Pokemon Rocket (Kal Tammy x Raku)

Yuki locked up with Nidoran, who was preparing to defend himself against the Caterpie’s retaliation. Their bodies eased up once Ceaser finished with another Peak attack. He really was taking them through this battle, wasn’t he? ”Tackle on Kakuna!” They can at least help finish one opponent off.

Yuki applies focused Orders

Nidoran uses Tackle on Kakuna: [1d20+1]=8+1=9

Damage: [1d8+15]=4+15=19

Another strike against Kakuna who proved very durable, both Nidoran's were unable to take it down and with more effort from both slow cacoons, Ceaser was finally defeated. Blue recalled her Pokemon and went for her next Pokemon, intent to keep going. "Go ahead Star!" Alas her Starly was not quite the ace in the hole like they may have hoped. A strong little bird, but lacked a flying attack right now, so just had to slam against the Kakuna, who still endured the damage.

Nidoran

The battle seemed to be throwing the bug catches a bone. Kakuna’s impressive endurance gave them enough time to finish off the already exhausted Nidoran. Their first victory in the one sided battle. Unfortunately for them, the taste of winning didn’t last.

Yuki reminded himself that Star was a flying type, unlike Nidoran, who only used a flying type move. He still had Pidgey in case his own Nidoran went down. This battle was always in their favor.

Nidoran tried to finish Kakuna off with a tackle. Or do more damage to its shell, at the very least.

Yuki applied Focus Orders

Nidoran F uses Tackle on Kakuna: [1d20+1]=15+1=16

Damage: [1d8+15]=7+15=22

With a last strike Nidoran is able to take down the tough little Kakuna, leaving momentarily just the metapod to fight back on the field as it retaliated against the closer Nidoran. Alas though the pattern for battle seemed to hold as the boy brought out his last Pokemon. “Go Beedrill!”

A large bee came into being, but before it could act Star slammed into it in a quick strike as Blue called out for a Quick Attack. Though she hoped to take the Pokemon out before it could do much damage, it did not quite manage. Instead the Beedrill turned and unleashed a furious flurry of strikes against Star, leaving the bird in a similar position as it was.

Nidoran

The fight was entering it’s last stage, if the Beedrill was any sign. Blue was locked into a much tougher battle than her other bug opponents gave her. Both were doing equal amount of damage, making it seem like it was anyone’s fight. However, Yuki knew better. He saw how the bird was slightly faster and made his conclusion off this. Blue will land the final blow to Beedrill and win. Can the same be said for him?

Nidoran braced itself for her opponent’s attack. Despite her looks, she was very durable and didn’t get knocked down. Instead of attacking, she used tail whip to weaken Metapod.

Yuki applies focused orders

Nidoran-F uses tail whip: [1d20+1]=10+1=11

Though knocked off firm defensive footing by Nidoran, Metapod continued its weak but steady assault upon its foe, hopping forward with what little mobility it had to try and take out its foe. On the other side, Blue seemed determined to not let the strong Beedrill to get another opportunity to take them out. "Quickly Star, take him down!" Prompting the small bird to surge forward and lunge against the faster, more evolved Pokemon. It worked out and the bee collapsed to the ground before being recalled by its trainer and not replaced.

Damage: 20 Normal, Physical

Round 6

*Priority*Star uses Quick Attack on Beedrill
AC: 9+2 vs 2, hit
Damage: 30 Normal, Physical
Beedrill faints

Nidoran

Yuki smiled once he saw Beedrill collapsed, but couldn’t distract himself. He still had a fight to finish. Nidoran took another hit, but it didn’t knock her down. But the damage started to accumulate. If the trainer has another Pokémon, like a Butterfree, will she be able to fight? She rushed forward without another tackle, hoping to chip more away at Metapod.

Yuki applies focused orders

Nidoran uses tackle on Metapod: [1d20+1]=10+1=11

Damage: [1d8+15]=5+15=20

Lashing out against Metapod did little to the armoured cacoon, enduring the hit well. Rather than retaliate against Yuki's Pokemon though, it instead turned and slammed against the nearby, larger perceived threat of Star. The Starly had already gotten very beat up by the Beedrill so the attack was enough to finish off the bird and force Blue to call the Pokemon back with a whispered curse. Two Pokemon down and two to go as she went ahead and released her ace, holding off on using her newly caught bug right now. "Come on River, you can do it!" The bouncing Marill bounding out of the ball and into combat.

