Hey there people of Blue Moon.
My name is Dreaming Neon, but you can just call me Neon. If you're looking for a writing partner that's a total geek, writes far too much and overshares, then you're in the right place!
This is my first attempt at a new request thread in a few years, so please don't be too mean about it. After a several-year break from roleplaying, I'm dipping my toes back in the water and hoping to find some cool people to write some awesome stories with.
I stopped roleplaying a few years back, due to several reasons. The main one is that real life and a number of mental health issues got on top of me, and roleplaying was one of a few hobbies that suffered. But that was a long while ago, and I'm back, baby! God, I'm cringing at myself already.
As for who I am, that's nothing exciting. I'm just a twenty-five-year-old guy from the UK who loves reading and writing anything remotely fantasy or sci-fi based. I also really enjoy gaming, watching superhero films, creating overly complicated worlds and annoying my cat. I'm also a Ravenclaw and pansexual, though I think for the moment I'm mainly looking for male/female pairings. Though I can probably be convinced to do other pairings.

How I write
- Medium. I'm looking to keep things strictly on BlueMoon. I'm happy to roleplay over both Threads or PMs depending on your preference.
- Communication. I'm a big believer that having an open channel of communication alongside our roleplay makes everything easier. I like to be able to discuss the roleplay, what we enjoy, don't like and where we think it should go next. I also love brainstorming and bouncing ideas around together, t's one of the great things about roleplaying. Plus, I'm pretty friendly. If you wanna shoot the shit and nerd out over video games and movies, then I'm down!
- Plot vs Smut. I enjoy smut as much as the next guy. However, you will rarely find me looking for smut-heavy roleplays. I really enjoy a good plot and some interesting characters. One of my favourite kind of stories is forbidden romance, and the lengths our characters will go to in their affair. I love drama and conflict and action and a little bit of adventure. That said, I do enjoy smut, but I just need some story and character development to go with it.
- Quality. At the risk of sounding arrogant, I'm a decent writer. I've been writing stories ever since I could, and I don't plan on stopping. I'm a bit of a geek about it, and I'm always trying to better myself. That said, I'll never rant and shout about a few mistakes; we all make them. I just ask that, for the most part, your writing is grammatically correct and it seems like you've proofread your posts. As for how much I write, that depends on what you give me. My average is three to five decent paragraphs, but I can easily write much more than that for the right person and the right story.
- Style. For the most part, I tend to write in third person, past tense. I have also written in first and even second person before.
- Visuals. I'm a big fan of using visuals, especially when I'm brainstorming. I like to use images to give me ideas and inspiration for characters, settings, etc. However, the visuals I use are always for inspiration and to add to my writing, not to replace character descriptions.
- Schedule. I can be a bit of a slow writer, and real-life is a bit of a bitch at the moment. Typically I can guarantee at least two or three decent posts a week. And OOC chat is a lot quicker as I usually reply as soon as I read your message. However, if I'm going to be absent for an extended period, I'll certainly let you know.
- One final note. If I come across as a bit intense or high maintenance, that's my bad. I'm actually really friendly and easy-going. We're all here to have fun, so I don't take things too seriously.
The characters I write.
Firstly, I'm happy to write as both male and female characters, and I have no preference as to your real-life gender. At the end of the day, we're not our characters.
Firstly, I'm happy to write as both male and female characters, and I have no preference as to your real-life gender. At the end of the day, we're not our characters.
- Males Characters. I'll play anything and everything. I have a weakness for rugged guys with long hair, but that doesn't stop me from playing quiet nerds, obnoxious jocks, villains, save the day kind of guys, antiheroes, whatever.
- Female Characters. I confess I do have a bit of a weakness for athletic women. That can be anything from lightly toned to an amazon goddess. That said, I'm very open and accepting if you want female characters that are petite, curvy, tomboyish or whatever. And as for their personality, I'll write any kind of archetype.
- Dom/sub dynamic. I don't tend to describe my characters as being either dominant or submissive. That's far too simplistic for me. My stories often revolve around complex characters that can be both submissive and dominant in different situations.
The Worlds I Want to build.
- Sci-Fi.I love futuristic settings and will happily craft a story in the following genres:
- Space Opera. Think Mass Effect or Star Wars; a myriad of aliens With action, adventure and space battles.
- Dystopia. Oppressive governments and grim
- Cyberpunk. Gritty stories in neon-soaked cityscapes.
- Virtual reality. Could be anything like The Matrix or Ready Player One, with a human populace practically living in virtual worlds.
- Robotics. Think I Robot or Detroit Become Human. Artificial life gaining sentience, struggling for their rights.
- Fantasy. I love all manner of magical worlds:
- Modern/Urban Fantasy. Magic in the modern world, either as a secret society or open to the world.
- High Fantasy. Dragons and magic and adventure are just everyday occurrences.
- Low Fantasy. Normal, often dark and gritty worlds where magic is a strange, rare thing.
- Dark Fantasy. The darkest of dark fantasy worlds, bordering on horror.
- Post-Apocalyptic:
- Zombies. An oldie but a goodie. Could be anything from The Walking Dead to The Last of Us.
- Nuclear. Think Fallout games; scorched worlds, ruined cities, radiation and mutants.
- Post-post apocalypse. The world ended long, long ago. The old world is all but forgotten, and society has restarted, usually in a more primitive form.
- Slice of Life. Ordinary, everyday people and relationships. Usually in a modern day setting, but could also work in something more fantastical or sci-fi based.
- Historical.I'm typically a bit more selective about historical plots, but as a rule, I enjoy all of these eras:
- Vikings
- Ancient Greece
- Ancient Rome
- WW1
- WW2
Fandoms
I am very selective of the fandoms that I will roleplay. I vastly prefer playing OC's within established worlds, rather than playing as canon chaacters. But I won't rule it out entirely, it just mght take some convincing. For now, here's a few worlds that I would be open to roleplaying in:
- Mass Effect
- Dragon Age
- The Hobbit/Lord of the Rings - Books over films.
- Borderlands
- Skyrim
- Oblivion
- Fallout 3/4/New Vegas
- The Witcher
- A Song of Ice and Fire
- The Last of Us & Part 2
- Red Dead Redemption
- The Walking Dead - TV show not the comics
- Spiderman PS4 Game
- Anything from the MCU
- Horizon Zero Dawn
- Harry Potter
- Supernatural
- Diablo 1/2/3
- The Outer Worlds
Kinks
Once upon a time, I used to have an f-list, but that has long since been lost. Until I create a new one, here's a brief overview of my kinks. This list is by no means exhaustive, so feel free to ask about anything that's not on here.

