  • The place where one belongs, a home, paradise, can be anywhere in the world. Most classify it as a land, a building, a house....But some claim, it is not a physical place that is, or can be charted on a map. Rather...

It's in the heart of those who love you.

Cut, bruises, she had been lucky to escape a fractured bone, or a sprained leg. Honestly, it had been a worrisome battle, the number of injured scientists before they were able arrive through the Arc. A small monkey chattered on her shoulder, pulling on a blond strand of hair, not with malice, but a gentle tug, like he wanted something. Her head turned slightly towards her right, half her face covered in waves of golden hair. Her scars, her physical scars that tore her face, half her face; as some of the white tentacles curling above and below her right eyes.

That was the price you paid for being a General Exorcist. Reaching up, General Klaud Nyne handed her Innocence, Lau Shimin, a nut from the packet in her had, not seeming to eat any herself, a coiled whip hanging next to her hipbone. The female was favoring her 'causal' clothing, a dark violet shirt, white pants, and her customary choker. The uniforms had been taken, modifications, new issued and standards. Still, she was home, at the new Black Order Headquarters, but at the last attack on HQ, she couldn't put her weapons down, lower her guard, even if she was...

    Home.

And home had become increasingly crowded and less lately, the blond sighed, thinking of an infuriating redhead womanizer... And the horrid loss that slashed at their number, thousands of lives lost towards the Level IV. Offering another nut to the monkey on her shoulder, dark amethyst eyes scanned the area, memorizing the vast hallways that were soon to become familiar...Or not. They might be deployed to search for more Exorcists, the war was reaching a critical point in the tide now...

She headed towards her room; tour done, as her boots clacked against the marble surface of the floor. Maybe she could lie down, take a nap...But her senses wouldn't let her; as a soldier, Klaud could hardly sleep enough as it was during missions. Relaxation was something hard to do, anyone could be an Akuma, a Noah, an enemy. It was nearly noon, maybe go down to the cafeteria after in a little while? Handing the bag of food to her Innocence; the monkey chittered with happiness, his head nearly diving straight into the bag, Klaud allowed herself a small smile, hand turning a knob that lead to her new room.

It would most likely be grand again, more lavished than the regular Exorcist's. General was on rank higher and few ever reached it in their lifetime...Though Allen Walker, Cross's pupil, was only fifteen, and he was amongst their numbers...How quaint... He was the 'Destroyer of Time', would he be able to turn the tide of war...With the Arc and the...Fourteen Noah. Though her own students had been slain by Noah, she couldn't help but feel pity for the white-haired boy. After all...

She had first hand experience on how difficult General Marian Cross could be.[/list:u]

"You call this fine wine? Rubbish!" Cross exclaimed in a fury as he shot the ground under the man's feet. "Next time it will be your head if you don't bring me only the best!" With that the man ran off as he began to drink off an already poured glass. "Urk, taste of this is horrid..." Cross began to think about his pupil and what had happen so far. 'Could his innocence be the one?' Then his head titled ever so slightly to the other way, 'or would it be that lovely lady with the boots?' Cross smiled a bit as he drank again.

Soon enough he set the glass down as he exited his dusty room which was quite nice without the dust and cobwebs. Cross wondered what they 'lovely' Klaud Nine was doing as of late. Most likely playing around with that monkey of hers. Thinking about her beautiful yet dangerous face could only bring a smile on his sadistic face. Cross really hated being in this place. It wasn't a place he normally would be caught dead in. Though he had a common hate for Akuma so he worked with them for now.

Sure, he might have done questionable things that the Black Order would deem bad. Like using dark magic to use his lost love's Anti-Akuma weapon or modifying Akuma but, didn't help the Order greatly? Not to mention it made him one of the more stronger generals out of the four. But, lacking in team work didn't help him that much either.

