Derrick leaned calmly against the front of his house, checking his phone almost absently while he waited. He'd asked a female mechanic that he knew if she'd stop over and check his car, as it was acting "funny". While he knew that he'd have to wait until after normal business hours; he also thought that it was worth the wait. After all, she was a looker; and he could look all day at her.

While his motives might have been a bit suspect, as his car really had nothing wrong with it. Instead, he wanted to chance to talk to her in relative privacy; maybe over dinner he could convince her to a more intimate relationship. The only way to find out was to ask, and he'd planned on asking very shortly.

The Hybrid girl tossed her bag of clothes into the backstreet of her 1969 blue Camaro, not changing out of her work clothes because she had agreed to go check out a customers car at his home. Normally she or her father didn't take jobs like this but well this was a rich client who paid well and so she had agreed to meet him at his home to check on his car. Her grey fur was stained but she hardly seemed to notice as she turned the car over and pulled out away from the garage.

The ride took her a little but she pulled up in front of the clients home to find him standing outside and she cut the engine before climbing out, pulling out her tool case she had packed as well before walking over toward him, her tail swaying, the long rabbit ears twitching a little with any and all sounds.

Derrick finally looked up from his phone at the rather distinctive sound of the hybrid girl's car. It was a sporty and sleek looking automobile, the kind he'd probably collect if he was into that sort of thing. He gave her a wave as she pulled out, pocketing his phone when she climbed out of the car. He had to admit that the girl looked better, at least to him, than the car.

"Thanks for coming over," he greeted her. "It's acting a bit 'funny', so I thought I'd have you take a look at it before I drove it again." He gave her a small follow-me gesture, then lead the way to the side door of the garage. He opened the door, letting her step inside before following her; quietly closing the door behind them. "Keys are in it." He added, leaning against the wall again.

Sophia pulled herself up and from her car and after gathering her tools approached him and she smiled at him, tipping her head as she approached. Her long rabbit ears turned toward him as he talked and she curled her long, lion-like tail around her hip as she walked, so not to step on it herself, or get it stepped on. Her car was her baby and she spent a lot of time restoring it from the state of rust and mess she had brought it in before. She smiled as she approached Derrick and wiped her hands on the shorts she wore, which were already stained from her work today.

"Sorry about the delay Derrick, I was a little late getting out since my father left early and forget to leave the keys, so had to wait for him to come back and drop them off," she said as she ducked into the garage, the heavy tool bag bumping into her leg. She moved over the the car and set her bag down next to it, pulling out a cloth and draped it over the seat, so not to smear grease or what-have-you all over it on him. Her ear turned as she started up the car, listening for anything that sounded 'funny' but everything sounded like it was running smooth and she turned the engine back off.

"Sounds like its running fine Derrick but I can give her a look under the hood, just to double check if you would like," she said as she looked at him, tossing the cloth back into the tool case.

"It's fine." Derrick reassured Sophia, watching her work but trying not to be too obvious about his interest. While he hadn't always had a thing for hybrids, sometimes the package looks just right. "You're doing me a favor by coming over to begin with." He waited patiently until she completed a quick check, making eye contact once she'd turned her attention back to him.

"I'd feel better if you checked anyways." He suggested, trying to keep his tone light. "With my luck, it'll conk out in the middle of nowhere."

"Of course," she said with a nod and leaned down into the car once more, popping the truck lever, tail swaying a little behind her. The motion made her hips sway a bit, though this was not intentional at all, her tail often moved of its own will and while if she thought about it she could control ita movements when she lost her focus it just kinda did its own thing. Often how she closed it in doors.

She moved around to the front of the carb lifting the hood and leaned over it to peer inside. "How long has it seemed to be acting funny?" She asked without emerging from under the hood, first just looking with her eyes and a small flash light she kept on her keyring.

It was hard for Derrick not to stare. I mean, that nicely shaped ass was just dangling out there for all to see. The sensual swaying of her hips and her tail only added to the image, and it was a struggle not to have an obvious erection in response. He made himself focus his attention on his phone, though he was unaware that he hadn't quite succeeded; as the bulge in his pants was quite apparent if one was looking for it.

"A couple of days." He replied, his eyes fixed on his phone. Though in truth, his gaze wandered from the screen to the movement of her body almost unconsciously.

She could feel his gaze on her every so often and her sensitive nose picked up a strange scent over the top of the oil and gas she smelled with her head in the car. She shook her head, the scent was faint enough that she decided it had nothing to do with the car so it was not a worry right now. "Hmm maybe it's nothing, don't see anything wrong in here but maybe something is wrong," she said as she looked at him over her shoulder. "If you want we can bring it to the shop and I can get it up on the lift and check it out better for you," she said as she straightened up and wiped her hands on the cloth in her back pocket.

