A sigh escaped a young womans lips as she stepped out of her house and moved to her car. Wearing a white t-shirt with the logo of a restaurant along with a pair of blue jeans and a pair of black boots. Her hair pulled up into a loose bun as she sat down into her old 87 mustang. Another day of work. Jayce was her name, a young woman at the age of 31. Standing at 5'8'', weighing in at 130 and nicely toned. She had dark chocolate brown hair and her dark piercing blue eyes.

If you lined her up along side another woman, there would be nothing different. Except she doesn't remember anything of her past. Especially the car crash she was in thirteen years ago. She pulled up to the restaurant as she parked her car and she stepped out, locking her car. Pulling her small waist apron on as she stepped in and she smiled, greeting her manager as her shift began for the day. Grabbing her notepad and her pen she went to her first table in her section and got their order before heading back into the kitchen to give the cook the order.

Today was going to be a regular, boring day.. or so she thought.

“Jayce, Jayce, Jayce.”

Daniel tapped his steering while thrice, in tempo with the drone of his ex-love’s name. He had considered their time together some of his happier, yet short-lived, moments of his live. She was a wonderful lover and great companion, but somewhere along the line they outgrew each other. Someone else ended up matching a little better with him, than he did with her. And since he had left for another woman, he hadn’t looked back.

At least…he hadn’t looked back until he caught wind of the car accident. Danny still remembered the night that her mother called him, hysterically. He didn’t know what was wrong at first. The woman just kept crying and screaming - words constantly draining into an unintelligible whine. What is wrong!? He remembered shouting back, over her sobs. And when she told him…he couldn’t believe it.

Regret. That’s what had brought him here; that’s what made him look back. He should have never, ever left Jayce. Daniel got out of his car.

Danny was a black man, about 5’11”, caramel complexion with big brown eyes. He was slim, athletic, with a charismatic smile. When he entered the restaurant, the service staff gave him curious eyes, yet knew exactly who he was here for. But instead of getting her attention outright, he had someone seat him in the section she was serving. Soon enough, she’d have to come around and take his order. It was then she’d find out he wanted something that wasn’t on the menu.

She stepped out of the kitchen and ran into her manager who smiled, "Table 5 is waiting." He said and she nodded her head. She stepped forward and made her way through the tables, weaving in and out slowly though she caught sight of the table. Seeing a young, handsome black man and she smiled. She reached his table, "Good morning," She said softly and flipped her notebook paper over. "My names, Jayce. And I'll be your waitress. Anything I can start you off with?" She asked and gave a bright smile.

She knew a lot of people who hated being waitresses, but she loved her job. Because she got to meet new people. And see a lot of the same people who could come back to the restaurant every week. She set her pen against the paper and waited to take his order of his drink and if he was ready for ordering any food also.
