Sir Casamir hailed from a long line of noble warriors, a great family with a distinguished history. The Laurent family was one that had served the Royal Court for many generations, so much so that their name had become synonymous with the Kings of Hironedein. For every King, there had been a noble Laurent at their side, ready to die in order to protect the members of the Royal Family at any cost. Their loyalty was unwavering, their honor unquestionable, their lineage reaching as far back as the Royal Bloodline itself. Sir Casamir was no exception, becoming the Princess' protector from a young age. Upon first sight, he had fallen madly in love with the Princess, dedicating his life to serving her... and serve her, he did. When the pair had been barely thirteen, the golden-haired knight struck down bandits that had sought to kidnap her. When assassins attempted to take her life on her sixteenth birthday, the lion sustained many injuries taking her to safety. Finally, when her family had been massacred in a bloody coup d'etat, he had led her armies and helped win back her home.
The Princess would be crowned the first Queen of Hironedein.
With her enemies defeated, Sir Casamir had lost his purpose. For he had been a chess piece that was good for war and little else. He had protected her, fulfilling the oath taken by every first born son of the esteemed Laurent family. But without war, he had become a background ornament, a decoration that stood at the Queen's side. He loved her... and little did he know, she loved him as well. But she was a queen now - and marrying a mere knight was simply out of the question. There was a hierarchy... a system that had to be respected. The Queen distanced herself from her protector in a vain attempt to bury her aching heart, but the foolish Queen did not realize that her guardian now resented her for it - feeling like a toy that had been used and cast aside. His rage brewed deep within him, jealousy mounting with every suitor that attempted to court her.
She had to be married soon... and she planned to finally send Casamir away.
For with Casamir at her side, the Queen knew well that she would never be able to love anyone else. The Queen summoned her lifelong companion, explaining her newly acquired betrothal and his permanent dismissal from her court. Behind closed doors, he would attack the woman he loved, committing unspeakable acts that would ruin his honor forever.

Chaos befalls the Realm, the land torn asunder underneath decades of war. However, what formerly had existed as
a tumultuous harmony between equally powered, rival kingdoms had been shattered, the delicate power balance
among the civilized world upset by a foreign invader. A powerful, endless Horde from the formerly uncharted East,
the barbarians swept across the realm with frightening speed and ferocity. Kingdoms that had once wielded power
that made their enemies tremble in fear were reduced to cinder, Royal Dynasties that had existed for thousands of
years stamped out in but a single fortnight.
The Kingdom of Emmeria, would be no exception. When the barbaric invaders came to their doorstep, the King of
Emmeria assembled his banners, leading the woefully unprepared army into battle. Oh, how silly noble men could
truly be, believing that by casting away their lives, they were accomplishing anything other than ritualistic suicide .
They prayed to their beloved Gods, hoping that perhaps, if fortune favored the bold, they would be able to bring
victory to an otherwise decrepit situation.
But alas, reality was often far more grim than fairytales.
The Royal Banners of Emmeria had failed their people. The remnants of their pathetic army were hopelessly broken,
scattered to the wind, while the majority became food for the carrion that circled above the battlefield. The nobility
was all but wiped out and in a grotesque display of terror, the heads of the King and the Crown Prince were taken
and left before the royal capital - wrapped in the torn banner of the once proud and illustrious Royal Army. With
all hope seemingly lost, the horrifying position of ruling what remains of the kingdom fell upon the Princess, who
is newly crowned with the death of her father and brother. Inheriting what could only be described as a hopeless
situation, the newly coronated Queen must do whatever it takes to save her people... and herself.
Will she choose to submit to the foreign invader, whose Warlord has claimed other Queens and Princesses before
her like little trophies for him to display, abuse and ravage at his will? A horrifying prospect, but perhaps, falling to
her knees would save her people... surely, there were better fates than becoming the newest toy in an uncouth and
barbaric harem. Or will she choose to marry the Prince from an adjacent Empire, who have always been bitter rivals
with your father. Their military may be capable of withstanding the horde, but then again, how many times had she
heard such promises before? What lengths, would the Queen go to maintain power and protect her people? What
will happen if she makes the wrong choice?
The general idea is somewhat set up in a DM/GM style with me playing multiple characters. If you would like to play
other characters as well, that would totally make this a more fleshed out world, but if you would like to stick to just
playing a single character, you would be the newly coronated Queen of Emmeria, who must inherit a horrifying position
where her Kingdom's army has been left completely powerless. Your character will be faced with many options...
and if she doesn't play her cards correctly, she'll find herself broken at the feet of some terrible man.
