Question On the Distinction Netween New Threads as Posts and Replies as Posts

After looking through the information on initial probationary period a little more, I wanted to ask about what actions counted as a post. Specifically, I was hoping to better understand whether it was specifically posting a thread, such as with this question thread or a user's initial introduction thread, that counted or if replies to another thread which already existed, such as answering someone else's question thread with a reply or welcoming another user to the site, were also considered in the mix.

Though it's no issue, I hoped for some clarification before lurking for a little while.

If you man for the 3 posts required to be a full member, they do indeed count ^^ As of this moment you only need wait the 24 hours!!
