It was a night club filled with fun exotic people, flashing lights and music loud enough to make your head throb. Joseph wasn't enjoying himself like he should have been, instead he was sitting off alone at a booth sipping his beer and wishing he'd stayed home. His friends took him out but when they got there they ditched him, he'd been a sour puss the entire night because his girlfriend dumped him. He didn't want to do anything but he knew he shouldn't stay inside all day so he reluctantly pushed himself to get out and try to have fun. Everyone he looked at just reminded him of her though, she was gorgeous, funny, smart but he wasn't what she was looking for. She came out as a Lesbian and this was something else that was really on his mind.
He thought he was a pretty masculine guy, he worked out as much as he could for his size. He wasn't overly tall but he didn't think that mattered when it came to masculinity, he spoke his mind and stood up for what he believed. Wasn't that enough? Why did she ever date him in the first place, maybe she was just confused but it didn't help with his self image. He thought about how she probably only dated him because he was small and feminine looking, he wasn't going to find a girlfriend..
With a slow sigh he leaned his head into his hands and looked down at the table, life could be rough and he wasn't any exception. The crowed didn't pay him any mind, the only people who looked his way were the old men on the slot machines. They turned back and mined their own business though, they weren't in any position to help someone else with their troubles.
