But that urge to hit a like button is wasted in the public forums where there's no like button to hit!

This is less of a complaint and more of a suggestion/hope, but I'd love the ability to lavish affections upon my soon-to-be forum friends or in the chat!

Hmm, the chat is more ephemeral, so I could enable that, depending on what people feel.

It was rather poorly received for the forum proper, so for now it's limited to PMs.

That makes sense! The way chat goes by would certainly stop any piling on in any direction the way I know it sometimes goes in forums. I'm happy here either way, and thank you so much for responding! <3
