The castle couldn't had been more remote. Hundreds of miles of an aging road stretched through almost untouched wilderness without another soul in sight. There were no signs, no signal on the phone, even the GPS would have issues with keeping drivers on track. But this was the definitely the one and only road leading to the castle. Sitting up along the very end of an outstretched cliff over the sea, the multi-story castle looked to be in rather surprising good shape for being so remote. There were no signs of structural stress, just an overabundance of vines creeping up the walls. Someone had given the place a modernized touch with electric lamps leading up and into the courtyard. The clear lighting they gave helped distinguished the castle's appearance to the photo that was sent to each and every invited guest. This was definitely the place. Some windows were showing faint lights signaling someone was already waiting inside. Massive oak doors were left cracked open for anyone to walk inside, and good thing too as the night weather was starting to look very cloudy. Right on inside was a massive dining table and a roaring fire keeping everything crispy warm. There were no greeters right away, merely the guests that had to travel forever to get to this place. Acoustics of the chamber made even the smallest sound echo. Multiple doorways were shut closed around the place, all of them firmly locked shut. Aside from the fire, only one other sound was ringing out: the old grandfather clock ticking away along one of the walls, only ten minutes before midnight.
