Greetings. Seems you've found my little corner of Blue Moon. Welcome.
I am Anathema. You may call me Ana. Only the best people do.
About me: Oh, I'm a literate para writer with a passion for fantasy. Roll that into the fact that I'm a hopeless romantic and you've got yourself me. I like world building and character building. When I write, I want you to know how my character feels and why she is doing the things that she does. I also love writing descriptions so that you can really picture the way that I imagine the sunlight delving between those autumn leaves. I want to write a story with you, an adventure! If we write about love found along the way, I'll be over the moon excited.
About you: Well, that's up to you. Surprise me.
My Characters: I've played weak characters and I've played the strong heroine as well. Meek or bold. Passionate or timid. Human or some other fantastic beast have been my puppets.
My Worlds: Most are fantasy and medieval with swords and kingdoms. Rarely, I can be interested in a different setting but I have a lot of trouble with modern ones just for the simple fact that my writing is my escape. So it needs to be different from the world that surrounds me.
Out Of Character: I'm a friendly person. I am shy but I warm up rather quickly. I like chatting OOC. I like plotting and discussing ideas. I also like to just see where our writing takes us sometimes enjoying the thrill of the unknown.
Plots:
If you've an idea, feel free to let me know. These are by no means the only plots that I will find interesting. Just the ones that sprang to mind at the moment.
The Wrong Bride (Can love start from a lie?)
This is a story of deception. An arranged marriage happens between a prince and princess to create an alliance. They have never met before the day of their wedding. The issue is that the princess has disappeared before her wedding. Panicking on starting an international incident, the king sends the kingdom's sorceress to take the princess' place. The sorceress is to create an illusion of the princess and take her place until the real princess can be found. Then the two will be swapped back out. Will the prince figure out that his bride is really an imposter? Only time will tell. If he does find her out, what will he do? What happens if the sorceress actually falls for the prince that she's supposed to leave? After all, if she doesn't leave, there are consequences to be paid.
The Last of His Kind (A War Story, Magic, Mythical Creatures)
A terrible fate has sealed our hero away to the point that the rest of the world has forgotten that his kind ever existed. A young rebel leader stumbles upon him and releases him from his prison. She's strong, independent and has no place in her heart for a man (from past trauma.) Of course, she's released him into a world that is no longer his own, a world that is caught up in rebellion against tyranny. So the dilemma is, what does she do with him? She brought him into this unknown world by chance. Yet, can she let him get caught up in a fight that is not his own? And the world has never seen anything like him within her lifetime. Two strong characters but can love find a way to bind them even through all these hardships and differences?
The Stowaway (A High Seas Story)
One young woman is promised into a marriage that she doesn't want but what can she do? In this land, women are not free to choose. In desperation, she makes an escape into the night and ends up hiding on a boat. What she wasn't expecting was for the boat to leave port and find herself stuck on it. So, she tries to keep her presence unknown sneaking around, filching a little bit of food here and there but it isn't long until there's talk on the ship about a ghost since so many things seem to be happening like a door that was closed being accidentally left open since she had to bolt through it. What happens when she is found out? Has she escaped one bad fate to encounter another or is there something else in store?
The Beast (A Damsel in Distress, Beast Hunter - could go either way for role actually.)
There is tales of a beast that has been a plague upon the land (could actually be him or he could just be getting the blame.) The people have cried out for help and after the king has sent his knights to slay the beast, where all have failed, he issues a challenge. Any beast hunter or warrior that can slay the beast can have his daughter's hand in marriage. That means get the girl and the kingdom. Well, his daughter doesn't like that one bit and enters herself in the challenge. Will the beast be curious of her, a woman that really has no business trekking out into the woods and the soldiers tracking her? Will he face her with the same disdain and fight that he has shown all the rest? Or has she perhaps found him wounded and tended to him?
The Ties That Bind (Chance, Protector, Spurned Love, Reunion, Different Classes)
A lord's daughter is an only child and as wild as the day is long. She always sneaks out of the keep to try to play with the children in the village, which there is only a group of boys that are anywhere near her age. She follows them everywhere trying to do all the things that they can do but they ignore her, of course. That is until she's followed them over a fallen tree that makes a natural bridge over a creek. Her foot slips and she falls into the water. Well, daughters of nobility were never taught to swim and she goes under despite her best efforts. One of the boys sees her and jumps into the water to rescue her. She's unconscious by the time that he pulls her out but he manages to get her breathing again, while the other boys run for help. She looks up at him weakly and it's there, where he just finds himself taken with her. When her father comes, he thanks the boy and offers him a reward. The boy asks simply to look out for the girl. So that she doesn't get into trouble again. And so, a peasant boy is allowed to be the friend of a noble's daughter. The girl becomes more achingly beautiful by the day and what started out as a small kindle of attraction between them becomes a fire. He gets up enough courage to ask her to run away with him and allow them to really be together. Yet, she turns him down and that was the last that he saw of her. War came and he went to fight in it. He returned a hero welcomed home with a feast. It's been many years and the girl that he knew had married another. At the feast, he sees her and she's still just as beautiful. Why did she turn him down? Why did she marry someone else? Should he hate her? Should he hate the feelings that he had for her and the pain of rejection? Are they still just worlds apart? Or have the feelings that were once there survived through all this pain and distance? Does she even recognize the boy that he was in the man that he has become?
So, these are my thoughts for now. Enjoy! I look forward to talking with you.
Blacked Out Heart (Prisoner, Enemy Love, Amnesia, Feuding Families)
It's been several generations that the relations between the neighboring peoples (I was picturing Highland clans but could see a different sort of people) have broken down. The reckless sons of both sides get into a horse race and one son is thrown from his horse in a freak accident that is fatal. That son's father goes into a rage and demands an eye for an eye an in this case, a son for a son. Although, the lord shows mercy by not killing him. No, he makes him no better than a slave stripped of his privilege and title, a work horse to do as he's told. The lord has three daughters and the youngest one is appalled by his treatment. She does what she can to make his life easier. What she hadn't counted on was finding him fascinating. So while her father may have taken everything away from him, she wants to give him her heart.
