Question necro-ing old threads? (or avoiding necro)

hi! i just came back from an impromptu hiatus that ended up being a lot longer than i had planned. i have a few roleplay threads that i wanted to pick up again but i saw somewhere in the rules that threads are considered dead after a month. i don’t want to end up breaking any rules but is there a certain way i should go about bringing them back or should an entirely new thread be created?
