size=85]Officer Daniels sat at his desk, a manila folder sitting in front of him. Inside was incriminating evidence related to a recent investigation he'd done privately. Inside were photos and even a video of the whole thing going down. His full lips curled in a smirk as he tucked the folder into his messenger bag and put on his coat. One of the other officers looked up from his desk and nodded his way. "Heading out for the night Daniels?" he asked.
"Yeah, going to head home, have some dinner and turn in for the night. Maybe go by the video store and rent somethin'." said Daniels in his deep, smooth baritone. Sliding into his coat before tucking the bag under his arm and waving back as he headed out of the precinct. "Take care of yourself Winters." he said over his shoulders as he headed out to his car.
He had a good reputation with the force, having gone up in ranks from a simple beat cop to a well-respected detective having solved several cases and been integral in several other well-known and high profile affairs. Though offered many promotions, he enjoyed his work as a detective so much he simply stayed where he was. Citing that he'd never quite enjoy a simple desk job as it'd be far too boring.
The biggest recent case he'd been working on was one involving a new drug known as Z-fen that was at first dubbed as the new Ecstasy, but someone had gotten their hands on it and turned it into something far more dangerous. First popular with ravers, now a modified version of the drug has been found in the hands of date rapists and sex addicts. It reduces inhibitions and causes blackouts. Worse yet, it's addictive and many of it's victims have never been the same after becoming addicted.
Quite a few sting operations and busts have been made, but it seems that no matter how many times they busted a place selling it more seemed to pop up. That was, until Daniels himself found out something while doing his own investigation. He found that his step sister was involved. He'd called her and told her to meet him at his place. He told her that if she didn't she'd want to hear and see what he had to show her.