Turn Ons
- Vaginal.
- Oral - Giving & receiving.
- Anal & Assplay - Mainly giving, possibly receiving for the right person and/or plot.
- Romance. No matter how dark and twisted the plot might get, I still like an emotional connection between our characters. It doesn't necessarily mean everything has to be sunshine and rainbows and cuddles, though that can be fun. It could also be something darker and twisted and toxic like the Joker & Harley Quinn.
- Bad Romance. I mentioned it above and figured I'd expand. I love romantic pairings where the characters are just so wrong for each other. Not necessarily in an abusive way, but more they bring out the worst in each other and end up doing things they never normally would.
- Affection. Kissing, cuddling, cute pet names and all that fun stuff.
- Seduction.
- Foreplay & non-penetrative sex.
- Corruption. One character leading the other through a sexual awakening, often with sister intentions or methods.
- Sexual awakening. Similar to corruption, except without the negative connotations.
- Sex positivity.
- Taboo Relationships. Forbidden pleasure and characters who just can't resist make for some truly interesting stories. Most people think of incest or teacher/student pairings. They're not wrong, but it can also be so much more. Interracial pairings, people of different social class or status, even humans and aliens/monster.
- Non-human characters. Can be anything from elves and orcs to robots, aliens, creatures of a tentacular nature, vampire, demons, werewolves and much more.
- Cheating.
- Roughness. Biting, scratching, choking, hair pulling. The kind of sex that leaves a mark. I like receiving as much as I love giving, as long as it's all consensual.
- Realism
- Risk of… Pregnancy, being caught, catching something, or something else entirely.
- Clothing. I have a bit of a thing for clothing, and it's hard to describe. I like sexy/slutty clothing, sure(in particular I have a massive weakness for short shorts). But more than that, I love it when attention is paid to clothes. When sex starts, our characters aren't just naked. Usually. There's clothing to get rid of, and most people don't have the sheer strength to just rip entire outfits to shreds(never mind how stupid that would be). I love it when there's such passion between our characters that they can't wait to get their clothes off, and maybe they don't. Perhaps they just settle for pulling skirts up or pushing pants down, or to the side. Or even if they do entirely strip off, it can still be fun, sensual and seductive. Or even take a while, building the tension.
- Consensual sex.
- Dubious Consent. Be it trickery, blackmail, coercion or even just forceful persuasion. Most people think of the guys tricking the girl, but I'd also be open to the girl tricking the guy.
- Dirty Talk. Not porn talk! I only want dirty talk that makes sense between the characters. Sometimes, on very, very rare occasions, that might entail him calling her his little slut. But for the most part, it's a little bit subtler than that, consisting of more innuendo, suggestion and even just the right tone of voice.
Maybe
- Smut focused roleplays. It is very incredibly rare that I will be seeking a purely smut driven roleplay. Sure, there are times when I might have stories with sexual themes, but that's an entirely different thing. But I am only human, and sometimes I do have cravings. But it will probably take some convincing, and it would need to have a good background plot or interesting characters.
- Pregnancy/Breeding
- Non-Consensual. I like twisted and fucked-up relationships, but rape is just a bit icky to me. This would take some serious convincing.
Turn Offs
- Toilet Stuff.
- Extreme Ageplay
- Over the top abuse and degradation/humiliation.

