The biblical story of Samson and Delila fascinated me since I was a kid. One man standing his ground against a army and defending his loved one .... such a great story. But one thing that, in my opinion never got enough attention was Delila, the woman who only is known as the one who betrayed him.
During this year I had a conversation with someone on BMR that led me to write down the story but this time it is told from Delilas' perspective. How did it came to be that she and Samson married and more importantly, why did she betray him and what happened with her afterwards?

Originally I wanted to build a roleplay around this story or rather one that starts, where this story ends but somehow I never went through with it. But since I still like the story, I thought to post it here.
If you like this story, have any assumptions or something else, then feel free to PM me. Please don't reply in this thread since I want to keep the thread to the story only.

Thank you and have fun with the story of Delila.

Since she couldn't get pregnant and feared that her husband would abandon her, Delilas mother made a deal with the demon queen, Lilith. She would give birth to five children but the first born would become a succubus after its sixteens birthday. Her mother accepted the deal and as promised, she gave birth to five healthy children. Three girls and two boys. Delila was the first born and so it was her, that received the curse, to become a succubus.
When she turned sixteen, she took notice, that her interest in other man was stronger than just one day before and she felt a longing, to find a partner and love him. At least that was what she thought. Her mom thought, that Lilith showed mercy and didn't turned her oldest daughter into a succubus, since she didn't changed visually at her sixteens birthday. Little did she know, about the woman her oldest daughter would become.

Her desire to find a man became reality, when her father found a wealthy family that paid well to make her, the wife of their son. This was no surprise to anyone since her beauty often was compared to the beauty of the nightsky in a night without of clouds. When the time came and the ceremony, that made her the wife of her new found husband came to an end, her new husband escorted her to his house, he had build for them. They shared the bed and for the first time, Delila made love to a man.

What followed, was a ordeal for her family. When she found her new husband dead in the next morning, people started to whisper that she is cursed and being with her only causes death. She is one of the gifted by Lilith. For herself though, it was different. She felt sorry for the man, who just died but at the same time, she felt alive like never before, felt as if someone filled her up with energy to the brim. But this feeling didn't last, a day later it already started to fade and she felt the return of the longing for male company. During the night, she left her home, desperately looking for a man that could give her this feeling of being alive again. Finding a man wasn't too hard, there were enough drunken guys, walking outside during the night on their way home, being happy about an easy lay on the way back to their families.

Not a single guy survived the love making to the beauty of the night. For Delila it became a constant fight between her guitly conscience from taking someones life and the incredible feeling that filled her body when she did it. Often times her guilt won the fight and she tried to suppress her longing for male company but at a certain point, latest a month later, it became too much and she looked for someone new.

When she turned twenty, she experienced a period, where she wasn't able to find company for the night since the new guy in charge for her small village quickly discovered, that something happened during the night and ordered everyone to stay at home with their families.

During this time, she felt her power fading, it was as if, she was starving and at one point, she wasn't even able to leave her bed anymore. Her mother, that she loved dearly, took care of her and was worried beyond words for her oldest daughter.

One time, her mother took her to the near small river, where she was able to wash herself. As refreshing as the water was, it didn't help to make her feel better. When she was done and her mother put the clothes back on her, she struggled to get her daughter back on the road, that would bring them home.
A man showed up that introduced himself as Samson and helped the two woman back on the road. He saw the state, Delila was in but also saw the beauty of the woman. In an instant he fell in love with her and asked her mother, if she was married.

It didn't took long and he made Delila his wife. Due to her bad condition, that she was in, there was no big ceremony and Samson didn't even wanted to share the bed with her, as he didn't wanted to hurt his wife further. But Delila insisted on him to spend the night with her, to make the arrangement of their marriage complete. In the back of her mind, she only wanted to feel alive again and so she was hoping, that he would take her tonight. And he did.