Round 7

Blue Releases River

Nidoran's turn

Yuki grimaced after seeing his friend’s Pokémon get defeated by the bug. Having traveled with her through Pallet Town and beyond, he knew that River was her last Pokemon. She might get knocked out from this battle, but he still has plenty of fight left in him. “No mercy!” Yuki shouted to his pokemon.

Yuki applies focused orders

Nidoran-f uses Tackle on Metapod: [1d20+1]=14+1=15

Damage: [1d8+15]=6+15=21

Nidoran struck, slamming into the Metapod and pushing it back. Unfortunately, the hit didn't seem to do much to the heavily armoured cacoon, only moderately more than River who curled up and rolled right through and over the Metapod, though in her case she was at least building momentum up for another attack. With the slow speed of the Pokemon, it was unable to pursue River as she rolled past, so once more hopped forward to slam into Nidoran again, continuing to slowly beat her down.

Hit

River uses Rollout
AC: 16+2 vs 4, hit
Damage: 13 Rock, Physical
It's Super Effective

Metapod
Tackles Nidoran
AC: 8 vs 2, hit
Damage: 19 Normal, Physical

Trainers and Nidoran

Nidoran started to look a little worse for wear. The damage from the recent fights started to accumulate to a noticeable level. She was huffing and puffing, having taken a bit of extra time to get up from Metapod’s attack. Still not backing down, Nidoran rushed Metapod for another tackle.

Yuki applies focused orders

Nidoran HP: 24/48 (1 Injuries)

Nidoran uses tackle on metapod: [1d20+1]=18+1=19

Damage: [1d8+15]=4+15=19

The strike hit but continued to barely scratch the heavily armoured cocoon. What did a little better was River, churning up the ground as the fast-moving blue ball came spinning around and slamming over the insect once more, weakening the bug further and building up still more speed. Alas the Metapod was still holding strong, but at least it wasn't doing too well offensively as it missed Nidoran entirely with its counterattack.

Hit

River continues to Rollout
AC: 9+2 vs 4, hit
Damage: 24
Effect: Rollout continues to increase damage with every hit

Metapod Tackles Nidoran
AC: 2 vs 2, miss

Nidoran jumped out of the way for River’s rollout attack to connect. The single attack doing more damage then she did with tackle. But Yuki had faith that their combined power can take the thing down soon enough. A goal he tried to help with by ordering another tackle.

Yuki applies focused orders

Nidoran uses Tackle: [1d20+1]=15+1=16
Damage: [1d8+15]=3+15=18

Nidoran scratched at the surface once again, making little mark in the Pokemon's defenses. She however provided the perfect distraction as River rolled forward once again, this time leaping up and slamming down hard. This overwhelming sticke was enough to finish off the Metapod at last, forcing the trainer to pull their Pokemon back. Now it was just their last, and following up the pattern up till now, the girl threw out the majestic form of Butterfree. Who came out swinging, throwing her will out against the continuing to spin River.

Hit

River Rollsout
AC: 20+2 vs 4, crit
Damage: 46
Effect: Rollout continues to get stronger
Metapod faints

Bug catcher releases Butterfree

Butterfree uses Confusion on River
AC: 8+3 vs 2, hit
Damage: 19

Nidoran

Yuki let out a small cheer once Metapod was knocked out by Rivers. Even Nidoran looked happy from winning the round. It was the most difficult thus far because of the bug’s defensive power. Assuming this was the last Pokemon they can really celebrate later.

Nidoran used a tackle as Butterfree attacked Rivers.

Yuki applies focused order

Nidoran uses Tackle: [1d20+1]=15+1=16

Damage: [1d8+15]=2+15=17

Though full celebrations may be premature, it wasn't by too much. Nidoran had a much better time with the softer butterfly, scratching the bug as it turned its attention away. Now turning to face Nidoran, River struck with the full force she could put behind her Rollout. Now at full momentum, the small blue ball hit like a truck as she bounced and knocked Butterfree right out of the sky. A red beam of energy caught it before it could fall fully to the ground and with that, the battle was won.

Blue gave a small cheer and threw her arms around Yuki to pull him into a hug. Meanwhile the male bug catcher stepped forward to offer a hand and a word of congratulations, his partner on the other hand huffed in annoyance.

Hit

River uses Rollout
AC: 7+2 vs 4, hit

Before Yuki can say anything, Blue already threw herself around him for a hug. The innocent action making him blush as he returned it. ”You did great.” He tried to keep himself calm while congratulating his partner. Soon, he separated to accept the handshake from the bug catcher. ”That was a good battle. Sorry that it dragged on a little at the end there.”