Post-apocalyptic, Dark Romance, Zombies
Brother x Sister
Be warned, the characters in this story aren't good guys. Actually, I'd love to see them become the villain of their story. Something like The Governor from TWD, or even Negan.
That aside, they're a brother and sister duo that have managed to survive a zombie apocalypse. The type of zombies is up for discussion. However, they spent a lot of time wandering and scavenging, just the two of them. They relied on each other for safety and comfort. Eventually, they began to rely on each other too much, using each other for their more… physical needs. They told themselves that it was just physical and a way of keeping their heads clear. But things spiralled, and they started to develop feelings for each other. And as they continued to survive, they realised that there were very few things they wouldn't do to keep each other safe and happy.
Where this story begins depends on how long term you want to go. I'd love to start with them on their own. Perhaps a year into the apocalypse, or even very shortly after they lose their family and their safe zone is overrun.
They've gotten pretty good at surviving and gathering resources. We'd start with their budding love and sexual connection, how this develops and how they react when they meet new people. Do they introduce themselves as siblings? Or as a couple instead? I'd also love to explore the start of them becoming the bad guys. When they see another couple or small group with supplies, do they sneak in and steal some of their food? Or are they more forceful?
Alternatively, we could start several years after the fall of society, and the duo finds safety in a walled settlement. They are accepted and explain that they are siblings, planning on ending their affair. But it turns out their feelings are harder to set aside than they first thought. But just how far are they willing to go to survive? I'd love to see them somehow end up leading this settlement, trying to be decent despite the darkness that the secret has brought out in them. Maybe something along the lines of the governor from TWD, if you're familiar.

The Purgatory Expedition
Science Fiction, Survival, Horror, Violence, DM/Player
Explorers x Alien Planet
I'm thinking this is going to be kinda dark, with the possibility for a fair bit of non-sexual violence/gore, and horror.
Basically, I'm looking for someone to play a character or a team that is sent to explore a harsh alien planet. Maybe they're just explorers, or perhaps they're on a rescue mission. Either way, the planet is a cruel, dangerous environment full of alien wildlife trying to kill the expedition.
Are the aliens simply intent on killing all humans? Or do they have more sinister plans in mind?
I'd play the world, including both aliens and other human side characters along aside your character(s). There's be lots of room for stupid horror mistakes, action, violence(non-sexual) and survival adventure. I'd also love to brainstorm together to flesh out the universe and the planet.

Adventurer x Anyone/Anything
Perhaps one of my most light-hearted ideas. In short, I would love to create a world together and then write a fun, easy-going adventure story within it. It's as simple as that. This could be science fiction, fantasy or even post-apocalyptic. Either way, I'd love a lot of brainstorming and world building together.
I'd also like to take the role of DM, playing the world around your character(s).

