black slash and DP across my avatar

Why is there a black slash and the letters DP across my avatar in my bump post on my edited request thread?

As in Original Poster.
it lets people know that you started the thread.

I think that says "OP" (as in you're the original poster) in that thread.

Just something the site does to let you know which posts are by you and which aren't. Tad redundant, but totally harmless.
