Troubled Waters: Survivor00 & Innocent Naomi

Troubled Waters
Survivor00 & Innocent Naomi

~~~
The surface was a forbidden place. One that she was never supposed to go to, especially without guidance. Her mother had warned her of the dangers of the surface and its inhabitants, and the chaos she could accidentally wreak upon them. But the storm was so magnificent tonight that she couldnâ??t help but sneak up to observe it. Maybeâ?¦maybe she could sooth the storm, calm the great waters like her motherâ?¦
The young Lugia had slipped unnoticed from their lair while her mother slept, her sleek, silver-white frame gliding through the turbulent waters with ease. Her eyes were a bright sapphire as she watched glorious flashes of white light streak over the waterâ??s surface, illuminating her even from far below. Only one thing seemed amiss. A strange, black shape at the surface caught her eye, a dark object that tossed and rolled in the cresting waves. She changed her course slightly, so that she would be of safe distance fromâ?¦whatever the shape was. She could feel the tempestâ??s fury far before she approached. She spread her wings and swept them back, pushing her up and out of the ocean in a towering whirlwind of foam and water.
The storm screamed around her, the stinging rain splashing against her body. She had not seen a storm like this since the night she was hatched. The moaning wind swept the great waters into towering peaks of froth, while tridents of forked lightning crashed down around her, lighting the sky forever. She could feel such energy writhing within the storm, and she nervously started to feel that she might not be able to sooth it. Butâ?¦she could tryâ?¦ She opened her wings wide, the dark blue fins on her back unfurling. She closed her eyes and started to sing, the song that her mother had been teaching her. She needed to concentrate; it was the only way it would workâ?¦ She sang to calm the Beast of the Sea, to send it back to slumber in the depthsâ?¦
A sound entered her ears that was not natural, a frightening metallic shriek that pierced the sky even over the howling wind. Her eyes snapped open as she looked down at the strange, dark object she had seen before. It was a small, human vessel, tossed about like flotsam on the waves. Faintly, she could see lights glowing from within in as it slid down into the trough of a wave. She heard shouts, panicked, seeing small forms rushing about on its surface.
The Lugia let some of the air bleed from her wings, slipping lower to the surface until the foamy crests splashed against her sky-blue underbelly. She got as close as she could to the vessel without being seen, she watched as the humans hurried back and forth, even though she did not know what they were doing. She gasped when a figure was suddenly thrown from the dark object, splashing into the tormented seas. Quickly, she dove beneath the surface, swimming with all her strength to the sinking figure. She slipped beneath them and caught the form in her sweeping wings. It was a girl, her body unmoving, small bubbles escaping from her mouth. Her eyes wide, she tucked the human protectively to her chest.
With a haunting groan that echoed throughout the water, the object at the surface plunged below the waves, the lights from the inside still glowing bright even as it rushed past her to the inky depths below. She watched, horrified, for a few seconds before turning her head to the surface. She whipped her tail behind her, propelling herself out of the water. Carefully, she placed the human girl in her mouthâ?¦she could not carry her anywhere else, before fanning her wings and sweeping towards the horizon. She took great care to not harm her, barely keeping her lips closed over the body. Lightning crashed around them, illuminating a small island sitting atop the waters. The palm fronds on the trees were swept into a fury, and powerful waves crashed upon the reefs, but it was a safe placeâ?¦ That was where she would go, where she would take her. Carefully, she bled the air from her wings, dropping gracefully down to land on the muddy beach.
She carefully took the human girl into her wings again, walking forward towards the line of windswept trees. Carefully, the young Lugia set her down against a tree, lying beside her to shield the human with her own body, looking up at the raging storm, hoping it would soon calm. She looked back out towards the furious seas, and with nothing else to doâ?¦she sang.
          • At first it was calm cruise through the blank ocean to the nearest region , who's name slipped her mind completely. Then it turned into a hell ride. A storm rolled in over the ship and the surrounding waters. It was a deathly storm. Lightning and thunder crackling in the sky wile the rain poured hard on the ship. Screams shrieks and cries were heard as the ship was tossed around by the large waves. Everyone was trying to gather they're loved ones. Everyone was trying to find the path way out of the storm.
            A little human girl stood near the front of the ship. She was about sixteen. Her bright red hair reaching up to her waist and her green eyes scanning the area to try and find her parents, whom she lost on the way out of the storm. She was cold, scared and alone. This was a problem for the girl. Her short purple sun dress hugged her nicely and was decorated with elegant lines and swirls galore. She watched as the many people run inside of the ship, and out of the rain, wile she waited, for her parents. She bit her bottom lip and yelled when the ship jerked to the side, sending her closer to the edge. One more jerk and she fell out of the ship. Her body ended up sprawled out elegantly in the water, her eyes shut peacefully closed and her mouth slightly open to let the air bubbles float to the surface. She was passed out, she couldn't feel a thing, she could do a thing. This might of been her end.
            As she was passed out , she could have swore that she heard singing. A elegant melody ring into her ears. Calming her from the storm as it continued to rage on, her parents stuck on the ship as it sunk to the bottom, Krii being the only survivor as she lied on the muddy beach, unknowingly a Pokemon protecting her from the cold harsh rain.
            A few hours after the storm her green eyes fluttered open, her mind clearing up as the slight sunlight hit her face through the cracks that the Lugia left wile protecting her from the air and rain that left.
            Krii was astonished at the sight of a pokemon above her, she didn't move, just sat there as her still wet sun dress clung to her soaking body. Her hair was clung to her face, the hairs that circled her angel-like face clung closely to her. She didn't know what just happened, but right now she wasn't much in the mood to find out.
The Lugia stayed by her side throughout the storm, her song whipped away on the wind. She cautiously checked on the girl several times, gently stroking her face with the strange â??fingersâ?? at the edge of her wings. To her great relief, she felt that the girl was breathing, and that her heart was beating. Nervously, she looked back out towards the sea, waiting for the moment when her mother would emerge â?? furious â?? from the depths below. She had disobeyed her greatly, and knew that she would be punished, but she could not leave the human alone, not until the storm had subsided on its own. She snuggled close to the human, to keep her warm with her body, almost desperate to see her safe.
She remained there, sheltering her from the storm until it began to subside, the rains waning and turning to a light drizzle before fading away. Soon, the clouds began to apart, the sky brightening to reveal a wonderful blue, the air crisp and fresh. Once she knew the girl would no longer be in danger of the rain, she stood to her feet, her wings tucked to her sides. The Lugia walked towards the edge of the beach, wading into the shallows just off the shore. The seafloor was littered with reefs, while forests of kelp waved in the living currents. She smiled, diving for one of those kelp fields and taking a few fronds in her mouth. She tore them from their roots and darted to the surface, flying back to the human.
She lay the kelp strips out on a rock. It was something she commonly ateâ?¦maybe the human could eat it too. She leaned over top of her, looking at her face. â??Pleaseâ?¦wake upâ?¦Â´She called softly, her thoughts touching the humanâ??s faintly. She gasped softly when the human opened her eyes. They were such a startling green. She quickly leaned back, nestling down on the warming sand as she looked at her. â??Are youâ?¦okay?â?? She asked her, sapphire eyes staring into shimmering emerald green.
