Backstory: Trent was literally born on the water. His father owned his own ship, the Odyssey, and did tours mostly for rich people who wanted to experience deep sea fishing, but didn't want to buy their own boat. He did other rentals as well. When Shark Week became a thing he added a cage that he could lower people into the water while he tossed out chum to attract sharks. Trent's father did well enough that he took two years off to circle the globe just to say he did it. Trent's mother ran the business side of things, paid the bills, homeschooled Trent and lived on the Odyssey. They settled down and started operating out of Florida when Trent was fourteen because they wanted him to have a normal high school experience. Trent was a bit awkward at first, but played cornerback for the football team and got accepted. He got a scholarship to a small school where he majored in nautical engineering. Trent's father wanted him to join the US Navy after school, do a four-year tour, then come back and help him run the Odyssey. Trent wanted to build boats not just sail on them. For the summer he took a job as 2nd Engineer on the Cassandra to make some money and get out to sea.

He is competent at his job, but never faced a serious challenge in his entire career. When his first crisis came, he failed his duty as a captain. She is usually calm, pondered and shy, but her educated mind make her able to retaliate in words, in the most cruel ways, even if she’s still struggling with the use of English, which is not her native language.
Background:
Since her youngest age, Elodie was a quiet and shy child. She was into things that bored most people, like sciences, computers, fiction and fantasy novels, and barely paid attention to other girls interests, and rivalries. Growing up to adolescence, she had become quite the nerdy girl, hiding behind big glasses, and books, and trying to take no part in the “violence” that happened around her.
Growing up near Paris, in France, her parents moved to the south, to Montpellier, where she continued her studies in high school, joining a “science and sports” class, mostly because her parents wanted her to open up, and because of her excellent grades. This could have been a chance for her, as her body started to develop into quite a slender and feminine way, but she didn’t really care about that.
During a holidays travel to Quebec, her parents were killed in a car accident, while she was still at the hotel, preferring a to read books, instead of enjoying a visit. Her uncle, that had invited the family, took then her under his wings, but with his own perverted goals, and after papers were done, Elodie had to join up high school in Canada.
His uncle was quite the perverted man, and he harassed her more than often, criticizing her way to live, the fact that she looked not as good as she could, and that she was good to nothing but to read books.
Then one day, he came to her, with an “opportunity” : she would join an major University in the US, if she'd participate to a boat travel on the Cassandra, with her cousin and best friend Tammy.

But as he got older, he was finding himself unable to say no to good food, and other hedonistic pleasures, so he got fat, slow, and also got 'wounded in action', so he retired with honor. He became a Chef, and almost got his Michelin star, when he was diagnosed with cancer. He lost his restaurant and lot of weight, but he did not wanted to die in a hospital. Going back to serve on a ship, he was medicating himself against the pain. He did not had much time left, and thought he would finally die when the ship sank... But he lived. Crawled ashore, in pain... but not that pain he had to live and die with. He was still weak, didn't recover his old muscle mass, and he lost his facial hair... And that was only the start.

She is now more likely to just follow Elena around, kind of like how Frankeinstein's monster would follow his Master...