Cross then peeked his way to Klaud's room as he smiled, "Well, how are you...Klaud?" He said softly to her with a dark grin strapped to his face. "I see you are quite casual at the moment," Cross said as he knew it would annoy her just to poke at the obvious. "I bet your so happy to see me again. How long has it been? Month or two?"

  • Klaud didn't need to turn around and face the voice to know who he was. Nor did she need Lau Shimin hissing, his fur standing on end at the 'intruder'. Call it an instinct, or a sixth sense; she had been a circus trainer before she had become an Exorcist, and maybe some of their wild instinct had rubbed off on her... Or maybe General Cross could be considered an animal himself. The red-haired man could outdo the Devil himself in sins, dark arts, gambling, smoking, drinking, his lecherous ways were a threat to anything that had a pair of breasts...Well, looked relatively attractive with breasts. She could vouch for that; all those missions she went on with him when they were still ordinary ranked Exorcists... Ugh, the only reason he was useful was the way he could charm information out of ladies... As well as their clothing. The white furred monkey ran along her arms, button black eyes narrowed at the man. Clearly, Lau Shimin didn't like him at all, he was a danger to his mistress!

Klaud, however, was more calm than her Parasite Innocence, though there was a barely visible stiffening of her back, as she kept her eyes facing her door. She could hardly get along with him; surprisingly, she would work with Tiedoll the best, the man not insane in some way; Cross was straight off the rocker and Winters...Well, being an ex-prisoner and the fetish for killing was never normal. Though, one of his students...K-Kanda? Something like that; would have said something else, calling the man, old, fatherly, stupid, and a whole list of more colorful words than that. Still, he looked after his students, which was something he respected, unlike the other two Exorcists.

Cross...Was a valuable assist to the Order, she could not deny that. He was one of the stronger out of the four, five, the blond corrected herself, with two Anti-Akuma weapons. Grave of Maria... The lady, the corpse that listened to Cross's every word, moved by dark arts that she didn't not want to know where the General had learned.

Should she turn the knob and shut the door in his face when she crossed the threshold? No, he would just come back and bother her more later. Ugh, could he take a hint sometimes? A frown on her lips, she turned around slowly, boots sounding in the silent hallway, as she crossed her arm over her chest, Lau still making shrieking noises at the other General, but quieting down, as if on a silent signal. "Cross." She addressed him curtly, like always, nothing more than a comrade, an annoying one, but useful as well. "A day." She clarified, "A day, give or take a few hours, that was the last time I saw you." On the battlefield of the old headquarters, when she had threatened to whip him if he didn't fight. Needless to say, his answer had been slightly...surprising. "Is there something you need?" Klaud inquired in an even tone, her booted foot tapping on her room's floor.[/list:u]

Sighing as he looked at the pair. 'Same old...same old.' Cross couldn't help but, be interested in her. Sure he could have any woman he pleased but, her...She was a gem he thought he could never reach. Which made it all the more exciting to play with her. Sure he knew he'd never have a chance with her. She just knew him for what he is or atleast what he portrayed on the outside. Cross then went close to her as she asked what he wanted. "It is simply really..." He placed a soft hand on her shoulder.

"Just wanted to say it was nice seeing you again." With that Cross let go as he turned around. "I'd love to play around with you more but, sadly I don't have time for that. I have places to go and wine to drink. Being here is too dreadful for me. Not to mention being around my stupid Pupil either." Cross said to her softly. "Guess we'll meet again in a few years eh?" Cross asked her as he began to walk. Cross wanted to get out of this place badly. It was dull and boring. It didn't suit him at all. Besides he would be able to work better if he was away from here anyways.

Who would miss him after all? Everyone hated him, he was expensive as hell, and he flirted with any woman with a nice smile. Cross looked at her, "Give my regards to the other Generals ok?" Cross said as he began to walk. Though he knew whether it was from her caring about him just a little bit or the fact she would not want him to leave cause he was essential would provoke her to stop him.