Derrick actually had to think about it a moment before answering. After all, there really was the off chance that something was wrong; but also that wasn't really likely. After a moment, he gave a shrug before answering. "That's probably not necessary," he responded finally. "But the least I can do is offer you dinner for coming all the way out here on short notice."

Sophia's ears shifted and turned as she looked at him with a curious look as he told her that it wasn't necessary, that maybe it wasn't nothing. "Alright well if you feel like it is getting worse or it does become something, always bring it by the shop," she said as she tossed her rag into the bag and began to clean her things up so she could head home. Then his other comment seemed to register and her gaze snapped up toward him. "It's no trouble really, I am a mess, hardly in a good spot to go to dinner looking like this," she said softly as she looked at him.

Derrick gave Sophia as bland of a look as he could manage, but a small corner of his brain doubted that he'd fooled her. "You can use one of the extra rooms if you like." He replied as nonchalantly as he could. "Besides, you'd be doing me the favor of not letting me eat alone. I sometimes feel like a pinball rattling around this place." It was certainly true that aside from having a maid service come in once a week, there wasn't anyone else who lived with him.

This wasn't the first time she had been in a situation like this, she was single and some guys found her hot but she wasn't sure why she was so flustered by this. He hadn't outright said anything that really would indicate his feelings toward her and yet she was flustered, nervous and a tad freaked out. "I .... i suppose this one time couldn't hurt," she muttered softly as she looked at him, stuttering a little with her nerves. She pushed a hand back though the fur between her ears, which were pulled back low on her head, a further sign of her nerves.

"Good." Derrick gave Sophia just a hint of a smile, enough to show his approval. He opened the door between the garage and the house proper, waiting until she'd joined him before leading her into the house. "There should be a couple of extra robes in the spare bathroom," he began; leading the way. "So you can put your clothes in the washing machine if you like." He glanced over his shoulder at her to make sure that she was following him. "I'll get dinner ready while you're in the shower."

He continued walking until they'd reached one of the spare bedrooms, which had it's own bathroom. He showed her where the towels and bathrobes were before returning the bulk of his attention to her. "I'll be in the kitchen/dining room area if you need anything." He added, giving her a chance to ask questions before leaving her to her own devices.

Sophia grew even more nervous and she took her tools out to her car quickly and switched out her bags for the one that had her clothes and stuff in it so she could dress afterwards. She was a little worried about this, maybe not worried, maybe she was just nervous about this but she told herself that she just had to get through the dinner, that this was nothing more then a 'business' dinner and then she could go home and things would return to normal.

When she returned he opened the door for her and she held her bag to her chest and she stopped and wiped her paws off on the mat before she stepped into the house and followed after him. She followed quietly behind him, ears still pulled back nervously as they walked on "Okay," she said softly as she moved to step around him and into the bedroom. She watched him walk off before carefully closing and locking the door behind him and moving over, resting her bag on the bed and shook her head. Maybe she should just excuse herself and head hoe, her nerves were getting the better of her and she felt anxious.

She found her soap in her bag and went into the bathroom and turned it on and after a few moments she shifted a little as she waited for the water to warm before slowly undressing. She folded the clothes and set them on the top of the toilet before she stepped in and stepped in using her soaps to get all the grease and oil from her fur and after about half an hour was done, and she dressed in a clean tank top and a knee length skirt. She padded out her fur fluffy as she looked at him as she peeked around the corner into the kitchen.

By the time Sophia was peeking into the kitchen, Derrick was nearly done with dinner. He'd selected a simple spaghetti and sauce recipe, which was both easy and quick to make. He had a bit of Bach playing softly over the speakers and an open beer sat unattended on the counter. He didn't seem to notice her right away, but when he did; he turned his attention to her. "I hope spaghetti is okay." He commented, reaching over to take a sip of his beer.

"You look really good," he complimented her; then gestured toward the refrigerator. "Feel free to grab whatever you want."

Sophia had followed her nose out to the kitchen and had at first just peered around the corner in her nervousness. It was weird, she was always so outgoing and bold when working but this was a whole different situation, even if she knew the man who was making her food. Well kind of knew the man whose house she had just showered in. He was a curious man for sure and she wasn't sure what she was going to do with this situation. Maybe this was just some innocent situation and she was overreacting to this, that this was nothing more than a client offering her dinner.

