The village life was terribly dull for Raven. What made it worse was her parents constantly trying to pawn her off to rich nobles, just to make a deal. She didn't show that she minded it, just kept manning the store front. It was a harbor village, and she bided her time hearing the stories of the sailors that came by.

She heard stories all the time of traders from the far north; rugged and monsterous and a terrible people. She hadn't met any of the like, however.

All she had heard about them was awful, horrible tales of destruction and assault, kidnapping women, burning villages. It sent a shudder down her spine.

What if they came to the store? What would she do? Would they steal her family's wares and kidnap her?

The bell to her door rang as the door opened, signalling a customer. When she looked to greet them, she was met with a tall red haired man; his tunic hugged his built frame, a furred cloak draped over his broad shoulders. He had a rather well maintained beard with beautiful beads woven into it, his hair long with the sides shaved. His eyes were a deep brown as he looked down at her, literally.

She looked up and fought a blush. What a handsome man. "Hello, sir..! How can I help you?" She asked.

Her heart stopped. Was..he? No. No, he couldn't be. "Oh, very well..! What do you have?"

She nodded. "What will you need in return?" She asked, jotting down his supplies on a parchment.

She nodded. "We have spice and cloth.. anything else? You aren't asking for much, if you don't mind me saying.." she said.

She nodded and moved toward the door. She was smaller than him, but she was definitely shapely.

He followed her, giving her form a brief glance before taking her to the wagon holding his things. There were metals she hadn't seen before, as well as gorgeous furs and prime cuts of meat wrapped in cheese cloth to protect them from birds.

She looked over everything, looking carefully at each piece he had. He had to admit it, she was thorough. She moved and looked at the pelts, making a noise. "Well, with all you have here, I can easily give you at least a few crates of spices, and a good bit of cloth.. say.. five, six rolls?"

"People don' trust us. Think we'll jus' steal. I haven't stolen anything except my da's blade when I was a lad." He replied.

She made a noise and nodded. "I'm sorry to hear that.. but, I'd be a fool to not trade for these." She said with a smile

He gave a small smile in return, "Take what looks good and I'll help ye with th' crates." How kind to offer to help her lift the heavier things.