  • They never did change, did they? As their comrades fell, shot down, murdered, killed in battle, they would dance the same tune, he would appear, try and charm, as she would brush him off. It seemed that she was the only one to resist his charms; every female would swoon and faint into his arms, and that was where he wanted them. Klaud stood her ground, disapproving of his actions, and the aura that radiated from her spoke clearly her distaste for his actions. The scars on her face made her look fierce, and it had driven off more than just one potential soul mate. But she didn't need this, wouldn't rest until the war was over...Or if she died. But than, if she did perish in battle, no one would grieve, the pain would last, but being a loved one, watching as death stole away lives before her very eyes, the General knew the pain.

Her back stiffened ever so slightly, Lau Shimin skittering away from the person's hand, baring his small fangs. Hardly intimidating, but when he was activated...Oh, you better watch out. She was waiting for his answer, another invite to drink wine again; there were plenty of female staff to choose from, and their faces weren't as ruined as hers, yet, she had this feeling he picked her out for a reason, and it wasn't pure. His answer made her raise and eyebrow, watching his back as he turned around. Her face straight; was he leaving? Again? "Four years is a long time." Her voice was soft, calm, all of what you would expect of an Exorcist General. She could be considered the most professional out of the four, they were complete opposites of each other.

The blond woman didn't know why her feet were following him, but when she did, she reached the doorway, leaning against it. "That's it? You will leave at the critical point of the war, Marian?" Nyne inquired, voice steely and strong. "You are supposed to be under inspection, not allowed to come nor go as you please." But her lips twitched, "How can you be sure, when you come back, that I will still be here? That I will not be like your beloved Maria?" Exorcists had a high mortality rate, as the the Finders, and being a General, one with high synco rate, was no easy task. She was strong, yes, but... It was a beacon, she could die at any second, now the Earl was targeting the ones that might be potential for the Heart. A corpse, that was what she was, Maria, Cross didn't want to let her go, and turned her into a weapon, protected from praying eyes in the case he lugged around, a physical representation of the cross they all bared..

When she lay broken, bleeding, her heart giving out, would he turn her into a doll? Something akin to an Akuma? No, she was thinking too highly of herself, she was a co-worker, nothing more to him, but maybe the occasional target for flirting.

    "You aren't leaving."

It wasn't just a decision, it was a statement, Klaud wasn't going to let him slip away again, as she crossed her arms over her chest, leaning against the wall next to the door, looking at him with a piercing purple eye.[/list:u]

Cross stared at the woman and how she detest him from leaving. Cross blinked a bit as he smiled ever so gently. "I doubt a woman like you would ever be killed by a stupid fat clown," Cross said as the taste of it seemed to be sour in his mouth. Cross hated that pompous clown to such high degree. It was the reason he was fueled to do anything to get rid of him. Even use his lost love's power to kill him. Though, it would also make you wonder if he did it for other reason's too.

Cross looked at her for a moment as he sighed, "You know if I truly wanted you couldn't stop me." Cross said as he then took his gun out as he neared her face as he pushed the gun close to her face as he looked at her. His one eye traced down her face as he clicked the gun. Though before the monkey could have anymore of a fit he moved the gun away from her face. "I guess I'll stay...For you." Cross said as he looked at her. With that he went passed her as he wandered off towards his room.

Cross couldn't help but, have a smile on his face, 'Heh, so she does have something for me.' Cross said as he noticed people staring at him. Some of them looked quite scared while others were rather put off by him being near them. Soon enough he found himself back in the dusty room as he noticed he had a new bottle of wine as he looked at it. "Guess they can do something right." With that he sat down at his chair as he poured himself a nice serving in the glass nearby. Then he dusted off a nearby book. Smiling at the title of it he opened it up as he used one hand to keep it up while the other was used to sip at his wine.

