It was a long cool night outside of the city as [Y/N] made their way through the woods. The hidden path that cuts through the trees and bushes thankfully prevented them from having to trudge through the vegetation. While the moon shined down through the canopy, giving the path a soft white glow.
A few months ago, they were walking through the dark wood forest to clear their mind after a particularly long day when they stubbled upon the very path they were walking. Hidden by just a few clusters of trees and illuminated by the slivery glow of the moon as a faint song could heard through the gentle breeze. It's melody almost hypnotic, as if it were calling out to them as they wandered through the old path before coming across an incredibly large lake. While a figure sat at it's edge, peacefully singing to nobody but the night itself.
A real life siren.. cut off from the rest of the world all alone with nothing but the lake and the fishes that lived in it for lord knows how long. And so on that day, a promise and a friendship was born. Leading to tonight of [Y/N] walking through that same dirt path that had become ingrained into their memory. Lead by that same oh so sweet melody that still felt like a treat to their ears as they finally made it to the end of the trail. Greeted by the familiar calm water of the lake that was the home of their new mythical companion.
