High above the deserts of her namesake or the hulks its predecessor ships that lay on the bottom of the sea, the USS Arizona circled the blue orb of earth with freshly painted nacelles beaming with vigor and eager faces excited to see this vessel of war and peace get under way for the first time. Much of the pomp and circumstance of her commissioning had been completed in the days prior to this, the smashing of bottled aged wine and speeches by notable persons all in the past. Today instead was more practical, the first day in which the USS Arizona, NCC-56189 was set to depart earth space dock on her first mission.

Her crew would be some of the finest in starfleet, well deserving of the Sovereign class vessel that they would helm to deep space. Scientists, weapons specialists, engineers, and those destined for command were already aboard and preparing to launch their ship on its true maiden voyage. The gangways which jutted from the interior of earth space dock were still filled with both civilians and crew-members who would reside on this vessel. Much like starfleet tradition for those vessels destined for long range missions, many families would also be joining in the adventure.

But on one such gangway, a very different ambiance was being held. Crew-members of all shapes, sizes, specialities, and sex lined the corridor leading to the Arizona, standing at attention as two persons walked in close conversation between them.

"Alex, I remember my first command." An older man, greyed with buzzed hair and mustache remarked as he looked down the long line of ensigns guarding their way on to the ship.
"You never truly feel this way again, savor it." The man in black uniform with grey shoulders, red collar and admiral pips solemnly smirked.
"The next best thing is sex." The senior officer leaned in to his subordinates ear and whispered with a smile and wink.

"Treat her well and she will treat you well." The pair stopped just before the airlock to the Arizona, the ships name and designation stenciled on the archway.
"Your senior staff are awaiting you on the bridge. Good luck on your first mission." The Admiral extended a hand to shake.

The bridge staff had snapped too swiftly, almost as if they were prepared for the arrival of their commander, undoubtly out of eagerness to impress and please the new skipper of the Arizona. The ensign which had announced the commanders presence resumed her duties at one of the science stations towards the aft of the bridge, her blue uniform conforming to her many curves as she relished in the smile she received from the captain. She would ge her lieutenant pips in no time at this rate.

The room had come to an all stop, much of the bridge crew on their feet at their designated stations.

"Welcome aboard Sir, the Arizona is yours." A woman, standing with hands neatly behind her back in red collared uniform clearly announced. Her neck was adorned with commander pips and would easily be recognizable as the assigned first officer of the Arizona, Commander Bailey Vermont.

"All systems are fully functional and we are prepared to leave space dock at your command." Her calm and smooth tone was level, indicative of a leader. She strode up towards the captains position and extended her hand.

"Its an honor to be serving with you sir."

This skipper certainly did not waste time, Bailey shook her head as the captain clasped her hand and no sooner rushed to the chair. He must have been one of those eager officers, climbing to the top with every ounce of energy to reach that chair. Bailey on the other hand was more pragmatic and methodical, a difference that may either work well with her new commander or badly, she had not yet decided.

The ship itself which already was lively became more so as the captain gave the orders to leave Earth Space dock. Personnel moved with a sense of purpose, both to and from the ship, to and from their stations as they prepared to set off into the unknown. For the most part, the starfleet crew of the Arizona manned their posts, all shifts sharing in this moment as commands were given to prepare for launch. The civilians, mostly either scientists or family of the crew, congregated in the ships large lounge, preparing in excitement for their long journey, with food and drinks, absent the responsibilities of their uniformed brethren.

Commander Bailey joinned her captain, sitting to his right with her back straight, leaning forward some in an active stance. This stance however inevitably was uncomfortable given her weighty breasts, but she prepared for this moment for so long it was no bother to the fit starfleet officer.

"Earth Space Dock, this is Arizona, please retract all moorings and prepare for our departure." Bailey followed through on her captain's orders with experience. This was not her first, first officer stint, having been the second in command for a short time of a smaller Miranda Class vessel before this.

"Arizona, await signal for departure, maneuvering thrusters only." The intercom with the station ordered.

"Sir, all thrusters ready." The helms-woman, a young lieutenant junior grade named Luna Bellshade dressed with red collared turned in her seat. There was a bit of anticipation in her voice, but Bailey nodded to her with reassurance as they waited command to depart.