All we have is each other
Modern day, Slice of life, Romantic
Brother x Sister
A brother/sister romance that could be set in the modern day, or even a different time period.
Our characters come from a family that travels around a lot. They've always been dragged from one school to another, so they struggle to build any lasting relationships with other people. The one constant they have in life is each other. That bond has grown so strong that they go to each other with all their problems. As they grew up, that included sex. The two of them discussed it, talked about their shared interests and fantasies, and how difficult it was to get close to other people. Eventually, it just made sense to rely on each other, satisfying their sexual desires. They made the best out of a chaotic life, and it worked for them.
Until their parents seemed to actually settle down. Suddenly everything was up in the air when they stayed in the same place longer than they ever had before. How do our characters react? Are they able to let their guard down? And when other people start showing an interest, are they able to let go of each other? Or does jealousy flare up?
I figure this might have some time jumps, from the point of their initial getting together to the modern day where they are more settled, along with flashbacks to their years of exploration.

Unable to resist
Slice of life, forbidden pleasure, sneaking around
Teacher x Student
This idea revolves around a mid to late thirties history teacher becoming infatuated with one of his students. It doesn't help that his marriage is falling apart. But he just can't get her out of his mind. She's not a popular girl in the slightest, but something about her stands out to him. She acts older than her age, and always seems to stay behind in his class to work on projects and ask for help. All things considered, they've got a pretty decent relationship, and he's easily her favourite student. One day, when she stays behind after school, he offers to drive her home. Unable to resist, he makes a move on her.
From there, this could go several ways. The first is that she has feelings for her teacher and she reciprocates, beginning an affair between the two of them as they sneak around, trying to be together without arousing suspicion. The second idea is that she uses her teacher's feelings for her to wrap him around her finger in exchange for better grades. Maybe she even manages to get some money out of him. Ultimately, when she's done with him, she casts him aside, possibly ruining his life. The final idea is that she doesn't want this, or is certainly a bit more dubious. The teacher has to be a bit more forceful, twisting it around in his mind that she wants this, that she's just playing hard to get.

The Monster Bodyguard
Fantasy, forbidden romance, possible political intrigue
Monster x Human Princess
In a kingdom where humans live in harmony with more exotic races, the has princess has a monster for her bodyguard. The act was a symbol, a way to show that humans trusted the other races as equals. This story would follow the bodyguard as they deal with the mischievous and rebellious princess, the feelings that begin to develop between them, and
I think the bodyguard would either be an Orc or Minotaur knight, something that most people see as a savage barbarian. Though other monsters could be interesting. Maybe a goblin rogue? A demonic sorcerer? Or perhaps even a mysterious mindflayer? Or she could even be assigned multiple monstrous bodyguards.
Some possible plot points:
I think the princess might be curious and quiz her bodyguard in his people's culture, only to lead to some awkward or embarrassing scenarios.
There could also be conflict between the human knights, who don't approve of a monster protecting their princess.
Depending on how old you want the princess to be, she could already be married. I'm thinking her husband might be somewhat abusive, leading the bodyguard to step in.
A threat on her life could see the princess sent to a remote location with her bodyguard to keep her safe. Of course, tensions begin to grow between them.
When the kingdom is invaded, the two characters are forced to flee, doing whatever they can to survive. Do they try to retake the throne? Or do they try and build a new life for themselves far away.

Elves aren't meant to mingle
Fantasy, adventure, interracial
Human Mercenary x Elf Prince
My character is an elven prince, the fifth child of the reigning empress. Though their empire is home to countless races, the elves rule supreme. They make up the upper classes, looking down on humans, dwarves, orcs and all manner of other races they deem to bestial. All his life, my character has been told that he shouldn't mingle with the lesser folk. Yet he often enjoys sneaking from the royal castle and out into the city most nights. There he walks the streets among the crowds of non-elves. He listens to their tales of adventure, of their travels, and he longs for an adventure of his own.
But when he meets your character, a mercenary/adventurer, he is completely smitten. After some convincing, her gets her to agree to let him tag along on her travels. After all, he is a decent wizard and could come in handy. And thus their adventures begin.
Some plot points:
MC would probably be very naive and rely on YC to explain a lot to him about society.
My character will have likely lied about his identity, telling YC that he is just another elf. Of course, his royal nature is bound to surface at some point.
I think we'd have some fairly light-hearted adventures as they travel together, with action and conflict and fight scenes and budding romance.
The kingdom could be invaded/attacked, leaving MC torn between choosing to fight for his people or stay with your character.
My character could also have his eyes opened to the cruelty and brutal nature of his family and the ruling class of elves. As such, he might start sympathising with the uprising/revolution.
