Brief Background: Alyson grew up in an upper-middle class family and got good grades in school. She had plans to study law after high school but while on a sabbatical to travel across the continent she met and fell in love with a man twice her age who first got her hooked on drugs and then used her to distribute the drugs he sold and to finance her own addiction he forced her into prostitution, often using secluded but not remote motels for this purpose.

During her trial she pleaded not-guilty on all charges claiming that she had been under threat of bodily harm if she had not complied with her boyfriend's demands. She claimed that at one time he had even threatened to harm her family. She was two months pregnant when she was sentenced and incarcerated. Her son lives with her older sister and her husband.

She still maintains her innocence and has taken up her studies again while also organising a support group for victims of prostitution and similar crimes such as for instance trafficking.

In a fit of rage she went to the kitchen got a carving knives and stabbed them both 79 times in total.

Being one of the longest serving inmates at MWCF she is the one most of the other inmates seek out for advice, many prefer her to the staff therapists, doctors or nurses.

Brief Background: Danielle graduated at the top of her class from Brown medical school with a minor in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and has worked with addicts in one form or another since she graduated, mostly through her private practice but also at various women's correctional facilities around the country.

She has been at M.W.C.F. For about sixteen months and while she is aware of her colleagues special program for helping the inmates she has no issues with it since there is no force or coercion involved even if one might argue that his clients are dependant on him, as long as he is careful and makes sure he doesn't get them pregnant.

With Dr. Montand being the only official therapist at M.W.C.F., and her minor degree in CBT, Dr Xavier usually assists him at group sessions.

Brief Background:
Molly may at first seem like the girl next door who always has a smile on her face but that is only part of the story. Ever since she was in her early teens she has written dark tales of the supernatural, in the same vein as H.P Lovecraft. Little by little these tales began to contain elements of dark erotica often with young women falling prey to some supernatural creature feeding on her sexuality. It could be anything from dolls coming alive to plants depending on her orgasmic secretions to reproduce.

In her late teens she also began to develop an interest in the bdsm scene and as soon as she was legally adult she began to hang out at various fetish clubs around the city where she little by little began to discover herself, her sexuality. It was there she fully realised that she was almost as attracted to women as she was to men. Many of her experiences from those clubs were transformed into ever darker, ever more erotic stories.

She was convicted of Armed Robbery after she and her girlfriend robbed a convenience store at knife point. For her girlfriend it was about the thrill but for Molly it was all about the experience and perhaps that may be the case of her imprisonment too.

Hacker Karin Williams also known by hacker alias 'Crimson Rose' is charged and found guilty of at least five cyber crimes offences and one Grand theft of almost ten million dolllars of a bank account from a company in New York. She is well known to also help other criminals with computer viruses and computer hacking. She always was at large because she often changed looks and never was in one place for too long she kept moving. Massive effort from the FBI brought her to justice and now she is facing at least thirty years in prison.

As a keen walker, his yearly outing to The Netherlands for the Nijmegen Four Day marches is a high point in any given year.

Brief background:
Erica as an only child was spoiled terribly by her father and mother until he died when she was 8 yo. Her mother remarried quickly a strong aggressive man who dominated the home and essentially tolerated her being around. She withdrew as a child afraid to misstep in any way but was witness to much of her mothers sexual submission to him. Her escape was in her books and school; and a teen she attached to an older teacher who became a role model, mentor and surrogate parent for her. Erica eventually became her teacher‘s pet figuratively and literally. Their friendship continues to this day while all others have either abandoned or disowned her. Corresponding regularly.

Always a good student, Erica won academic scholarships to the state university where she met her husband and married him immediately after graduation. Never able to conceive, their sex life was ordinary, very vanilla, routine but regular.
Following the example of her female mentor, Erica was always very attached to her students, personal with them, offered them extra time and energy and eventually got too close to a few. She always professed that her intentions and. actions were misrepresented and overblown, but at trial there was overwhelming evidence and testimony by her students that convicted her.

Significant Personality Traits: Kelly can be extremely charismatic. Can be being the key words. She's resourceful and able to look after herself. She has attained a lot of survival skills through reading, a hobby she loves to indulge in even behind bars.

