An actually sunny Sunday at the end of a week dominated by overcast skies. A subtle breeze to cool things down a little, the sun finally shined brightly above the city without a depressing fog of clouds to filter its warmth. Lonely, or with the company of friends, a wonderful day before the start of a yet another workweek. Like usual, some had chosen to become a homebody, while others opted to go outside. Living in a big city surely brought some inconveniences. However, it also offered a wide range of activities to its residents, assuming one had the time and necessary funds for them.

Shopping, retiring to a quiet corner for a comforting drink, enjoying some me time at home; all inviting candidates for a pleasant Sunday afternoon. Though, one didn’t really need to make a choice when one could do all of them. Not at the same time obviously, but in time. Turning down her friends’ offer to catch a new film at the cinema, sitting in a dark room for hours hadn’t sounded as inviting at the time, Bethany elected to join the mass of people that crowded the shopping areas around the city. An unsurprising choice of activity really. One that she ended up shopping for a surprising item though. Something she was curious to make use of during her aforementioned me time, so to speak.

Leaving the usual hustle of the city centre behind, the young woman took a short walk in the large city park. Like usual, the small bakery-café by the lake became her place of rest. She was not hungry, but couldn’t help but order a fresh cup of coffee. The fragile flower pattern on the surface of her latte still undisturbed by her tender lips, she took a seat outside the shop. She was hardly the only one who liked this place, thus other tables around her were not free as well. Gleesome couples, lonely individuals, more elderly patrons, and many others; they all surrounded her outside.

It wasn’t that rare to come across a familiar face around here, so Bethany glanced across a little. Throughout the short walk between the counter and her seat, she also didn’t fail to turn some heads. Subtle glances eyed her presence at the café. The casual t-shirt she had on top had a nice blue colour to it. However, it was her shorts what must have grabbed the attention of strangers. They hugged her hips quite well, after all. The short garment surely didn’t hide the beauty of her legs as it revealed half of her thighs.

Sitting at her table, Bethany reached for her cup to enjoy a sip from it. A large shopping bag rested on the ground, and against the table, somewhat curtaining the distracting view of her bare legs. A smaller, but more curious bag sat on the table. Given the intended use of the item inside the box, maybe it didn’t belong on the table where people ate. As it sat there though, the pink shopping bag matched the vivid colour of her top quite nicely. It contained a small box, with a stylish letter C on it. Only, it wasn’t really a letter, but the shape of the device it housed. Bethany was, of course, curious about her new purchase. That naughty little thing promised a lot, after all. ‘Dare to try it,’ the instructions written on the box said.

Stephen walked along the street on the sidewalk, his headphones in as he watched people move about. Not surprisingly after a week of constant rain and clouds, there were a lot of people out. His boot splashed into a puddle, getting the cuffs of his blue jeans wet. He wasn’t really concerned about it, as it could be worse.

He was walking to the café that he had park near to go to the game store around the block from it. Of course the parking in front of the store was full, so he had to make the walk. Unfortunately, the store didn’t have the game he was looking for, so he made the trek for nothing. But at least the day was nice. He pushed his hand into his pocked and pulled out his phone, skipping to the next song on his playlist.

After looking up from his phone, he saw a familiar face. Straightening up his shirt, he walked over to her with a smile, pulling one of his headphones from his ear. “Bethany. Hey!” He said, stopping short of her table. On one hand, he didn’t want to intrude. But on the other, he did like her. She was cute natured and strikingly beautiful. “I haven’t seen you for a bit. How’s things?” He had be busy of late, trying to make overtime so he could go on a trip to Europe, and he was sure she was just as busy. This was actually his first day off after a ten day stretch.

A familiar voice calling her name, not exactly a rare happening, especially in this part of the town. Even before she raised her head to look up, her lips had already stretched in a warm smile. Her long brown hair swayed in the opposite direction as the young woman turned her head to the voice. Hazel eyes identified him quite swiftly. Perhaps not a very close one, but a friend regardless. And owning an outgoing personality, coming across a friend never failed to lift her spirit. A cheerful aura usually surrounded Bethany. Today was no exception. Her eyebrows rose above her expressive eyes. “Oh, hey!” She greeted him back, having the courtesy of standing up to offer some hospitality.

During her collage years, hers was quite a famous face, somewhat notorious for dating many guys. Having a job admittedly had taken away from her dissipated life style, made her more composed compared to a few years ago. She was still quite social though. Same ambitions and desires intrigued her. Only, she now had less time to realize those. And if one were to talk with the right person, one could have learnt some rather interesting stories about her. Although she didn’t necessarily broadcast such tales, her kinky side wasn’t exactly a well-kept secret among friends.

“Yeah, it’s been a while.” Bethany kept her smile. She herself had elected to spend the afternoon alone. However, that didn’t mean she wouldn’t welcome the company of a friend. “Not much. Humouring people at work.” Working in a marketing position, she had to deal with all kinds of people. It made good use of her social skills, but could be tiring sometimes.

“Why don’t you sit for a while?” It would have been rude to keep him wait standing, so she suggested him to take a seat. Bethany herself sat down soon. As she pushed her hands on the table though, it tipped the pink bag over, the box in it slightly sliding out. Gladly, it didn’t spill her coffee. Casually, Bethany pushed the small box back in, standing the bag up again. “How about you?” She continued.

He smiled as she recognized him. They shared friend circles, one of her female friends happened to be his girlfriend for a while. When he would hang out with his girlfriend, Bethany would hang out with them on occasion. He always thought her outgoing personality was fun to be around. Though he had noticed the fact she had different men with her a lot. Not that he was one to judge the pleasant woman. More power to her for knowing what she wanted.

