"Mi niño!" Alejandro heard shouted up to him. He was still in bed as his mother was calling him. "It's time to wake up!" Glancing over at the clock, he noticed it was almost noon. Noon... he thought... something happens at noon today. His eyes shot open as he remembered that today was the day the exchange student was supposed to arrive.

Leaping out of bed, he glanced around his mess of a room for something not too bad looking. He was 17, though not tall by any means, clocking in at 5'6", though what he lacked in height he made up for with build. He was a part of the High School Football team as a defensive lineman, so he needed to be well built. Like almost ever other person he knew of Hispanic descent, he had dark brown, almost black, hair. He was a little paler than most due to his father's side of the family. His father was from a German family, so he had the full blond hair, blue eyes, pale skin thing going on.

Still looking around, he grabbed a pair of jeans and a T-shirt, the latter conforming to his body like a second layer of skin. "I'll be right down, mother!" he replied loudly in Spanish. He didn't know anything about the student, but he didn't want to make a bad first impressions since they would be staying here for the next year. He grabbed a comb and quickly ran it through his hair to get out any of the stray hairs, then started clomping his way downstairs.

So many good byes had been said to her as she boarded the plane- At home, everyone had enjoyed having her as a friend. Now she was shy and nervous as she stepped off the large plane and walked to the man holding the sign above his head with the name Anastasia was written in bold black letters. “I’m Anastasia." She stated softly, looking up at the man in front of her who soon led her to a bright yellow cab.

The cab had taken her directly to the right address, a very comfortable looking home that she immediately felt welcomed at, despite her shyness. She turned to the cabby but he ushered her out of the car, surprising her that he did not wish to be paid. He had been pre-paid it seemed.

She thanked him in English, her accent thick and her voice soft. She smiled once more as she picked up the suitcase and duffle bag and approached the front door. She was about twenty minutes early and she was nervous about the new family. She had spoken on the phone to the mother but that was all. Slowly she raised her hand up and knocked on the door, clearing her throat shyly.

Her head tilted down shyly as she waited for the door to be answered. Black hair fell to the middle of her back, curly today although it was naturally straight. A white blouse covered a black tank top which held a slender, curvy form nicely. Dark blue green clung to her behind and thighs before flaring out slightly at the knees. Walnut brown eyes closed shyly when the door opened, revealing no makeup at all. Her nerves were shot and she could be seen playing with a loose thread on her blouse, trying to relax. It wasn't working too well.

[Sorry its not as good as it could have been. ^.^;;]

He heard the cab outside, hopping down the last few steps. His mother called out to him from in the kitchen, "Can you get the door. It sounds like they are here." She was probably preparing a good dinner for their new guest. Walking down the hallway to the door, he opened it.

Light flooded in, causing him to squint as it assaulted his eyes. In a moment his eyes had adjusted and he saw her. To be honest, he'd been expecting a nerd or some ugly little girl who spent all her free time studying because she couldn't get a date. The total cutie who stood before him was the last thing he had expected. His eyes went wide and he felt his cheeks reddenfor a moment , but he quickly recovered his composure.

He smiled at her, stepped out, and took some of her bags. "Hello, I'm Alejandro Castillo Weiss." he said, introducing himself. His accent changed for his father's name to a harsher germanic tone.

Anastasia looked into the dimly lit house as the door swung inwards and she was slightly taken aback by the male standing in the doorway. She had completely forgotten they had a son. She hadn't ever met anyone from the family or even seen pictures, so the male who stood in front of her made her jerk in surprise, almost thinking that she was at the wrong place in the beginning.

"H-hello." She stated shyly, looking down, her cheeks tinted pink though it would be hard to see due to the sunlight flooding in the room. "I am Anastasia Nieve Apolinar. It is nice to meet you." She stated shyly, smiling at him nervously, shifting in the cool air, biting her lip gently. "I'm supposed to be staying until the end of the year." She murmured softly, tilting her head down shyly again, shifting nervously once more.

She really was shocked, unsure of what she should say to him. He was very attractive and she felt very insignificant next to him. She wondered what he thought of her.

"Well it's very nice to meet you, Anastasia." Alejandro said, as he carried her bags in easily. "Come in. This is your place too now. You'll be living upstairs in the room next to mine." He said this as he he carried her bags up to the second floor and walked down the hallway.

He stopped outside his room. He had closed his door since it was a horrible mess in there right now. "This is my room. You can usually find me in there most of the time. If you need something, don't hesistate to ask." he gave her a quick smile before he led her on to the next room down.

"And this will be your room." It was a white room with a few cabinets for clothes, a desk, a large double bed, and a bedside table. There was also a closet off to the side. He tossed her bags onto the bed and turned around and sat down, looking at her. She was very easy on the eyes, even if she was obviously painfully shy.

She shyly followed him. She was painfully shy- she had friends at home, but had never been good at going to a new place to make friends with people she didn't know. Or at least hardly knew. Instead, she followed him quietly, listening to him as he pointed out his room then her own. She looked around the room which was larger then her own room though not as nicely decorated. Oh well, she was staying for about eight months- they probably wouldn't mind if she decorated a little.

She looked at him and smiled as he looked right back at her and she flushed suddenly, her cheeks going bright red in embarassment. "Alejandro, when do we start at school? What are the classes like?" She asked, beginning to rain down question after question on him. She may have been shy, but she was also curious.

She stopped in the middle of her questions and smiled at him, not as shy as before. She once again began looking around the new room and smiling at him. "May I meet your mother? Could you show be around after dinner?" She asked softly, obviously excited for the new country. "Honestly, this is the first time I have ever left home." She flushed lightly. "That was my first plane flight too." She smiled again.

Alejandro chuckled quietly. She looked even cuter when she smiled, then the questions began. "Well, class will begin tomorrow morning at 8 AM. We live close to school, so normally I ride my bicycle, but since we haven't gotten you one, we'll walk. Sometime this week we can talk to my mother about getting you a bike to go with mine."

"As for what the classes are like..." he looked away into the air, thinking, "It's... class." He let out a short bark of a laugh. "I dunno... I've only ever been to American schools, so they are what they are. We have seven classe a day, each one about an hour long. We will share all our classes, to ensure that there is someone there who can speak spanish, if you're not sure what something means." He gave her a wink and pointed at himself with his thumbs.

"Sure you can meet my mother. She's downstairs finishing up dinner." He spun on his heel and began walking away toward the stairway down. Waving to her so she followed, he continued talking over his shoulder. "I don't really know what it's like to have a first flight or first time leaving home. My father's a well-off businessman in Germany, so we go travelling pretty frequently. We've been doing so for as long as I can remember." He blushed and laughed at himself. "Jeez... don't I sound conceited."
