Let's start with the boring bits. My name's Aleema, I prefer being called Yaha. I'm 23, born in Syria, living in London now. I like warm socks, hate rain (ironic, given where I live) and like you (I guess? you're probably cool). I studied graphical design in high school, got an English-lit. degree and now I hate my job. At least it pays well.
So, is the boring part over now? Great.

Literary realism is an amazing tool for creating a believable story – but it's UNBEARABLY boring (seriously; who told Balzac that three pages of scene descriptions are good for a book?). Magical realism (which is a term urban fantasy writers invented to feel better about themselves) fixed the pacing issue, by giving the read three pages of 'fantastical' scene descriptions. It's also pretty fucking cool. I apologize, I tend to ramble often.
To summarize: I like realistic stories with realistic characters. But, if you want to add fucking flying whales, terrible angels, or the literal Devil – I'm going to love you.
I'm down to write multiple characters, but I always require two 'main' characters – it just makes the story simpler to keep organized.
I like visuals. You don't have to make them, but you have to like them ! ~.~
Xℂharacters
I, like every other author, tend to write the same three characters all over again. While this kind of consistency is commendable, I love to step out of my comfort zone.
I also tend to write characters that somehow mirror some of my struggles, or desires. My most common themes include, but are not limited to:
– a 'weird' person/person in a hostile environment
– 'the chosen one'/'the forsaken one'; I put these into a single category, because they are basically different sides of the same coin. Ask me if you want a more substantial explanation!
– helpless princess that need saving
– arrogant bitches that need to be put into their places
And many, many more.
I also like to play as Arabs/Middle-Eastern people. You can guess why.
