needed to know their present location, could he find any meaningful escape routes and further would it be possible to get his girlfriend out with him? All things to ponder later. The walk he was led on was brief, another door was opened and he was forced to sit in a chair he could feel his legs being tied to the legs of the chair and his arms were bound to the back of the chair with his hands still together also. Given he was assured the sack would be removed from his head when his girlfriend was there, he assumed he was not yet in a room with her.
"Hello", he called out as footsteps of at least another two people entered the room, possibly three. He felt this could possibly be the end, the end of his life. That being said, he was certain that if death was their main agenda then he would already have lost his life at the hands of this man or men as it now seemed the case may well have been. "Just tell me what the fuck is going on? Do you want money? I have money, just let me and my girlfriend go". His pleading was met with silence as Adrian began to breathe heavier and faster.
