Taven held his position near the plaza at the Deling presidential palace. An undercover agent of SeeD, he had been recruited into the assassination plan too late to truly do any good with Irvine's shot. Naturally stealthy, he was the supposed last resort if the team failed their mission to deal with the sorceress.
And they failed in a big way. Squall and the others appeared to have been taken away, after a sound defeat at the hands of the Sorceress. The youth licked his dry lips. He would have to finish the job himself, it seemed. He checked the two long daggers at the back of his belt - his signature weapons.
The 16-year old was an able bodied stealth specialist...no one tended to care much about the stirrings of a shy, black-haired youth, and his smallish stature made it easy to hide and creep around obstacles. Well, he would have a fine time of it now, with the Galbadia forces on full alert. His icey blue eyes looked for a way back into the palace.

Edea got on the scent of Traven, and she used her charmed his mind so he would work for her. She will not be disobeyed, and she wanted him to be her knight so that he would not kill her at all, and she wanted to make sure that nobody goes against her at all. Edea isn't evil at all by no means.
She never wanted to be a sorceress, but nonetheless she is. She wonders how much she go on, with those powers with hers, and she knows that she needs a break she is after all Matron the orphanage mother to Squall, and his friends, but she never wanted to be a sorceress but she became one at age 12.

Taven crept back into the spacious bedroom of the presidential palace. Though the Galbadia soldiers were still on high alert, he managed to sneak through without much incident, though one or two patrols would not be checking in. He sighed softly, wiping his daggers on the blue coats of the enemy....at least he had replenished his stock of Fire magics from the encounter.
He lowered the hood of his thick overshirt as he slipped into the room. This was where Rinoa was supposed to nullify Edea's powers....from the sight of the sniper shot's deflection that had obviously failed, but perhaps a new surprise might succeed.
He paused in the act of his sneaking, the brow of his highly youthful face knitting down a little. Something seemed to...whisper...in the back of his mind. She was there, out on the balcony, he knew....but something nagged at the back of his mind. He stood frozen in the main room, mulling over the distractions in his thoughts.

Taven crept up behind her, his hand white-knuckle tight on the hilt of his dagger. Why? Why couldn't he strike? She hadn't noticed him, yet.....had she? He felt such an urge....an overwhelming urge to put his knives down...that he should be protecting this woman, this sorceress, instead of fighting her.
Her peaceful melody drifted over his ears, soothing his strangely rioted emotions. "Ah!" He yelped, backing up several steps and shaking his head violently to clear out the cobwebs. His big eyes were wide and wondering as he looked up at her...what was she doing?

He looked up at her, his eyes sweeping over the plunging 'v' shape cut away from the front of her dress...they lingered a bit on the curve of her breast, before sweeping over the azure gloss of her lips and up to her eyes.
