Question Alert Not Leaving

Not a big question, but there is an alert to a conversation I'm no longer in but the notification won't go away and it's bugging me. Anyone got a solution?

Have you tried going to the show all under alerts and them marking them all all read? ^^

I actually have had the same problem for months, because I dropped the site for 3 months, and when I came back, there were three alerts, but they no longer show up under all alerts, since they are so old. It’s like I’m being haunted for my past history of ghosting people.

I've noticed alerts don't seem to go away in a specific instance:

If I get a 'follow' notification (IE some one is following me) and their profile is 'this person limits who may view their profile' (Assuming its a private profile?), the alert only goes away when I click the 'Mark Read' option on the alerts page.

The same goes for if someone reacts to a post.
