What's the culture behind following people, I've noticed it on peoples profiles but I can't say why you'd do it. I don't want to follow someone and then I'm actually being rude by accident.

And I want to know how to get people to follow me! I want all the followers, I want to be the most popular person on this website. Mwuahahaha

People follow others for a variety of reasons. Some follow to be able to see when their partners are online, some follow people who's writing they enjoy or they might want to write with in the future. I also think some people follow friends ^^ Some people also follow those who follow them back? But for example, I don't. So it differs person to person, I think.

I don't know if you can be rude following someone? As long as you are respectful, there should be no issue!

As to how to get them yourself, I honestly have no idea. I don't know why most people who have me follow me, have followed me. ^^;;;;
