Emma couldn’t belive what happend, a normal trip in unusual circumstances, but the snow had other ideas as her car tumbled off the road near her home. About 5 miles away, give or take. She knew of a house in the forest but had never met the neighbour, it was getting dark and the snow worse she decided to was wrapped up in her winter coat that quickly soaked her body even with her moving rather quickly she still stumbled over getting colder and wetter by the second. She had to be there soon. An hour or two later she was there, slowly and wearily crawling up the steps feeling sick and weak.
Pressing her body against the door she tried the handle and the door swung open, whimpering a little she felt tears stream down her face in relief. Closing the door behind her she sat for a while. Purely exhausted she stared around the house. The lights were on but she couldn’t hear anyone, she had to get warm but couldn’t find the strength to stand up, so she crawled stopping when her body screamed at her to rest.
Crawling through the large home she could see the flickering glow of a fire. Heat! Pressing her back against the door she fell into the run and moved as fast as her frozen body would get her. Shivering she winced as the heat felt like it was burning her skin. Peeling off her soaking wet coat she shivered and trembled heavily her fingers unable to grip her wet clothing to peel it off so she could get dry but getting naked in a strangers home seemed a bad idea. She suddenly felt dizzy and tipped her body to the side wrapping her arms around herself trying to keep as warm as she could, she could barely feel anything she was certain she would die...
