Hello there! I'll be adding to this over the next day or so as I flesh out what I'm looking for, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to start with a simple intro.
I've roleplayed a fair amount in in the past, but I've taken a bit of a hiatus from it for the last few years, so I apologize for any rust I'll need to shake off, but I've been busy with my own writing, so hopefully that helps.

For now, here's a list of some general things I'm looking for. Note that I'm flexible with most of these, so feel free to ask.

• 1x1, primarily with female partners, though I'm not opposed to some persuasive fellows.
• Original characters, plots, and settings. Though inspiration from other sources is fine.
• Romance focused plots with somewhere in the ballpark of a 70/30 plot/smut balance. Though this can admittedly vary wildly depending on the roleplay.
• Would prefer to keep roleplays to this site, either forums or private message, just to have them all in one place, but I'm willing to use another platform if that's a deal breaker.
• Long-term, semi-regular. I tend to check roleplays I'm involved in at least once a day, with more frequent / continuous posts when my partner and I have compatible schedules, or happen to be on at the same time.
• Character driven. Don't get me wrong, I love a good plot, but good character writing and arcs are the quickest way to my heart.
• I usually write around a two paragraphs for each post, though of course it depends on what the situation calls for. I consider myself reasonably literate, and prefer similar partners, but we're all human, and the occasional mistake here and there is completely fine. I'm sure I'll make a number of them myself.

If you have any ideas for plots, I'm happy to listen, I have a few ideas myself that I'm writing up and will add to this thread when I'm finished, but for now, I'm craving the following;

• Victorian setting: I've been reading a lot of Edith Wharton lately, and I'd love to do a roleplay set in that time period. In particular, The book "Glimpses of the Moon" has a fabulous plot where two friends decide to marry in order to mooch off of their wealthy friends for an extravagant and extended honeymoon, agreeing that they will divorce when they meet better, and more wealthy, matches. Naturally, they start to develop feelings for each other, but neither want to break the irreverent spirit in which they made the agreement. I'd love to do a version of this story with original characters and plot, but a similar set-up, seems like it could be fun.
• Infidelity for two: Both partners of a marriage have grown bored / frustrated with the other, and have each begun an illicit affair online. What they don't know is that they have been writing to each other, both having used fake name and / or pictures. Not the most original plot, I know, but it still sound fun to me.
• Role reversal. I love power dynamics, but I love it even more when those power dynamics get flipped and jumbled around during the course of the story.
• Theatre setting: I don't have a particular idea for this, but I'd love to do a roleplay based around cast members in a play, could have a lot of fun with this one. I was thinking modern day, but I'd be happy with an older timeframe as well.
