What is going on with Facebook today??? How long has it been down for everyone? Saw that Instagram is down too.

It appears to have started 11:45 a.m. ET. Every Facebook-owned app appears to be down in a widespread outage

I can tell you this. Whoever took them down did a damn good job. Usually if something like this would happen they would be back up within less than an hour.

Can confirm I haven't been able to send any messages on WhatsApp for the past 5 hours, which sucks as it's the biggest and most reliable messaging app over here.

I actually had to use my landline to confirm I can nanny tomorrow - wild. I also went to my mother's funeral today, and all that family I saw today are only available via WhatsApp or Facebook, 'cept my little sister. At least it didn't happen before.

I don't mind when I can't access certain sites, it's when the entire internet is unreachable that can be a problem.

I gave up FB over a year ago. There's only so many pictures of food and pets i can handle.