What she didn't knew was, that Samson made the oath of a Nazirite and this way was gifted by god with the power, that would make him stronger than any other man walking on earth.
Delila felt her life essence return to her when Samson entered her and made her officially his wife. Their love making became more passionate, the more Delila felt alive. With every thrust and every kiss she sucked out every bit of life essence out of her new husband that she could and as they both ended their passionate session with a scream, that probably everyone around heard, she found herself utterly surprised when she saw her husband standing up, taking a sip of whine and asking her, if she was ready for another round.

No matter how often they made love to each other and no matter how much life essence she sucked out of him, he always remained powerful and strong. In addition he was a kind and loving husband, only interested in making her life as beautiful as possible. Looking back, she considered this two years of her life, as the only time she really was happy to be alive.

When the philistine came to their village and wanted to conquer it, Samson stood himself against them and defended the village single handedly. The philistine couldn't believe, that one man was strong enough to keep them from conquering the village. In time, their goal was no longer to conquer the village, but just to defeat this powerhouse of a man.

So they tried to bribe his wife, to get the information out of her, why he is so freakingly strong. But Delila knew what she had in her husband and declined the philistine soldiers again and again. That went on until the philistine decided, to take her birth family hostage and threaten her with their death, if she didn't gave them what they wanted.

Her hate for these people grew immensly but the love for her family, especially her mother led to her decision, that she would regret for the rest of her long life. Three times she asked her husband for the secret of his strength and three times he lied to her. The oath he made kept him from telling her the truth, no matter how much he hated to lie to his beloved wife. But when she threatened to leave him, since he wasn't able to trust her, he told her the truth. It was his hair.

The philistine came on the next day and the fight was over before it began. But they didn't show him the mercy of a quick death, instead they blinded him and kept him, showing him around as their trophy. In addition they didn't kept their word and erased Delilas whole family from the face of the earth.

Filled with regret for what she did, with sadness due to her losses and anger towards the philistine, she left the village as soon as she could and traveled to the city of Philistia, seeking for revenge. As she arrived, she found out, that they brought her husband to the city, to be shown around and made fun of.
Each and every night she raided the city, once to kill as many philistine as possible and second, to find a way to get in contact with her loved one. When she finally found him, he was working in a temple that was build on two pillars. She saw him struggle and tried to hide in a little distance, thinking about how to get him out of there.

As if he had felt her presence and her intentions, he screamed to his lord, to give him power one more time. With both of his hands he reached for the pillars and brought them down. The whole temple, where over threethousand philistines were at the time, broke down and buried everyone beneath.
Including her beloved husband.

Time went by and after she was able, to get over the one love that filled her heart, she looked for another man that would be able to keep up with her powers. But she never found someone like her beloved Samson.
As time flew by, she gave up all hope to find a partner, that could give her back what she once had. With each time she looked back to the two years spend with Samson, she became more and more sure that he was no ordinary human. She started to despise those weakly humans and the sorrow she often felt, when she took a life in her old village, soon disappeared completely when she took another life. Bitter and filled with regret she lived a lonely life. As long as she regularly took the life essence of a human, she could not die.

So the beauty of the night walked through all cities on earth and took life after life for over 4.000 years.

What she didn't knew though was, that her Samson had a sister. Nashyan. She gave birth to two boys, that heard the stories about their uncle, that withstood the philistines alone for more than fourteen days. Longing to be just like him, one of the boys made the oath of a Nazirite. He lived a long life and dedicated his life to help those in need. When he died, God acknowledged his way of life and gifted him with a blessing. His first born and every first born that would follow his bloodline, will be blessed with this immense power as long, as they live their life for the benefit of the weak.

Today

This bloodline endured the time and Sam Haan, a cop in the town of Albair, is the current holder of these immense powers. He is currently investigating a case of a homeless man, that was found dead in the streets of the city. He had no marks on him, that would show the reason for his death, was still young and healthy. No poison was found during the autopsy and so he investigated in a case, that was filled with more question marks than any case he had investigated before. His chief told him, to let the case rest, that it was probably a natural caused death and in addition, he was just a hobo. Stuff like that happens but he just couldn't let go of the feeling, that there was more to the eye in this case as it seemed to be.

So he kept investigating the case during his private time.