Ensign Luna nervously forced a smirk before swiftly turning around in her chair to mind the helm. It was evident she was a bit more than nervous as she began to pluck away at buttons, keeping the captain in the corner of her eyes as her dark wisps of her hair draped over her profile.

In contrast, Commander Bailey had a slightly amused smirk at her captain's remark of not judging. What exactly did he expect to hear from her as they sat in the middle of the bridge. While there were certainly things in her past that didn't make for polite conversation, it certainly didn't mean she would use that in a first go.

"Well Sir, I was born and raised on a deep space outpost, one insignificant enough to the federation it didn't have an official designation that is for sure." Bailey smiled as she leaned back in her chair. These docking procedures some times took awhile, so she was confident there was plenty of time for small talk.
"As for food... well I am not a picky person, so I'll leave that up to you sir, but it sounds like a wonderful idea to get to know the crew." Bailey nodded, but not before adjusting the tight uniform under her bust as it constricted her.

"Perhaps sir while we wait introductions are in order?" The commander turned in her chair to look at the rest of the bridge crew.
"You already of course met lieutenant Bellshade, our very capable helms-woman." She nodded to Luna who did not turn around, instead tending to her duties at the helm.
"To her left is ensign Walker, he is manning the science station." The male human nodded.

"Behind us is our tactical officer Lieutenant Command Cuzan." The Evoran male hardly could see over the tactical console as he nodded sternly to the captain.

"Next to him is our third in command, and Operations Officer Lieutenant Commander Ximena Yautman." The command pointed her hand towards a short and younger looking officer, though she was clearly a Yaut, a humanoid species with horned heads and youthful looks. The officer nodded to the captain with a blank expression, eyes absent much emotion, but not because Yauts were absent them.

"A pleasure sir." She added as enthusiastically as she could manage. Most Yauts were in fact very vibrant, perhaps this one being a bit different.

"Our chief science, medical, and engineer are at their posts currently, so I will be sure to introduce you to them once we are underway." Bailey smiled at her captain, a rather handsome woman with an alarming charm.

Bailey sat dumbfounded, her face turning a deep deep red as her captain blatantly asked about her getting a new uniform. Her clearly noticed the struggle of a big breasted woman, but Bailey was not particularly appreciative, her embarrassment turning to sort of resentment as some of the junior officers noticed the red faced second in command before she shot them glances. Bailey however did not answer, instead grabbing her sides sensitively to insecurely conceal herself.

Of course the chief tactical officer was bewildered, Bailey even feeling equally as embarrassed for him as she did herself.

"Uh, thank you sir.. I will... take it under consideration." The commander Cuzan nodded, his species did not blush but he sure would have if they did.

Commander Yautman raised an eyebrow at their behavior, her flat chest nor moderately short height not attracting the attention her colleagues were getting. Of course she was just tall enough and flat enough it didn't matter, she instead attended to her duties trying to not get second hand embarrassment.

"Sir, space dock has retracted moorings and is prepared for departure."
Lieutenan Luna turned her head slightly to announce.

Outside "Arizona Departing" was being blared on the loud speakers, as dock control stations and coordinators came alive.

"Lieutenant, take us out, maneuvering thrusters only." Commander Riley nodded, trying to forget the captain's comments.

"Sir yes we are assigned a counselor, we will be picking her up at Starbase 83 in a week, after our first assignment." Her tone was more brisk now.
"Are you in need of a counselor?" She blurted out, a few of the bridge crew freezing in their tracks.

The abrupt departure of the captain certainly caused a stir as the bridge crew as they each exchanged looks. Certainly for not having left space dock yet they were not off to a swimming start as a team. Bailey of course having the conn had to shrug this off and ensure that they got out of space dock before resolving the situation.

"Helm, get us our of space dock." She stood up, adjusting her uniform once more as she looked around and ensured the bridge team got back to their duties vice concentrating on whatever just happened. As her large breasts shifted she wondered if the captain was somewhat right in his statement about her uniform.

The Arizona sleekly glided past the large double doors of Earth Space Dock, its beige-white hull shimmering in the light of Sol as it prepared to depart the system.

"Our first mission is a simple medical supply run to A colony in the Uteenex System. She nodded to the rest of the bridge crew as they processed the simple assignment.
"Doctor Janice says the stabilization of the supplies is a finite thing, so lets get underway." She nodded to Luna who pressed a few buttons and the chimes came alive.