She sat down and offered him a seat. “I didn’t mean to intrude, just thought I say hi and see how you were doing.” But he sat at the table. He looked at the box as it slid out of the bag. He knew her tastes, not many people in the group didn’t. There had been many tails of her her conquests, though she never seemed to brag. If she had, he probably wouldn’t have sat down with her. He wasn’t one for people who bragged about their counts. Sure, sex was fun. But it wasn’t a game to see how many people you could sleep with. But he took a mental note of the box. It had been, admittedly, a while for him.

He shrugged. “Same shit, different day. You’d think things would get easier after college, but seems like it doesn’t.” He didn’t have much luck after college.” He had taken a different career choice than she did, instead choosing programming and computer systems. He was always handy with the hardware part of things, and decided he needed to know software side as well. He was good, but right now he mainly worked at a electronics store as tech support. Something his bulky frame told otherwise.

He smiled at her. “How’s the markets these days? Can’t be too good, I assume.” He asked, leaning back against the chair, his green eyes meeting her’s.

“Not at all.” All the while keeping her cheerful smile, Bethany suggested that she wouldn’t be bothered by a friend’s company. She wasn’t a difficult woman to approach, or strike up a conversations with for that matter. By the time her guest accepted her little invitation and sat across the table, there weren’t any other seats available in the place. The small coffee shop was filled with patrons. She could say it was unusually crowded, in fact. Not that she paid much attention to what the strangers around her did, but everyone seemed to mind their own business.

“Oh, I’m sure they’ll be just fine.” An optimistic response to his question. She didn’t hate her job, but she also didn’t necessarily like to talk about it. Not at weekends at least. Like any other job, on occasion, there were times she was expected to work in holidays. Thankfully, this wasn’t one of those unpleasant days. After all, Bethany would have hated it if she had received a phone call from the office. She just wanted to finish her coffee and get comfortable at home. A nice shower, and some me time. That was her unassuming plan for the rest of the day. And probably, she was going to need another shower right after that.

While taking a sip of her coffee, her eyes widened as if it was poison what she consumed. Hurriedly putting the cup down, she raised one of her hands like a brilliant student in classroom. “Hm, oh sorry. Would you like to have something?” Not many people worked in the modest coffee shop. The waiter usually failed to spot guests who wanted to order their favourite beverages. Bethany waved her hand, but was unable to grab the attention of the server. Usually, it was faster to just walk up to the coffee bar. “Coffee or tea? Anything else?” She asked.

With that, Bethany rose up from her seat. Her charming hips swayed into the café. She kept fit, followed a balanced diet. Or she wouldn’t be able to fit into those tight shorts of hers. In them, the pair of shapely legs she owned towered delicately at the bar. “…and an ice cream. Yeah, why not.” This time, Bethany decided to cheat a little by rewarding herself with a single scoop of wonders. After all, the place was famous for its wide range of tasty ice cream flavours. And she wasn’t immune to their charm.

He shook his head, watching her. He was trying to stay away from coffee and he didn’t like tea. “I have water, thanks.” He lifted a bottle of water to show her. When she stood up to go back into the store, he watched her. He enjoyed how she walked and her shots showed if her legs wonderfully.

Because he was intrigued with what he saw earlier, he took a peak into the bag on the table. He chuckled when he saw what it was, shaking his head. It wasn’t that he was surprised. He would be more surprised if it didn’t have something like it. He sat back against the chair when she came back.

He tools a sip of water, looking at her. “Doing some personal shopping?” He nodded towards the bag on the table after he put down the bottle down on the table. “Some seriously fun stuff in that box.” He chuckled, looking at her.

If it weren’t for the bittersweet consequences, Megan would have licked them all clean. Those tempting ice cream flavours, of course. It was difficult to decide, but she ended up going with chocolate mint. Not very original perhaps, but quite refreshing all the same. She didn’t get anything for the friend she momentarily left alone outside the coffee shop, trusting he wouldn’t get bored sitting by himself for a short while, unaware that he would be meddling with her shopping bags, with one of them at least.

It didn’t take long before Bethany returned to the table. “Enjoying your water?” She quipped as her rear once again pressed on the cushion of her seat. One hand wrapping the crunchy cone, her tongue twirled around the sweet scoop. She didn’t mind having that tasty dessert in front of Stephan as he himself stated that he didn’t need anything. “Mhm.” Licking the top of her frozen snack, she gave him a small nod. “Yeah, got a new shirt.” She admitted. However, a rather unassuming shirt she had bought to wear to work could hardly considered something particularly amusing as he implied. No, he most likely was talking about the box on the table.

Pausing for a moment, her eyes shifted over to the said bag. Sliding her tongue another time around the creamy ice, Bethany continued. “Oh, you mean this one?” She wasn’t exactly shy about it, but would have preferred to keep it rather private, not to give an impression that she regularly shopped for such toys. Funnily, those who knew her well wouldn’t be surprised if she had. In truth however, it was something new for her, one that she hadn’t tried before, but quite curious to experience at the same time. “I got it for a friend, actually.” Her tongue wandered across the top of the cone, her brows knitted like a guilty kid who had stolen an ice cream.

Taking a short break from her licking, Bethany reconsidered, how that little toy wouldn’t make an innocent gift. “Hm, that didn’t sound right, did it?” Her chill lips widened in a smile, her eyes rolling in self-ridicule. “Yeah… I bought it for myself.” She elected to just admit it.