  • His statement made her lips twitch, was it a smile? Maybe, but it died halfway before it had even formed completely. A woman like her, eh? How...Stupid. By clown, she was assuming that he was talking about the Earl. She had never encountered the man face to face, only glimpses of him in the distance, a round poly figure with a permanent grin. Yes, she supposed he was a clown. Her head titled slightly to the side, the bangs shadowing her face, casting her scars into an even worse light. It was one of her biggest flaws; and she watched as some flinched from her face the first time they saw her; or pity in their eyes. A woman's pride was her face. Though, she hid a slight humor as they faced Winters, the man was quite... Scary in his own way, though it might have been the way he carried himself around. A passing though; she knew what Cross thought of Tiedoll, but what about Winters? That was an interesting thought, those two butt heads quite constantly.

She watched his face, half of his own hidden by a white mask. Raising a fine blond eyebrow, she felt the cold barrel of the gun touch her face, her eye meeting his own squarely on, not frightened, not worried, but a slight adjust of her position had her reaching, touching her whip. Not really much effect if he decided to fire the gun, Lau Shimin frozen, most likely in shock. But Cross had a good idea, removing the gun before the monkey decided to assault him with claws and fangs. He was sometimes docile, didn't shun the man's attempts to 'woo' his mistress, but things like that...Were defiantly not safe for the female.

Screeching, it lashed out at Cross with small hands, before Klaud clicked her tongue, the monkey settling on her shoulder, button black eyes glaring. "Is that supposed to imply something?" She called after him, tutting to herself. Honestly. He carried himself with such pride and arrogance, it was common for most males to dislike him, and women to swoon. But it was the fact he was under suspicion as much as his pupil, the Earl was a force to fear; he haunted the nightmares of the staff.

Returning to her room; it wasn't long before she exited again, Klaud didn't feel too hungry, as her feet brought her to the training rooms. The monkey leaped off her shoulder, as she uncoiled her whip from her side. "Lau Shimin...Activate." The Anti-Akuma beast screamed, growing easily six feet, as he charged towards his mistress, Klaud jumping out of the way, lashing out with her whip. It was a quick beat dance, dodging, landing, and attack once more.[/list:u]

Sure, he did enjoy company of women but, it also at the same time annoyed him to no ends. To have pitiful women just fall head over toes with him. It made him hate the world in a sense. Why should they let anything control them? This was the exact reason why he had a thing of Klaud. She was a strong willed person that wouldn't have any force control her like if she was caged.

Cross sighed as he set down his wine as he looked around the room. 'Seems to suite me huh?' He thought as he merely smiled but, it disappeared afterward. Cross couldn't stand staying in this place. I constricted him and just stopped him from killing off that damn clown. He then got up as he walked around the place. He then went out of the building with the bottle in his hand. Looking at the cliff the building laid he sat down in the grass. Cross merely stared off into the sky.

Cross laid back as he wondered when his pupil would finally become something he could be proud of. Though he knew he was getting there. Cross felt the wind push at his long red hair. Cross had brought his hat as he placed it over his eyes. Relaxing he softly fell into a quick slumber.

  • The world was a strange and unfair place; Klaud already knew that. The Earl played with the love that humans had, using them to bring back a spirit of the departed, and then murder them both, the caller...And the soul that was resurrected. Wear their skin; she wasn't sure if it would be a blessing or a curse to have Allen Walker's eye, seeing the souls, the tormented and chained... The Earl made them dance like puppets, and she was sure to defy any act to control her, Cross would only use her once, break her heart, and move on. She had seen him enough times, wooing, than discarding numerous of women, like toys when a child grew bored. She wasn't strong... Just careful.

Jumping out of the way of a fist, she cartwheeled away, her shirt tucked in to prevent it from rising up, Klaud's eye hardened, her whip lashing out as Lau Shimin's attack landed to close for comfort, her Innocence darting out of the way of the attack. It was a few minutes, before she tired to if, sweat rolling down her forehead, before she recalled him back, the now small monkey scrambling to her shoulder. A bath... That would be good.

