Parker had spent days, weeks, not quite months - without her filthy habit, even longer before that. Her last use sent a house of cards crumbling to the ground she'd spent so much time stacking, life had been something close to manageable, something close to acceptable. . . once again though, she was in a world of shit and the only thing that was going to make it better was a little bunny rabbit, white specifically.
'I'm here.' A text message sent out into the ether to signal she'd arrived at the predetermined location,
Parker awaited her 'new friend.' Linus her old connection had fallen off the face of the planet, clipped or booked she wasn't sure but she knew where to find a number if she needed one and this was what she got, honestly Parker had no idea what to expect, all walks ended up in this business on both sides. Bemoaning the idea of being back on this one she hung her head and propped her elbows up on her knees, dark, navy denim hip huggers.
Chilly as it was she regretted only wearing a red sweater, sans hood, long ginger hair hanging over her shoulders. She'd been lucky to wear a cap but that was more for anonymity, still it kept the wind out of her face, she thought. Funny enough it wasn't the first time she'd met for dope in this park, no, it was a bit of a known spot once upon a time. . . that said, it was nicer now, Elmira Oak Place was a small park surrounded by city scape, once overgrown and covered in the rusted skeletons of modern decay, rusted slides and swing sets. Today it looked well maintained by the city, new park, new benches, no garbage floating around. . . Parker hadn't changed either really. She was still the same old junkie.
-even if she'd been
mostly clean a few years, all it took was one more slip.
