Name: Virginia van Buren (a.k.a. Gina)
Age: 19
Sexual orientation: Pansexual
Background: The van Burens' marriage was strained before Gina was even born. Gina made it much worse. Her mother never wanted a child, walked away from the family when Gina was a young girl, leavin her with her father. Her father loved her, but was the product of an abusive childhood himself, and coped with explosive, terrifying rages on a hair-trigger temper, frequently subjected upon his daughter. Gina, with no means of defending herself or escaping his rage, learned to avoid his rage by avoiding notice, and when that didn't work, curling up in a ball and crying until the screaming was over.
Sometimes, Gina's teachers or other adults would try to report their suspicions, but her father was not (usually) physically abusive, so nothing came of it. Gina's avoidance of anything that could possibly result in conflict prevented her from approaching other children, and they inevitably lost patience with her crying and helplessness anyway, so she made few friends. Instead, Gina found refuge in books: they did not threaten or demean her, and they provided escape into another world - often with protagonists who faced bigger problems with hers with bravery she wished she had. As she grew older, her literary interest became scholastic achievement, and she graduated from high school on the honour roll. With her pick of universities and scholarships, she moved into residence, pursuing a degree in science.
Gina's first year at university was similar to the years she spent with her father: immersing herself in her studies, trying not to be noticed. Since starting her second year, she's tried to get out more: she dyed her hair, attended a few parties, and made a few friends. She's currently dating two other students, a boy and a girl, and is trying to decide who to give her virginity to (and is wondering if there's any chance she could negotiate a threesome). She can only undertake these efforts, however, because she feels safe and in control of her own life. There's no telling what will happen if that safety and control is ripped away from her.
Personality: No one is less suited to be a superhero than Gina - and yet, here we are. She does not want superpowers and is terrified of conflict. She has little tolerance for physical or emotional pain and, if placed under pressure, will probably attempt to flee, or break down if that is not possible.
Outside of superheroics, Gina is quiet and solitary, though she's been trying to get out of her shell lately. She spent her childhood afraid to admit her father's abuse and, if she has a problem, will tend to close up and suffer in silence rather than reach out. Her hobbies include books, the internet, and casual gaming.
Appearance: Gina is petite, but hides her body under baggy clothes like hoodies or cargo pants. Her hair is naturally brown, but currently dyed purple, and her eyes are grey. Being raised by her father from a young age, she never learned how to properly groom herself, and often looks like she just rolled out of bed.

In her superheroic form, Gina's skin is black as onyx (but still as soft as flesh), while her hair and eyes are shining white. Her body and facial shape don't technically change, but her features are hard to make out due to the darkness of her skin, her most memorable visual element (her dyed hair) is disguised, and her body shape is unfamiliar to most people, so it's difficult for anyone to recognize her.
Powers: Gina is able to transform into a superpowered version of herself. Gina does not control this transformation; it triggers when she's in a state of panic or emotional distress. In theory, calming down could undo this transformation, but since she finds her superpowered state terrifying in itself, she basically has no choice but to wait it out. Transformation takes a few seconds and destroys the clothes, shoes, etc. that she is wearing, leaving her naked.
Gina wants to avoid being noticed, especially under pressure. Naturally, her superpowered form is as noticeable as possible. Her skin turns onyx black and her hair and eyes turn shining white (fine "peach fuzz" hair or stubble is generally not noticeable, but significant amounts of hair show up brightly on her black skin), the air around her crackles with strange energies, and she floats at least ten feet off the ground. These aspects make it almost impossible for Gina to hide herself.
Gina's powers seem based on a strange, black, destructive energy. At first glance, this energy seems like conceptual death or destruction itself, but Gina's more scientific mind thinks it may be some sort of induced accelerated entropy. She thinks this based on its destructive effects and the fact that she doesn't have to "shoot" it; she can just look at a location and exert her energy onto that target, suggesting that she's accelerating an effect that's already there.
Gina has little experience or control over her powers and is constantly bleeding off energy. The air around her crackles with this energy, and she'll discharge it involuntarily into anything physically touching her. Because she doesn't know how to control her expenditure, her powers get weaker every time she uses them. This includes her Protection power, which loses a rank every round. Since she cannot turn it off, this means her protection is always fading once activated, and since her Morph power is linked to her Protection power, she changes back into her civilian form when her Protection rank reaches zero.
Character sheet: Civilian form and
superpowered form
Kinks: Exhibitionism and humiliation, please please please! Bondage and torture are just fine as well, obviously.
I'm also down for sexual assault,
BUT not just sex for its own sake, but something with a focus on humiliation. So, just getting fucked isn't okay, but getting spanked with an audience or having a sex toy stuck in my character and left there would be great. For the time being, I'm going to say no penetration with a penis (oral is okay), but that's likely to change in the future.
