Queen Christina sighed as she brushed her hair in front of her mirror. She had been married for only a year, but already every eye in the kingdom was upon her seeing as she was expected to have already produced an heir. There was no particular gender, there just needed to be a legitimate heir to the throne.

Christina paid no attention to the others gossip but until the day that she heard her husband had began betting other women including a couple of her ladies in waiting with the intent to produce an heir with them. She knew what she was thinking was indeed treason especially if her husband were to find out but she need to assure her position as the Queen.

After she finished preparing herself she dismissed all her maids and ladies for the night telling them that she would get herself ready in the morning. Christina sat by the fireplace in her sitting room as she looked out the window watching the sun disappear behind the horizon waiting for his arrival.