Brief Background: Kelly grew up in foster homes. They weren't very good ones, to say the least, and as a result, she learned to take care of herself. At a young age, she could get lost in a good book, pretend she was anywhere and anyone but what her current situation had given her. Even as she grew older, this still remained a coping mechanism. As her body began to blossom, she began to notice the wandering eyes of men. It didn't bother her until her foster father became one of the men giving her those same lingering looks. One day it became too much when he finally gained the courage to touch her. With witness, he found a blade slicing through his throat. She watched him die, blood spurting from him at first, until it became a trickle. Cleaning up, she knew she had to do something with the body. Unable to drag him from the tile of the kitchen floor, she chopped him up. The smaller pieces were easier to carry to the freezer in the shed out back. She kept one piece in the kitchen though and hatched a diabolical plan. Suffice it to say the rest of the family ate well that night.

From there her crimes only grew. With the head of the household missing, as far as the authorities knew, it became her foster mother's job to take care of them. So with a lot of free time on her hands, Kelly once more hatched another plan. Taking over the computer he mother had by day, she set up to broadcast webcam footage to earn some cash. She grew addicted to the fans and the money, but she wanted more. Brining a man into her bedroom, she lost her virginity, and watched her viewer count and cash flow rise. One after the other she began to perform sexual shows with various men. The more lewd the act, the higher the viewer count rose. All the while the cash continued to come in. Still, she wanted more. So during a show one evening, while the man was restrained to her headboard, Kelly began to torture him. Her showed ended with a screaming orgasm and his blood spraying her body. The viewer count continued to rise. 'Cam' began to trend on the internet. Her snuff films were highly rated. No one suspected a thing. As far as they were concerned, these two were consenting adults putting on a show. Nothing more. Nothing less. One evening she grew careless with how she restrained her victim. Before she knew it, he was free, rendering her unconscious. When she woke up it was to the sound of police sirens and blue lights. Her arrest gained her the highest viewer count she ever had. Her face to the camera as the police handcuffed her. "And scene," she said to the camera before being pulled away. She was dubbed The Virtual Killer. Through everything she not once claimed she didn't do what she had been convicted of. Not once did she claim she was insane. No, that was for the person meeting her to make up their own mind about.

Sexual Orientation: Bisexual but leans straight. Is generally a switch.
Brief Background: Jenny was born in the rural backwoods of the Appalachian Mountains to an American father and a Japanese mother. Her father served in the military, first in the Marine Corps and then in the Army Reserves and was a blue-collar truck driver. Her mother was a stay-at-home mom.

After graduation, Jenny decided to go out on her own, but became embroiled in a world of sex, drugs, petty crime, and general excess. She was arrested after breaking into a house to steal cash and valuables and had a small amount of cocaine on her person. She plead guilty in exchange for the burglary charges to be dropped.

Brief Background: Steve Anderson grew up in the Midwestern United States and as a teenager, ran with a street gang known as the Almighty Gothic Lords, a gang mostly comprised of poorer whites (particularly Irish, Italians, and Poles) and Latinos. He was pretty low-level in the gang but he was loyal and friendly and grown up alongside the really hardcore street toughs.

When Steve was 19, he got busted on a felony theft charge in North Carolina but since he had a clean record and the judge was completely unaware of his gang affiliations, he caught a very lucky break and the judge was willing to drop the charges in exchange for probation and community service. After he finished that up, Steve befriended a guard who worked at Mirkwood and traveled up there to become a correctional officer. Now he's on the job as a guard.

Brief Background: Katie grew up in a middle class society. Her mother worked as a school teacher, and she taught piano in her spare time. Her father was out making the world a better place by being a lawyer. Ironic. She grew up well groomed to be the perfect little society princess. High grades, the best of everything, a large home, nice clothes, even a dog and that she could play fetch with behind a white picket fence. At the age of 16, she took a job at a local pet store. It was a small store, unlike the big chains that dominated the cities. She liked it that way. Everyone liked it that way. Her life was plucked straight out of a painting.

After she finished school, Katie decided to take a scholarship to a local university. It was interesting for her, as she always looked far younger than she was. Still she dove into studying the culinary arts. Her dream was to become a chef. It wasn't tough balancing work and school. Like everything else, it seemed to come easy to her. There was only one dark spot in her perfect life. Her boss. She knew most people didn't like their boss, but her hatred for him grew stronger with each passing day. Katie had heard the expression, 'Kill 'em with kindness'. She decided to give it a try. When that didn't seem to be working, she decide her boss had to go down….in flames. He needed to suffer, and what better way than to lose something he cared about? She was arrested in the street in front of the shop as the flames reached higher and higher laughing.