"Space dock has cleared us for Warp ma'am." The operations officer Ximena announced.

"Good, helm lay in a course for Uteenex, warp five." She pointed her fingers to give the go, The helms-woman following through as the ship lurched into warp.
"Ximena, you have the bridge. I will be back soon."

Bailey nodded to her operations officer who had a bit of a quizzical look about her face. Bailey reassured her with a twitch of her eye, the Yaut officer shrugging her shoulders and shaking her head before taking the middle command chair.

"Deck 8." The first officer ordered the turbolift, the lights and hum of the compartment resounding before opening once more on the deck which not only the captain's quarters resided but hers as well as most of the senior staff.

Coming to the door she hit the chime, waiting to see if she could speak to the captain about what happened.

Taking a deep breath Bailey pressed forward, hoping to resolve this pending interpersonal disaster before it got any worse. Personality clashes were always a part of getting used to a new team, but she never had seen someone clash that fast. Pressing forward she hoped that it could be resolved just as fast, the doors to the captain's quarters sliding open and revealing the spacious living arrangements. It was about the same as her quarters which were down the hall, but had a much nicer view off the bow of the ship.

"Apologies for my intrusion sir....." Commander Bailey stopped in her tracks as she found the captain wrapped only in a towel before her. It was a rather compromising position, but Bailey was both a constant professional and an adult and was able to look past this, her eyes hyper fixed on the captain's eyes while avoiding his body.

"Sir... I hope you were satisfied with everything on the bridge?" Bailey inquired confidently, avoiding the urge to adjust her uniform again.

For a moment, Bailey let herself believe that the captain was coming on to her, but after that fleeting second, she actively decided to not allow herself to god down that route. Whether or not the captain was going down that route however remained to be seen, and Baileu certainly wanted to try and steer it away from that.

"Thank you for the compliment sir." She acknowledged his calling her confident, but maybe even that he considered her beautiful. He certainly was confident as well given he still was in his towel as he approached.

"I hope to never leave you hanging sir. I have served as a first officer before and hope to perform admirably." Her hands were crossed behind her back and eyes fixed on his.
"Will you be returning to the bridge sir? I have ordered the helm to lay in a course for the first assignment."

Bailey jumped back, face reddened with blush as the captain clearly was trying some command techniques that were a bit foreign to her. He was human right? Not some human-looking species with weird cultural customs?

"Certainly not scared of a good challenge sir!" Bailey still deflected the mean of it all as she stepped back towards the door of the captains quarters. Her heart was racing and hairs on the nape of her neck were raising as she tried to keep her composure.

"While commander Ximena is a very capable third officer, given that its our first underway I do think one of us should be there." Bailey stood frozen a few paces from the captain.

Through the various layers this conversation had gone, Bailey had finally arrived at sense enough there was truly no other intention aside from the most base. Uncomfortably she stood there, processing it, processing his body, her body, her duty, his authority. What she did in the next few moments could mean her career, or make her career. Truly it was dizzying, so in such a situation socially the commander was not the best decision maker.

"Is that an order... sir?" She simply asked. Whether it was questioning if his order was to "Read the room, relax, stop pretending, or change her uniform" she left it up to speculation, but perhaps she did not even know. Either way, she stood there for a long moment waiting to be told what exactly it is the new captain wanted of her.

Bailey nodded, watching the captain disappear back to his bathroom. This was certainly going to be an interesting assignment on the Arizona, especially with this skipped.
"If that is the case sir... I best report to the bridge." Bailey nodded, turning about an hovering near his door, waiting to ensure she was dismissed. Maybe after all she should see that quartermaster...

It was a quick buffer as the computer followed through on the captain's request, being that there were few female ensigns of the science department currently on duty. Only one result appeared on the search request that would match what the captain was looking for, being the officer in question was the one that was on duty on the bridge.

Ensign Sasha Flemming's file was front and center for the captain to review. Ensign, fresh out of the academy with little more time on the shop than the captain himself. This was her first assignment as part of starfleet, a biologist specialty and eager to involve herself in scientific activities on far off worlds. Her file was clean from the academy, hardly stepping out of line, and rather noted to be an over achiever when it came to her studies with little social life. The image of her in dress uniform showed her bright smiling face with straight brown hair styled into two tails.

The computer further detailed her location was the bridge.
