Personal/Specialty Equipment
--Hoverboard (Pictured Above)

--Various Gadgets

Standard Requisitions

None (All of her gear is non-standard and self-customized. The brass have mixed feelings on this fact)

Personality: Agate is a kind and cheerful young woman, and to some she can come off as too cheerful. She likes to spend time with the squad outside of missions, and is happy to either kick butt at video games (she's not cheating!) or to cook a meal for her comrades. She can get hyper-focused on making or changing a project - however, when it comes to missions and combat she is able to keep her mind versatile and do what is needed, be it harassing, sniping, or hacking.

History
: Agate, the child of a human and second-generation cyberelf, had a relatively tame childhood for twelve years. What happened during year twelve has had its records sealed, but the facts remain that a dimensional rift opened in her neighborhood and a horde of Extra-Dimensional Assailants (EDAs) poured through. Medical records indicate that soon after she was admitted with severe cranial trauma and near-total destruction of her lower legs.

The legs were easy to fix, and Agate's mind eventually healed - however, her technomancy had been severely and permanently damaged. As the connection to the digital world is a large part of cyberelf culture, her father poured all his resources to create a graft that was eventually implanted into Agate's mind to strengthen her connection and ability to technomance. Sadly, it was during this year (the nineteenth of Agate's life) that her father died of overwork. Now left alone, Agate jumped from job to job, working on her tinkering (especially her hoverboard - she's very proud of that) before being scouted to the DSTF.

Player: ovalteenies
Name: J (Subject 8872J)
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Rank: Rookie
Squad Role: Recon

Appearance:

scifi_guy_07_by_alpyro_dba6y09-fullview.jpg

Special Characteristics: Genetically enhanced body (enhanced senses; beyond athletic speed, strength, and endurance)

Personal/Specialty Equipment: special alloy combat knife
Standard Requisitions: standard scout gear

Personality: Part of the experiment done on J was getting rid of what makes someone human, wiping him clean as a blank slate. Though with help from Agate to rebuild himself anew, he retained the cold and calculating traits embedded into him by the cult that molded him into a soldier.

History: Part of an experimental project by the Servants of the Ones Beyond, J was abducted along with others to serve as soldiers for the cult. The scientists planned to create an army of supersoldiers that would do their bidding. Halfway through the process of turning him into one, DSTF raided the laboratory and put a stop to the experimentation, rescuing those they could - J being one of them. DSTF scientists did what they could to undo the experiment but the damage was already done.

Now a member of DSTF, J works closely with his rescuer Agate, part in revenge for what the cultists have done to him and part to repay the people that have given him a new life and saving him from being a mindless grunt.

    Name: Samantha "Fuse" Fluss
    Age: 23
    Gender: Female
    Species: Human, enhanced
    Rank: Private (former), Rookie
    Role: Assault and Demolitions expert

Appearance: her short, messy hair has a few strands dyed slightly red framing her delicate-looking face with button nose and pouty lips arranged neatly under two bright, grey and brown eyes. Her pale skin has a slight tan, usually. Unless she hasn't had the opportunity to enjoy being outside in the sun for a while. Her casual clothes usually include a very tight, sleeveless top that might be a leotard worn alongside leather pants- generally black in color. She does not wear high heels, eschewing fashion for functional running shoes or army boots that perfectly fit her small feet. Small, but proportionate to the rest of her 165cm (5'4")...

Special Characteristics: wired reflexes and reinforced spine to protect her neurons better, in order to keep her movements at peak performance, always. As a result, she has enhanced reflexes, manual dexterity and body control (acrobatics). She's extremely good at sprinting from almost all starting positions. She is also a proficient contortionist.

Personal/Specialty Equipment: custom-made multitool and equipment for the purposes of putting together custom made explosives ranging from grenades to pressure-mines, to breaching charges.

Standard Requisitions: rifle, a pistol sidearm, a hold-out pistol sidearm backup, two frag-grenades, two incindiary grenades, two smokebombs, two flashbangs, three direction anti-personnel mines and enough C4 to destroy a 21x30 yard, three story building by toppling one side and let the other follow suit.

