Suggestion Adding threadmarks to past PMs

I understand the very good reasons why PMs can’t be edited. It’s whatever. But now that threadmarks are here, I can’t understand why they can’t be added to past PMs to better organize ongoing stories or long conversations. It’s driving me nuts atm.

I think it's because of the fact you can't edit the PM's. In order to put them in, you'd need to be able to edit them and you can't do that beyond a 12 hour period of posting the PM. I don't think the permissions for editing in threadmarks can be separated from general editing.

I would add that becoming staff or supporting the site via Patreon will grant PM editing privileges beyond those 12 hours to a maximum time of...well, forever.

It doesn’t really say that on Patreon itself. But I subscribed at the $9/month level because I use this site pretty much every day.
