There was a certain degree of beauty to living in New Smash City. It was an odd name, most agreed on that, but Pauline, the mayor, had told them that she'd been brought here to run the place and since she'd lived in New Donk City before this it was just an easy name to go with. Everyone had agreed since no one really had the room to argue. Well, some had but no one was going to let Bowser or Ganondorf run the show. Sephiroth had made a decent attempt to manipulate people but Cloud had put that to bed and most of the city had agreed on terms. They were all kind of stuck there now and had been for a while so they were going to make the best of it. The goal of everyone moving in was to move in with people from different worlds originally with the idea that since they were all stuck together now that they should probably not just hang out with people from their home all the time.

So this was one of the new buildings designed to hold six of the Smash Participants. This building, called the Garden simply because the rooftop had a beautifully maintained garden for the tenants to enjoy, was going to be home to three men and three women who were all moving in that day.

Ren Amamiya, known to most of his fellow participants as Joker, was carrying a backpack and a decent sized suitcase as he looked up at the building. It was a sizable one with each floor housing two apartments with a number of rooms like a small single story house more or less. He was living on the third floor with a princess across the hall. Although that wasn't saying much since there were actually three princesses that were going to be living in the Garden. Zelda was the name of the one who would be living across the hall from him though on the third floor. Joker didn't have much in the way of possessions since he had been summoned from his place above Leblanc's. He'd always been one to travel light and decorate based on what he found and what he was gifted so he wouldn't need to do too much. All the same he headed upstairs wondering if Zelda was moving in already.

He passed Cloud Strife who was parking his motorcycle in the little driveway that they had. They exchanged a nod before the casually clothed Joker stepped inside while Cloud was dressed, as almost always, his black combat attire. It was just like a second skin to him. He rarely was far from it. He'd already brought most of his stuff early because he didn't want to impede. He also figured that if any of the girls needed help he should probably be available to help since he was one of the strongest people around. And because it was just the right thing to do. Getting off the bike he looked around to see if any of the other ladies had yet arrived or needed any help.

Robin didn't even register Joker passing by the open door to his room. Robin had been gifted a room on the first floor, probably on account of the other two men living rather light and him having an unnaturally high amount of books to carry, and his roommate across the hall was Rosalina. He hadn't seen her yet but since he was just putting books on shelves and otherwise adjusting his rooms around he'd left his front door open so that he could say hello or anyone else could walk in and say hello if they wanted to. He'd always been pretty cordial and approachable after all. It was strange for him to be dressed in modern clothes but Chrom had insisted that they 'get with the times' and they'd gone shopping. Now Robin was dressed in a simple button-up shirt and nice slacks. Not quite entirely casual but still a bit better than the bulkier robes and such he'd worn before. He was just placing some of his magical tomes on a bookshelf in the living room while people passed by likely taking things to their rooms.

All of the rooms came furnished according to the requests of the people who would be living there. Like with many things connected to the Smash Phenomenon that had summoned and kept them here the world sort of bent around them. Whatever they needed they tended to be able to find somewhere if they went on an adventure to look for it so getting their rooms designed exactly how they wanted them hadn't been a difficult task so when the six of them entered their room for the first time this day they would find things exactly how they wanted them to be more or less.

New Smash City was quite the destination for two out of the three people moving there most recently. One of them was already quite familiar with the leader, Pauline was a bit odd but no one was willing to complain that she was in charge considering her opposition. Villains running the place would be quite annoying. And it was nice to have a new place to live, even for a bit as things changed in the world of Smash. It was actually quite refreshing to live in a place where things weren’t falling apart or struck by war. Only one of the newest visitors had truly known peace for more than a few moments. It was a privilege that might have annoyed their partners if she wasn’t so humble and understanding about it. They couldn’t be mad at her for more than a few minutes and even after that period of being upset, they felt quite guilty about it.

Rosalina had that effect on people, seeing as she was a wise motherly figure to the other women that had made their way here. It also wasn’t confusing for her how New Smash City was run, considering she had met Pauline before. It helped that they came from roughly the same place, though not the exact same areas. That was something that gave her an edge on her newfound friends. She was the mother of the Lumas, the cute star people that followed her every order. She might not have been comfortable with that at first but she made sure to take care of them. She was dressed in her normal outfit, though she had made sure to pack more casual and modern clothes just in case. The Garden was different from her Observatory, though she was more than willing to live more modestly than she had before, having grown up as a normal person.

Zelda was not as cheerful about her situation. She felt as though she was the wrong Zelda for this job, having learned that there was yet another Zelda out there when she had met Sheik. She was the Zelda from the world with Calamity Ganon, plucked shortly after the Link from her world was also plucked. The young princess had a lot to prove and she had no casual clothes on her, she didn’t even want them at this point. It was beneath her, she was just wearing her standard archaeologist outfit. She had already moved in, hours before the rest of her squad. She hadn’t met the man that she was living across from but she didn’t want to, it would have only annoyed her more. Still, if he was interested, her door was open.

Lucina was much like Cloud, more casual than either of her friends. She wasn’t here to make friends but she wasn’t so dead-set on making enemies like the princess from the other world seemed to be. She carried all she needed to, though she felt out of place as she was wearing her armor instead of casual clothes like some others here. She didn’t know that was an option at this point. She had even passed Cloud as she walked in. She merely gave him a nod, knowing that he was similar to her.

Robin would hear a knock on the wall of the door near him as he would see Rosalina standing out there, in her full princessy outfit with a warm smile as she waved her hand. “Hello! I figured it would be nice to meet the person I’m going to be living with for a while now. My name is Rosalina and I assume you’re Robin?”

Robin looked up when he heard someone knock on the wall. He turned with a smile to greet them only for a number of his books to slide off the shelf and right onto the floor. It seems that for all his combat prowess, of which there was much, sometimes even he had bouts of clumsiness. All the same he smiled as he moved to pick the books up.

"Pleasure to meet you Miss Rosalina. I'm indeed Robin."

He stacked the books on a chair nearby and walked towards Rosalina and held out his hand for her to shake.

"I have to admit it's a little intimidating standing in front of a princess with as much poise as you. You really do have quite the presence."

Robin couldn't help but smile.

"Please, by all means, have a seat if you'd like. I was going to make some tea if you'd like to join me for some."

Joker, meanwhile, was in his room before long and getting it all set up. It only took him a few minutes and then he was back out in the hallway. Seemed like his neighbor had left her door open so he would be remiss if he didn't step inside. He knocked ever so lightly. Just loud enough to say he did it but not loud enough that she would probably hear it everywhere in her home. He stepped inside and started doing what any good Phantom Thief would do: Scoping the place out. This woman was supposed to be a princess and a scholar too he'd heard. She sounded like an interesting woman so of course he wanted to meet her. Once he spotted her in her home he'd call out to her.

"'Scuse me, I'm your neighbor. Saw the door was open and thought I'd say hello and introduce myself."

Cloud gave Lucina a nod in return. Both of them kind of had an understanding of the other just at a glance. Warriors knew warriors and among all he people here both of them were swordmasters. Once he had everything situated down here, and knew there was no one else in need of help, he headed up to his floor. He wanted to just go to his room but seeing Rosalina and Robin talking he felt it was only proper that he introduced himself. He knocked lightly on Lucina's door hoping he wasn't going to be too much of a bother.