Personality: laid back and gregarious, that is the first impression she gives when first met. Of course, on the field she is anything but: she has to be, given that she works with explosives for a living and one errant twitch could spell life and death. She also seems to be pretty apathetic towards most things and people sometimes may get the impression that she does not take them seriously

History: she lived with just her father ever since she could remember- the reason being that her mother left them for a more successful, more handsome man when she was just a toddler. Her father never told her, instead lying to her and telling her that her mother had passed away from illness. She only discovered the truth when a bully in highschool, many years later, brought it up during a bout of, well, bullying. That was the last time Sam cried. The next day, the bully had to go to the hospital after some very strong firecrakers exploded from his locker and sent him careening into the wall. He dropped out of highschool after he came back and his seat spontaneously caught fire when he tried to sit down. Despite her best efforts, Sam could not find her mother and after she finished highschool, she did not continue her search any longer. Instead, she joined the military and after that, was transferred to the DSTF as a demolitions-expert. Her true calling!

Player: Motoharu
Name: Riley Garrison
Age: 23
Gender: Non-binary
Species: Human
Rank: Rookie
Squad Role: Front-line fighter

D2B03FAA-6490-48AA-975E-B34448569C83.jpeg Appearance: 5’3” and 110lbs, Riley is fairly short and skinny, with a lithe frame. They have black hair that mostly goes down to their chin, but with a few strands that are longer, down their back, tied in a ponytail.
When not on duty, Riley dresses more feminine, since their work clothes are masculine enough.

Special Characteristics:
Biologically Enhanced: Riley has had their body biologically enhanced to have exceptional strength, agility, and endurance. They are not enhanced to the point of being superhuman, just to the point of where they could place in the top 3 of Olympic Athletes in every event of non enhanced humans. Riley must have a daily injection of a serum to maintain their enhancement. The serum is deadly to anyone that has not gone through the full procedure previously.

Superhuman Healing: Riley’s biological enhancements also gave them superhuman healing. They can heal from any injury, no matter how severe, including regrowing limbs. Riley must have a daily injection of a serum to maintain their enhancement. The serum is deadly to anyone that has not gone through the full procedure previously.

Personal/Specialty Equipment: Gunblade

Standard Requisitions: Standard Infantry Equipment, minus body armor.

Personality: Riley tends to be a pretty serious and quiet person, especially on the battlefield. Even off the battlefield, Riley prefers activities that don’t require much talking, such as dancing, video games, and sports. This does not mean Riley is unfriendly, they just prefer listening over talking, unless they feel really comfortable.

History: Riley joined the military when their parents were killed in a mysterious Extra dimensional incident. They became an infantry soldier that was injured in combat when they pushed Fuse out of the way of live fire. Fuse was able to defeat the enemy soldiers and bring them back to the base, but one of the rounds severed Riley’s spine, leaving them paraplegic. During recovery, a doctor from DSTF offered Riley a unique opportunity. He had an experimental treatment, code named Biological Enhancement R, that might be able to cure Riley, but could have horrible side effects, even death. DSTF was looking for a competent soldier, that would appreciate the upside more than the risks, and Riley was the perfect candidate.

The experiment itself was incredibly painful when administered, but overall a success. Riley felt better than ever. So far the only side effects were occasional headaches, insomnia, and increased appetite, but Riley is being monitored closely. During animal trials, the regeneration went out of control in 10% of subjects, causing cancer and death, and there was one documented case where the subject turned into a monster, and had to be contained.

Riley is now essentially DSTF property for a minimum of 10 years, while undergoing careful examination. They are trying to make the best of it, and are glad to be on their own two feet again.