A soft hiss of water as the water sputtered from the head, the General stepped into the water, her hair falling to her shoulders, feeling the warm water cascade down. White scars, of numerous of battles, and taming incidents lined her body. Cross wouldn't like it, it showed how flawed she was, not the perfect doll-like ladies he would court. Her head against the cold stall walls, she sighed, before scrubbing her hair with the shampoo laying around.

Her feet took her outside, her hair still down, Lau Shimin on her shoulder once more, she ran a hand through her hair, before stepping outside. The fresh air felt good on her face, as she headed towards the the cliff's edge, feeling the wind swirl around her. Klaud could almost imagine it was the spirits of her students, fallen comrades... Silly, wasn't it? Her eyes fell closed, her hair tossed up by the fingers of the wind, as Lau Shimin chattered about something. Her eye caught sight of someone sleeping, though by the mass of red hair, she could guess who it was.

She didn't know why, but next moment, she was standing over the sleeping male, looking down with a disapproving expression, half her face still hidden, though the blond locks were free from their clipped confinement. Sitting down, her hand reaching towards his hat, what was underneath his mask...? No, she shouldn't. It was silent, like a clip from a picture or painting, Cross lay on the grass, while Klaud was looking at him, a hand outstretched, before recalling it. It was so quiet...He looked sincere, no lewd grins... But, than his face was covered by a hat, so...It was surely something to judge. She felt tired some reason, and found herself lying down on her side, facing Cross, amethyst eye half shut. A nap...She would be gone before Cross woke...Surely. Lau Shimin snuggled into her arms, as she fell asleep, both Generals free of their duties, asleep outside of the Tower, where anyone could find the two opposites an inch between their bodies, quite and silent. Maybe only the wind and clouds were a quiet testimony.[/list:u]

Cross was only asleep for a bit since he too was a person who didn't trust anything or anyone. Though he could tell by the footsteps it was Klaud. Cross didn't really mind as he found it odd he stopped hearing her. Then a hustle in the grass made him more curious. He tipped his hat ever so slightly to see where she was. Then the most curious thing he saw. She was sleeping...beside him. For once in his life a soft smile, not grin, was on his face. 'Silly Klaud.' With that he slowly rose up as he looked down at her.

Cross then saw the monkey as he looked at it. Cross ever so carefully reached his hand out to it. Though he knew the monkey might just bite it. Even still it was merely to distract him as he moved Klaud's head into his lap. Cross looked at the monkey, "You better not ever fail this woman...Or I'll personally rip that Innocence from your body."

  • Klaud hadn't expected Cross to still be...Well, awake. But since his hat was over his face, she couldn't be blamed for misjudging it. If she knew he was awake, she would have not done...Well, lots of those things. Most of all staying to watch him sleep, nor fall asleep next to him. She was not supposed to like him in anyway, besides being a comrade, a fellow General... Heaven knows what he would do if he found out. She wasn't a toy to be toss around, and Cross knew that. Her spirit was something that made most men double back when she was on missions, determined. Her eyes were closed, breathing even, the hair falling over her face. No more burdens of the cross; sometimes, you would think that Exorcists were better off dead.

She didn't even stir, though Lau Shimin was still awake, in her embrace like a teddy bear. Blinking his eyes, he looked upon the General, as his fur bristled slightly as his arms reached over towards Klaud; was he going to do something bad to her? However, her head was now on his lap, something that he hadn't been expecting. Darting, the white monkey sat on his mistress's stomach, looking up Cross, tail flicking back and forth. His eyes were button black, as he looked silently on, almost convaying the accusing tone of, 'What does it matter to you?' Of course, as her weapon, he would never fail her, would be destroyed before letting the enemy touch her.[/list:u]

Cross merely looked at the monkey as it thought he would do something wrong. Cross looked at the woman in his lap for a moment then back up to the sky. His eyes seemed to wander off as he sighed. Cross merely took a swig of some of his wine. The air around him got stronger for a moment then subsided. Cross looked back at the monkey as he looked to it. "If your wondering it is cause she is special to me. Whether she knows it or not. Oh, if she doesn't you better not tell her either." Cross said to the monkey with a smile.

