So, this idea is, at least in concept, a simple one. There is a fantasy world (potentially with sci-fi/magitech elements) where two great powers are locked in conflict with each other. The war wages, but it won’t be decided by the armies. This war will be decided by the heroes. The only problem is both sides have heroes.
Both of us would create a cast of characters to serve as the elite units of each side. These wouldn’t be rookies or guys picking up a sword for the first time. These men and women are the best of the best. Them stepping unopposed onto the battlefield practically guarantees their victory. They’re less people and more forces of nature.
This is not a story of black and white morality nor of easy victories. We both need to be comfortable with the ideas of our characters losing. Of our beloved characters being defeated, being captured, being killed. We can use dice rolls, we can simply write and react to let it happen organically, just so long as we can discuss and accept things that will happen. Also, no unbeatable/invincible/immortal characters. Kind of undermines the whole point.
I don’t have a world in mind for this yet. We’ll also need to work on that as well. What are these two powers and why are they at war? Maybe we can even make a map to show the world we’re fighting over.
Now, what about smut? Obviously, this is an adult site and I love smut, so I’m happy to include. Maybe there are two who fall in love on the battlefield, a strange relationship forms between captor and captured, maybe non-con. Or maybe we have no smut at all. Please let me know what you’re looking for when you message me. We can talk to decide what we want and are comfortable with.
Finally, gore. This will be a violent story of people fighting and attempting to kill. I’m fine with gore to a point. Obviously let me know what happens and add in details like blood splatters, but nothing excessive and disgusting. Again, we can discuss what we’re comfortable with.
I worry this may sound like a lot, but it’s something I’ve wanted for a long time. I’d love for us to assemble an amazing cast of characters, and feel our hearts break as they fall against each other. After all, this is war. And if one thing can be said for certain about war, it’s this:
There will be casualties.