Player: Idlewyld
Name: Annika Clawbridge
Age: 20
Gender: F
Species: Nekomimi
Rank: Rookie
Squad Role: Stealth/Infiltration Operations

Appearance:

461ca43e8869565feae797db288a5ea283ea663d.jpg

Special Characteristics: Enhanced reflexes, night vision, climbing skill, silent/hidden movement, retractable claws

Personal/Specialty Equipment: Insta-rappeling kit, shadow cloak for near invisibility at night

Standard Requisitions: Glock pistol and ammo, comms equipment, lockpicks, camera

Personality: Annika is almost as catlike as human. She tends to come off as diffident and stubborn at first, although over time she can grow more personable and affectionate, and even playful with those that treat her well. While she can be focused "on the hunt", she is also very changeable in her attention, which can be an issue if not addressed.

History: Annika is from a dimension where felines rather than primates evolved into the dominant intelligent species on the planet. She was orphaned at an early age and raised by the Felinian government for their covert ops mercenary service. The demand for Felinian infiltration agents is in remarkably high demand and is hired out to a variety of governments multiverse-wide. She has two years in the FCMC (Felinian Covert Mercenary Corps) but this is her first assignment with the DSTF.

Player: The Islander
Name: Telmar
Age: 32
Gender: Male
Species: Scarpathian. Humanoid; Otherbeing.
Rank: Veteran - DTSF has acknowledged his time spent battling against the rifts. Officially has 16 years experience.
Squad Role: Pointman

Appearance: Looks human but spends majority of time in suit and/or armour. Physical appearance is dark hair, curly. Grey eyes and constant stubble. Face has many small scars that look like pink freckles and a longer scar mid bridge of nose along occipital bone and drops at 90° angle for 1.5 inches (R). One prosthetic eye (R), you don't know unless he tells you or you're a doctor or have worked on it. He is 6'2" and weighs approximately 175lbs.

v7uWkuQ.gif

Special Characteristics:
Can gather energy to create a shield for a limited period of time, create a repulse to push enemies back. Scrapathia has a much higher gravitational pull so Scarpathians are very strong when in many other dimensions.

They also have a much higher temperature that does not fluctuate and they must wear suits or stay in a room with a set temperature to keep their body temperature regulated. It is easy for a Scarpathian to become hypothermic without their armour, it is a weakness but rarely fatal. When they become ill, they're temperature drops, rather than running a fever. Even in a hypthermic state they would still feel warm to a human.

Personal/Specialty Equipment:
Scarpathian energy weapon commonly called EB - There is a disc shaped device placed on the inside of the wrist which extends to a blade shape. It can be a small dagger to a moderate length sword.

Scarpathian armour - created to adapt to each soldier and their fighting style. Soren's is extremely flexible and durable, it is not made to withstand explosives or high powered weapons. His fighting style is aggressive and typically rather close.

Scarpathian suit - a suit commonly worn by Scarpathians outside of their dimension be it diplomatic, military operations, science diving or civilian visits.

Scarpathian repair kit - repair kits with specialized adhesive to repair damage to suit and armour.

Standard Requisitions:
Assault rifle and side-arm. Med-kit.

Personality:
Serious, has trouble putting his feet up, needs some help learning to enjoy life, has begun to see other soldiers as friends/family rather than just expendable assets, especially humans.

He wants to enjoy the way the humans live but finds it difficult to let go of the way he was raised.

He hates cardio but works hard at it because he's not a natural runner.

History:
His dimension opened 3 years after the rifts began and it was initially a violent confrontation between humans and his kind before another rift opened. They teamed up to defeat the monsters and fell into a trepidatious alliance.

They are a militaristic kind, they've been dealing with rifts for generations and the humans are the first they'd made alliances with. At the age of 12 a Scarpathian child takes an aptitude test, they go from there to train as a scientist, a soldier or a buffer. Buffers do everything from farming, cleaning, and cooking for their scientists and soldiers.

He's been training to be a soldier since his own aptitude test and hasn't known much else in the way of life. He was told his mother and sister were killed when he was 18, two years after he'd been recruited into the Scarpathian military. Telmar's father was killed when he was 25.

He never got close to anyone because their whole lives were centered around training to defeat whatever comes through the rifts and they have a short lifespan. He didn't want to deal with mourning anyone he didn't have to.

He was on the frontline when the rift opened to Earth and was one of the first to make contact with them at the ceasefire. He trusts a few humans, but not many.