Reason being is that she didn't need a man like him in her life. Cross sighed as he then laid back in the grass as he placed his hat over his head. Mostly making it look like she was the one who placed her head on his lap. His breathing slowed down as he drifted off into actual sleep too.

  • Klaud's breathing was even, her face calm, though there was a slight guard up. For some people, sleeping was the only way to lower their barriers. Not her, not him, not them. They were hunted, waking or sleeping, and their enemies wouldn't hesitate to slit their throats when they were slumbering. Klaud sighed slightly, before shifting slightly in her sleep, the bangs falling slightly off her face, the white scars vivid against her skin. Oh, the shame if anyone found them like this. Lau Shimin chittered at him, scratching behind a ear, before looking at him again, long tail waving side to side.

It was most likely the only one awake now, a silent watcher, on guard to awake his mistress if he scented anyone coming to find them. But it wasn't a human who woke them. Klaud's golem let out a shuddering ring, as bright purple eyes opened, pushing herself up. Wait...When did the ground get so warm...? Looking down, she noticed that...well, her head was currently on Cross's lap. Shuddering, she straightened out her hair calmly, running her fingers through the locks to return them back to order. Snapping the winged ball with a wrist, she sighed, clicking it. Her eyes narrowed, as she got up. Stupid, Cross. He was supposed to be under guard. It was an announcement for another meeting, and if anyone had seen the red-haired General.

Nudging him with the edge of her boot, her hair clipped up once more, Lau Shimin on her shoulder. "Oi....Cross, get up."[/list:u]

Cross felt a soft nudge to his side which made him wake up. He pulled his hat away from his face to see her, He closed his eye for a bit cause of the sun as he looked at her. "Oh...hey." Cross said simply as he got up as he looked at her. Smiling softly at her as he looked at her. Though he listened to her golem as he frowned. "Guess I go back into the building." Cross said with barely any effort as he sluggishly walked back. "Oh, you look cuter with your hair down." Cross said with a sincere smile to her before he tipped his hat and left. Though he had left his wine accidentally or maybe not so accidentally and more rather her maybe trying to give it back.

Cross walked towards his room as he was a bit yelled at by the government leader. He merely picked his ear as he looked at the gloved fingers. Then he flicked it away as he sighed. "I get it I get it. No going outside or anything fun." Cross frowned as he walked into his room and sat down in his chair as if he were a lead ball. Cross couldn't get his mind off Klaud. Which was very odd for a man like him considering his mind was usually on the next woman.

  • Klaud felt no remorse tapping him with the tip of her boot, nudging him awake. Who knew what he would do if she was kneeling next to him; grope her? Ugh. That would have been quite disturbing, no doubt she would bring her whip out to play if he decided to touch any part of her without her consent first. Ugh, his grubby hands touching. She prevented a shiver from going down her spine, but it was barely held back. Raising an eyebrow, Klaud watched him, Lau Shimin nuzzling himself against her neck. She was used to it, if not from him, from the monkeys from the circus she used to be in. An animal tamer. Huh, she wouldn't have believed you if you told her long time ago she would have stopped taming animals and start destroying machines that were a threat to humanity.

"You should, there is a meeting soon as well." Her reply was quick and collected, like she usually was, with no indication that he had noticed her nap next to him. He would probably tease her until her ears bled. He looked like he was drunk, walking with a way that could only be called sluggish. As he left, she stood there, as if he had hit her with a bolt of lightening. She looked...cuter with her hair down? ... Wait, how did he...? Ugh. So confusing, was that man. Lau Shimin chittered on her shoulder, as she looked at him. "I just don't understand him." Her eye caught sight of the wine bottle, glinting in the sunlight. Shaking her head, she grabbed the neck with thin fingers, picking up, before returning into the tower.

