Thread bump

Is there a way to pump your request thread without loosing the ability to edit your first post?

What do you mean you "lose the ability to edit the first post"? That shouldn't be happening.

You can always edit your original post in a thread. Another post in doesn't remove that ability.

This may or may not be the same question, but does editing your thread bump it too? I wouldn't want to get in trouble for bumping twice if I edit my thread right after bumping it.

Editing an opening post, or any post for that matter, doesn't bump the thread, no.
