**As a partner just freaked out, I'll put it at the top of my RTs. I just returned to the US, started a job, and am struggling with an uncontrolled (thanks to inability to find clinics taking new patients) anxiety disorder that is piqued. I do not ghost. I will tell you if I'm struggling, but I might not be able to conform to my own predicted schedule.
I've always had a vague notion of using a grand RP story as a basis for an interactive fiction or IVN. I finished a story of my own, and started another that I got stuck on. I want to continue with that as a more consistent hobby in addition to RPing. But I rarely get partners that last long enough for me to ask permission to use our work or if they'd be interested in participating. So, I'm gonna start off with that proposal, and see if anyone bites.
In short, my idea is that we'd RP 'as usual' though a general story arc. Then, we'd go back and play it with a very different choice, creating a story branch. This would require more far future planning than most RPs, probably, but we'd be free within the general narrative to play our characters' personalities. There's even a possibility to go replay the scenario as different characters making different decisions. This would be using roleplaying as a medium to facilitate writing a CYOA-style story as the final product.
I don't want to rush into a project like this. I'll want to develop at rapport with a partner before investing as much time and effort as this project would need. I hope you will approach this in the same manner. In the event you or we end before it's finished, the understanding should be that I can and may use what we've written and continue the project on my own or with someone else.
For more technical considerations, I've already done some writing on an adult interactive fiction posting site. I would intend that we write here or on Discord, then maybe post finalized scenes somewhere that caters to the IF format, or I can create an interactive pdf when we're done or finish a 'chapter'. If this really turns into something amazing, I might even do some artwork for it and code it up as a simple IVN or illustrated IF.
So, for actual plots and things, I've got some ideas, and I'm open to discussing your ideas. Here are some story ideas in my main RT, and here's a worldbuilding thread for a horror asylum that I've tried twice. For 'realistic' ideas, I've got a porn university or smutty reality show in my mental library. Or tell me about your darker scifi/fantasy/modern fantasy ideas. I'm open to fantastical epic tales, horror, drama, competitions, and even rape-dungeon crawling.
I'm in China for the next few weeks without much to do other than pack to move back to the US, then hopefully find some work-at-home employment. I'm really looking for a meaty, consistent project to collaborate on to keep me occupied and sane during this time. Something more reliable than the usual cycle of world-building than playing for less than a week, then needing to look for another partner.