After depositing the wine bottle with some random and helpful Finder, the lady had made her way towards Komui's office, stepping over pieces of loose sheets that had permanently made themselves home on the floor. "You called...?"

Her footsteps where harsh on the floor, as she knocked twice on Cross's door. Would she ever see the end of him? Most likely not, there was a mission. Now, normally, it was something the regular ranked Exorcists would take on, but a swarm of Akuma, lead by two level IVs? General work. And she had been assigned to looked after Cross, to make sure he didn't escape on the mission. Tiedoll might have fallen for one of his simpering stories, and Winters...Might have been too wrapped up in killing to notice his fellow General had...well, slipped away.

    "Cross, we have a mission!"[/list:u]

When she knocked on his door he was sleeping again in his chair as he heard her voice. His eye groggily open to meet her's as he yawned. "Uh...mission..." Cross said as he got up softly but, in his sleepy stupor he fell back down to yawn again. Finally he got back up as he put his exorcist coat on as well as his hat. "I'll take too your the one that will be making sure I don't leave..." Cross then went up to her with a small smile, "Well, I guess this mission has atleast one perk."

Cross looked at her for a moment she seemed so cold towards him. Cross stared into her eyes for a moment as he felt his lips wanting. Though he ignored it and pushed onward and went past her. Cross lit up a cigarette as he went walking where they would exit the tower. Cross waited for the other generals as he sighed. He tapped the cigarette to remove excess ashes from it as he sucked on it once again. a bright orange color seemed to get brighter as he did such. Then after having the smoke in his mouth for awhile he blew it out as if he was a silo that billowed smoke from.

  • Klaud looked disapproved; she had gone for what...How long? And he was slumbering away. Sloth, greed, pride...What other sins did he have? Ah yes, lust. Must not forget the most important one. If she could, Klaud would have drummed her fingers on the wall, or tapped her foot to express her impatience. He always did like to slack off, which she had threatened to whip him during that battle. She still didn't know if he had been joking when he had suggested that it was a good idea...And she wasn't going to dwell on the idea. Her foot did start tapping when he fell back into bed, her hand drifting over her whip. If he didn't get up in three...two...one... But he did, swinging on the golden coat over his back, as she stepped to the side to allow him passage. Rolling her eyes, Klaud watched him with a stern appearance. Cross.

Lau Shimin darted up to her other shoulder, as he peered at the tall General, eyes on his red mane of hair, his nose wrinkling at the smell. Klaud did as well, and for a moment, she could think that he would taste exactly like that, ashes and bitter nicotine. Why the hell was she thinking this again? Shaking her head, she looked up at the Gate. Quick transportation, no doubt, she had taken it in the battle with the Level IV. The blond lady watched at the smoke curled up, like a lazy snake, as she frown, her nose wrinkling slightly; but she knew better than to ask him to stop. "Come on." She jerked her head towards the glowing portal. "London, England." Her voice was calm and business-like, quickly addressing where they were going. "A week's stay, the infection is that bad." Klaud continued, looking at the numbers on the doors, counting them, 09...09...Where is that door?[/list:u]

Another puff of smoke bellowed from his mouth as he followed her. Cross kept one hand in his pocket while the other at his cigarette. Cross sighed as he heard what she said, 'Week huh? What is that clown up to?' Cross thought as he finally was done with the cigarette. Cross looked at Klaud as he smiled, 'Well, atleast it isn't all bad.' Cross kept by her side as he looked at her, "So, what do you think of the situation?" Cross said not looking at her.

Cross then looked at the monkey which for some reason seemed almost less hostile to him. Though he thought it was just his imagination. Then his lips pushed together as he began to talk again, "Seems highly odd how he would have an attacking of two level 4's in London. Something about this seems off." Crossed said as he didn't even show much of a serious look. Merely a indifferent yet, bored look was what he displayed but, he was concerned about this. 'Is this a trap to take a General down? If so I better keep close eye on this...'

