Pyrrhus Amell always was one for a challenge, and when it came to his work it always seemed to be a challenge. Especially when it came to dangerous relics. There had been a call to adventurers, and he had answered. It had been a job that the local Duke of the region had requested a strong willed individual to withstand the temptation of a valuable relic. The Duke had advised him that the relic in question was unknown in it's full effect but it was believed to be potent enough to kill a Duke, maybe even the King himself. But it was a terrifying thought that one relic had the power to kill a king with ease, and was still not locked up or protected in any way shape or form.
The task took him to a set of ruins that while some had ventured into not many survived and yet it still hadn't been found yet, but it was rumored to have been there all along. Pyrrhus would be one to attempt to cheat fate and make his way into the ruins. At first his entrance into the ruins had been a path that others had walked before, the marks of escape and defeat, triumph and glory. It was all the same with the damages as he went deeper into the ruins, finding less and less marks, though signs of the "correct" path and signs of the paths of "despair" as he went deeper, where people had died or where few had thrived in the dusty depths.
Eventually he'd find himself at the end of the line where most had found treasure and glory and yet he felt he needed to go deeper to find another way. At first there was nothing, no path, no real way through beyond returning the way he came. However after what felt like an almost hour or two of searching he eventually bash his way through the problem. Literally he rammed a way that looked like it would give out and break through to go deeper into the ruins.
Finding his way deeper he had ended up dealing with a few skeletal enemies that had survived in the new sections of the ruins that he hadn't gotten through yet. Though it seemed that there wasn't that many in there, perhaps it had been just a hidden side passage. But with a little more effort he had heard something ahead and saw what looked like an amulet resting on a pedestal. "Looks like a trap if ever I had seen one..." He mused to himself out loud hearing more of something in there area and noticing another way into the room as he looked over the amulet to figure out the past what seemed like a trap there.
