The sand that stretched for miles forwards seemed as endless as the night sky. She could not remember the beginning of the desert and was not sure if there would be an end to it. How had she gotten to the desert? She had forgotten that some time back, she couldnâ??t even remember how long. It seemed like the sun never moved form its place in the sky and the sand beneath her feet was never a firm footing to stand on. It seemed that many who had set out on the endless sand met with the endless sleep. A sleep like that sleep was what she wanted. She wanted to be able to rest and wake up somewhere else that wasnâ??t here but it didnâ??t seem like that would work. She didnâ??t want to die, only to get out of this desert.
She was not equipped to walk around in the desert, thankfully her wide brimmed had blocked the sun form beating down on her head and roasting her brain. She had used a knife to cut off the ponytail she had in an attempt to cool down. Her hair was green, a formula had gone wrong and changed the color, it was supposed to be brown but it turned out green, another had turned her eyes red but she didnâ??t really mind either. The had was green, one of the reasons that she didnâ??t mind was that she liked the color. She had a cloak, it was heavy but the sun would fry her skin if it had been given the chance. She had removed the sleeves to help her cool off. The dress went down to her ankles, showing off the leather boots that had some how managed to stay sand free, or at least they flet that way.
She was not all that tan and from her skin and her dress one could tell that she was not from anywhere around here. In fact she was not entirely sure how she had got here to begin with. When she awoke she was somewhere in the desert, it had been night so she found the north star and she headed in that direction hoping to find a town soon. She was wearing a wide rimmed hat. The carved staff that she had became a huge help in getting around with her being so tired and as if those werenâ??t enough of a give away then it must be known that this girl was, in fact, a witch. She had a feeling that those around ehre didnâ??t believe in magic but she didnâ??t much care, in fact every care she had vanished the moment she saw a civilization on the horizon.
Real or some kind of trick brought on by heat and dehydration, she didnâ??t really care, it gave her hope. She began to run towards the village, hoping they would have food and water. She could feel her strength failing and her vision was getting blurry. No, Iâ??m so close! So close! She thought to herself and that was the last through she had. She tripped over the sad and fell, hitting the hot sand and lacking the energy to get back up. She was out of strength and as the blurry vision of the village faded to black she was sure that the sleep she was drifting into would really be her last.
