Cliches are bad, seriously, don't use them. They're lazy, outdated, and your writing could be so much more flush with description and detail if you just break it down and say what the cliche is a shortcut for instead.

However, let's have a bit of fun. Post cliches! Except reword them making them not cliches anymore. You can either just replace a word or you can change the whole thing around.

I'll get us started:

They were selling like prescription opioids.

Now you post a cliche and mix it up, reword it, or change it in some way!