"That sounds good," she said softly, slowly stepping around the corner she had been standing behind, her ears still pulled back and her tail drooping and coiled lightly around her hip.

"There's beer and wine coolers, as well as both coke and sprite in the fridge." He added, deciding not to try and reach out to her. "There's also a half empty bottle of rum on the counter next to the fridge, so help yourself." He then picked up a plate, helping himself to a modest amount of the noodles and a ladle of sauce. After adding a couple of slices of garlic bread, he placed them on the small table (sized for two) along with his beer. He then waited to see what she'd do next, even offering to get her chair for her if she wanted.

Alcohol. Hmmm it might help calm her nerves but also could prevemt her from driving home, at least on her own. She wasn't one for heavily carbonated sodas either so she decided it best just to get herself a glass of tap water which she set carefully on the table before quietly going over and serving herself a plate of spaghetti. It was a few monwnts more, standing there getting her fast beating heart under control that she turned to sit across the table from him.

He didn't exactly sense her nervousness, but got the general impression that was the case. He got up and pulled out the chair for her, gently touching her on the shoulder to try and pull her out of her almost frozen condition. He waited until she'd seated herself that he returned to his own chair, picking up a fork and slowly began to eat. The situation suddenly felt awkward to him when they brushed hands while reaching for their drinks, and he almost (but not quite) apologized. Instead, he reached out and took her hand in his own and spoke to her in a soft voice. "It's okay." He tried to reassure her.

Sophia jumped a little as she looked at him over her shoulder, ears pulling back a little as he pulled out the chair for her and she settled, shifting so her tail could slide through the back of the chair so it could not get squished. Things felt well, awkward as they ate, hands brushing once when they reached for their drinks and she flushed, long tail flicking, a dull thump as it hit the leg of the table. "S...sorry, not really used to this," she said softly as she looked at him. She was a busy bee, always working so she didn't date much, the fact that this man was rich, well added to her nerves and she looked at him, smiling nervously.

Derrick flipped a mental coin and decided that things really couldn't be more awkward, and there was the odd chance that it might actually relax her. Either that or she'd run out screaming, but it was worth the risk. Well, probably. He took her chin, then gently turned her head around a bit so he could give her a full but light kiss on the lips. "There." He said when he leaned back away from her. "Now things are less awkward."

She sat there, gazing up at him, her eyes wavering but she managed to hold his gaze, chewing nervously on her lip as she studied him. He seemed to be doing the same, at least studying her and then she started to look away, turn her attention back to her food. Suddenly his fingers caught her chin and tipped her head back toward his, her eyes getting wide as she looked up at him before his lips met hers. Her ears pulled back and then he pulled back, the kiss lasting a whole of maybe two seconds before it broke. She was at a loss for words and to cover the awkward feelings and to keep her from babbling she stuffed a rather large forkful of Spaghetti in her mouth while she tried to calm her racing heart and unnumb her mind.

Derrick simply gave Sophia a small nod then returned to his seat, pretending that nothing had happened. He didn't bother with trying to make small talk, instead leaving her with her own thoughts. He'd gambled and probably lost, but it wouldn't be the first or last time. He did make eye contact from time to time, trying to guess what she was thinking; but wasn't sure exactly what to do next. It wasn't until he'd finished eating that he'd accidentally brushed a leg against hers, and settled back into the chair when it happened rather than moving away from her.

He hadn't really lost, she hadn't reacted poorly, it was more....surprise that caused her to react the way she had. The side of her he saw, the cool confident woman, that was when she was working on cars, when put into other situations though, she kind of reverted to this. It was because she just didn't have experience dating, not really and she flushed a little as she looked at him though for the most part kept her eyes adverted, usually looking down at her plate. WHen he shifted she looked up, his leg brushing hers and yet he didn't move it, instead sitting back as he gazed at her. Finally she seemed to find some form of courage. "What do you see in me? I don't understand why you are so fascinated with me? I am just a half breed no one really wants around," she said as she looked at him, her eyes pulling back. PLus while her kind had been around for a while it still wasn't common, seen almost as taboo, to have and interspecies couple.

"I see a woman that I find both attractive and arousing." Derrick replied after a few seconds of considering what might be the best response then settling on the truth. He got to his feet then took the step over to her, then he took her hand and drew her to her feet then pulled her against him. "I want to take you to bed and pleasure us both in the way that you deserve." He slipped his arms around her then kissed her again, only this time it was both passionate and hungry. "And I want to wake up to find you next to me in the morning."
