The characters are part of Erin's group to eliminate the vampires who placed themselves as the lord of the town. During the final battle, the nobel in charge is Valek, a vampire lord, and the characters managed to take care of all the minions and surrounded Valek in the final battle, however, Valek was much more powerful than the other vampires they encountered and in combat, Valek escaped into a portal which opens up and sends the party through.

As the characters were disoriented, Valek escaped into the sewers.

=============================================================================

This is a strange world, there are bright lights at night and the buildings are tall and everything seemed magical. Everything was strange and disorientating and As the party scans around, men in black uniform approached the party (police) and as the party were armed, the men in uniform attempted to arrest them and the group easily took out the police. Most people in this strange place do not carry weapons or wear armor, and there are lights everywhere.

The party managed to find a fire escape and entered an apartment to change into clothes to blend in, and they have to lay low to learn more about their location. The owner of the apartment returned home to find the party in the house, but he was easily charmed and given gold to help the party. The man -- Herbert Brown -- was friendly and started explaining modern technology to the group, and how things work so they can function.

He also helped to convert gold to cash, and all the characters have money to spend and know some of the basics of the world but it still fascinates them.

The vampire lord is Varek, able to dominate and drain life.

Varek has created various vampire spawns and is tactically controlling various crime groups, so the party can explore the city to hunt down some minions and vampire gangbangers. With these groups and a few occasional random kills that turned into vampires, the group can safely confirm that Varek is here.

Varek still does not know that the players have came to the modern world with him and is still figuring things out and manipulating humans to gain power and control.

@Melethron Ralfy can join you to scout for vampires in town, casting invisibility if needed to cloak the whole party. Perhaps can use Divine Sense to find vampire and vampire spawns. And probably thugs / police will be thrown at the party if discovered. So stealth mission.

Sounds good to me. I think Mel would presume the Vampire will try to bring the 'ruler' of the city under his control, and presume to head there to lay a trap, as that's a common Vampire MO. Of course, there is no guarantee they would be able to see the mayor or catch the vamp, even if he goes there...the big concern is I only have so many uses of Divine Sense a day, and it only goes so far...

@Melethron Good idea, can you start the post? Perhaps the characters can run into some trouble as they continue to figure out how the city works.

Character sheet up.
Wow, your character looks like she is really deadly with much fire power...

Want to consider more diplomatic spells as well?

Can try joining the story, but once the fireworks start, the party will be in deep shit.

Let's just say the average trained person is roughly of level 3(at most)
So a Fireball would easily be overkill and be loud and obvious.

Charms and hold person or gas spells can help escape.. and when you do a subtle Telekinesis, it can be pretty effective.

I changed some spells around, I kept the healing, due to the only other healer being a paladin.
