Greetings, fellow androids. I'm a recently 30-year-old Canadian woman, been writing and roleplaying for about 20 of those, so you could say I'm a bit of an old hand at it. I roleplay in DMs only, no threads, no Discord.
If you recognized the title, then you probably know already that this is a NieR Automata request thread. If you didn't...well, keep reading if you like, but you're probably not what I'm looking for.

I recently finished watching a 100% playthrough of NieR Automata (haven't played it myself, I don't have the console and I'm honestly not good at that kind of game, so my only option was to watch someone else play it) and goddamn, it was one hell of a ride. That game is a heartbreaking, soul-destroying masterpiece; Yoko Taro is a genius and my eternal nemesis for what that game has done to me.
What I love the most is the dynamic between 2B and 9S. Her guilt over being stuck in this neverending cycle of "meeting" 9S, trying (and failing miserably) not to get attached, and having no choice but to follow through on the order to kill him when he inevitably learns too much; his repeated attempts to get close to her despite the distance she deliberately tries to keep, unaware of the reason, oblivious to who and what she really is - or as A2 suggests, maybe he's just in denial because he doesn't want to see the truth. The complicated relationship they have and the emotions on both sides.
The entire story is masterfully told, really, and it's definitely got me feeling some kind of way. It's certainly making me want more of 2B and 9S, and that brings us to this thread.
The time I was able to spend with you...it was like memories of pure light...
I'm posting this thread to (hopefully) find my 9S. Right now, my thoughts are mostly about an after ending E slice of life sort of thing, but I'll happily discuss other ideas if a potential partner has any. I'm also open to an AU, DM me, we'll talk details. Either way, I want a long term partner; this isn't a one-shot wham, bam, thank you ma'am ("Stop calling me ma'am; it's unnecessary.") request, so if that's what you're seeking, I'm afraid you won't find it here. I also don't do PWP (Porn without plot/Plot? What plot?), non-smut story and interaction is important to me so if you have no interest in that, as before, please move along.
I do have a few hard limits. The following are things I will absolutely not agree to, they are always, always going to be a 100% NO no matter who's asking or why. Not negotiable. If it's not on the no list, (or the yes list, which comes after) feel free to ask me.
NO
Rape/Noncon (Dubcon is okay, I actually like it under certain circumstances and if it's done well, but that's as far as I'm willing to go.)
Anything related to bodily fluids/excretions (Basically, if it's a bathroom thing that isn't an actual bath or shower, that's where it stays.)
Gore (In sexual situations only; anywhere else, it's fine.)
Pregnancy/lactation (I am severely tokophobic, to the point where even typing those words makes me shudder. This one's not really a concern with androids for obvious reasons, but I've seen people try to make it a thing even where it shouldn't be possible, so...)
Anal (Yeah, yeah, I know, there are a fuckton of people who like this, but I'm not one of them. Instant turnoff. If you're into it, that's fine, but it's not my jam and I'm not doin' it.)

As to what I'd like in a partner:
Literate to advanced only please. A good grip on the English language is a must; I had it drilled into me from the moment I could talk, so I consider myself very proficient. I'm not asking for perfection, typos happen and everyone makes mistakes. I don't care about that at all. But if a person consistently has poor spelling and grammar, I'm not going to be interested in writing with them.
I don't accept one-liners or single paragraph posts, but if you fit into the lit/adv category, you won't be doing that anyway. The average post from me tends to have six or seven paragraphs; I prefer long posts (I believe that's referred to in roleplay-speak as "novella," but I could be wrong) whenever possible, but I'm willing to work with shorter ones as long as they're not too short. I'd like to see five paragraphs at minimum, but if you're like me and like 'em longer, then have at it!
Regarding post frequency, I'd like someone who can post at least twice a week. More often than that would be fabulous, but I understand that people have lives and responsibilities and other shit to do.
The real life gender of my partner doesn't matter to me; male, female, NB, I'm fine with anyone. I would, however, prefer my partner to be no younger than 23. That's the age of my youngest friend, and I'd just feel uncomfortable with anyone younger than that.
As I said before, I won't roleplay through Discord, but I will use it for OOC talk, whether that's plot planning or just general conversation. I like to get to know the people I write with, I've made some good friends that way, and I find it makes it easier to become more comfortable with someone.
Lastly, if for any reason you feel like we don't mesh well, don't ghost me. Just tell me that you don't think things are working out. I'll probably ask why and want to see if we can talk it out, but I won't get angry or give you shit for it. Sometimes people just aren't a good fit and that's okay.
That was a lot to read, and I hope some of you are still with me after all of it. Here's hoping this garners some interest.

AU Setting!
Sort of Monster Hunter-esque (bearing in mind that I know dick all about the actual franchise, though from what I've read the series doesn't actually have any real plot, it's really just a "Go kill monsters because reasons" deal), in which 2B is a hunter and 9S a researcher (or maybe he's a novice hunter who needs a mentor). Not being much of a fighter himself, he requires a partner who can both act as a bodyguard, and subdue/capture the subjects he wants to study. He finds this partner/mentor in 2B, an experienced hunter whose name is becoming somewhat well known despite not actively seeking any level of fame. She prefers to work alone, but maybe she owes a favour to the person or organization who gave 9S his job/grant (in the case of him being a researcher. If a novice hunter, maybe she owes a favour to one of his relatives.) Minor details that can be hashed out at our convenience.
I'm open to other AU ideas, this is just the only one I've come up with (that I'm still interested in.) I'd honestly prefer a good AU to canon at this point.
