I prefer my partners to describe their characters from the very first page. If you aren't someone who'd consider what your Queen might look like, act like, move like, talk like, how she teases, tempts, seduces, naively glances, bites her lip, pulls at her skirt, how her clothes cling to her body and her feet cross in her heels and her slightly-muffled voice arches against the inside of her pillowcase; we aren't a match. One of my biggest cravings so far is taking a lighter, innocent, spoiled, noble character and putting her in a new environment she had high hopes for, only to dash them with the kinds of characters she meets. I write based in realism, so her being stunned/shocked that men would ever make such advances on her after the safe environment she's grown up in is the goal. Scenes such as her being forcibly stripped in court would be huge moments for the plot, possible dub-con/rape scenes, a little foot-play against her will, the slow moral degradation of her mind and body until she's forced to wear degrading things underneath (or instead of) her robes. In time, she would come across a man capable of teaching her how to defend herself, and would use the skills he teaches her to get revenge on the men who've crossed her...