  • He was going to die. Not from an Akuma bullet, a Noah attack, or even the Earl attacking him. If anything, General Cross Marian was going to die...Of something like cancer from smoking, or drinking. He wasn't even a parasite type; all that poison would no doubt kill anyone; and it would have already done away with a lesser man. Usually a Parasite type would purge all that toxins away from the body, like the Akuma virus, the deadliest of them all. But Cross was a wielder of a Weapon's type, Judgement. A gun. Sighing, Klaud fleetingly wondered how it would taste to kiss him.

Wait, back up there. Why the hell was she thinking about that?

Ugh, bad thoughts, unclean thoughts. Disgusting thoughts. Her footsteps were quickened, as Lau Shimin looked at her, as if sensing what she had been thinking. She nearly jumped out of her skin when he addressed her, as she frowned slightly. "The Earl is getting bolder." Was all she had to offer, her gaze straight ahead. The monkey chittered, agreeing with his mistress, still eying Cross, but not as much loathing as before. Perhaps it did understand him... But than again, maybe not, it was an animal, even if it was embedded with Innocence.

"Perhaps it's a trap, maybe it is not. The war is coming to a critical chapter, and London has many citizens. Their sorrow of loosing loved ones to Akuma will spawn more. We have to prevent that." Her hand tightened on her whip. "That is our duty. No matter the danger."

Cross looked at her as something seemed offset with her mannerisms. What was she thinking about he truly wondered. Though Cross merely set the thought aside as she put her thoughts on the subject. Cross knew it was a trap but, it was a very good trap since no matter what they would have to push through it. Of course though it didn't matter if Cross put his mind to it. It wasn't like he hadn't outsmarted that clown before.

Cross then looked at her as he sighed, "Well, will it just be us going? I'd guess it might since it would be highly dangerous otherwise. Not to mention we have two very big suspects who hold the Heart Innocence." Lenalee and his pupil... Cross had many speculations about it. At first he thought when both of them showed signs of having it he presumed the heart wasn't one but, two fragments. One of weapon type and the other of parasite type. Though it seemed when Lenalee became a Crystal type it made the theory a little shaky.

Cross then looked at Klaud as he smiled at her, "Shall we go then? Sooner the better."

  • Klaud thought Cross was an enigma, she didnâ??t understand him, didnâ??t understand his motives; was he their ally? Sure, he may wield an Innocence, and was a General, but it wasnâ??t shadowed doubt, it was something more that made all glance upon him doubt his loyalty. An amethyst eye flickered his way, for the briefest moments, before it turned to face in front again, her footsteps never faltering. She would not crumble, she had a duty, a job to do to the world, by the cross on her chest.

Obvious was it that they were the only ones currently going? Was Cross trying to start a conversation? â??It is. The Finder that had sent the message to HQ has not reported back, he may be dead.â? Was her quick answer, simple sweep mission, no searching, just destroying the mechanical demons that tormented the living souls. The other two Generals were needed to protect the HQ, at least, at the moment, since the High Generals were still so worried about the attack before. She must admit that she shared some of their edginessâ?¦

As he addressed her once more, she actually turned, and the way she looked at himâ?¦ The female General turned her head, her hand pulling out her whip, the object pooling around her feet, â??Only if you donâ??t slack off.â? Was her clipped answer, as they stopped in front of the door. Taking in a deep breath, she pushed the door open, to leap through it, viewing the burning rubble that was once London. Eyes narrowed, as she was quickly displaced, the Level IV sneaking up behind her, firing its machine gun, as numerous of other leveled Akuma dotted the red sky. The broken buildings poked from the ground, like a decaying corpse, number of screams dotting through the air. Lau Shimin was already activated, protecting his Mistress. It was on.[/list:u]
